Carleton Edgar Denny, age 103, of Delight, Arkansas, died Tuesday December 25, 2007, in a Murfreesboro hospital. He was born January 12, 1904, in Glenn, Michigan, the son of the late Edgar A. and May Seymour Denny. He was a timber farmer and member of the Delight United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Vahnita McKinney Denny and 2 sisters. Survivors include 2 sons and daughters-in-law Carleton Denny, Jr. and wife Shirley, Joe D. Denny and wife Barbara all of Delight; 2 daughters and son-in-law Kathryn Broussard and husband Rogers of Houston, TX, Doris Denny of Arlington, VA; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.. Services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday at the Delight United Methodist Church with burial in Delight Cemetery. Rev. Freeman Henderson will officiate. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.
Harry W. Newton

Harry W. Newton, 63, of Antoine, died Thursday, December 20, 2007, at a Murfreesboro nursing home. He was born December 15, 1944, in Wardell, MO, the son of the late Ervin and Verna Busby Newton.
He was a Baptist.
Mr. Newton was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Lavoyce Newton, Howard, Newton; a niece, Pam Henderson; and two brothers-in-law, Cecil Price and Dale Gathright.
He is survived by two sisters, Vivian Gathright of Saratoga, AR and Sue Price of Antoine, AR; a number of nephews and nieces and a host of friends.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Sunday, December 23, at Antoine Cemetery, with Larry Bloomfield officiating, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro.
Kyle Andrews

Kyle Andrews, 91, of Delight, died Tuesday, December 18, 2007, at a Murfreesboro hospital. He was born February 18, 1916 in Delight, AR, the son of the late John Robert and Maude Elizabeth Doss Andrews.
He was a member of the Bowen Community Church. He was a gospel singer and Baptist. He was a member of the VFW, DAV, and Masonic Lodge # 250 Pisgah.
Mr. Andrews was preceded in death by four children, Kyle Andrews, Jr., and twins, Carl and Cecil Andrews and Linda Lou Andrews; granddaughter, Tiffany Davidson and one brother, E.A. “Mutt” Andrews.
He is survived by his wife, Dessie Andrews of Delight, AR; one son, Joey Andrews, and wife, Melissa, of Delight, AR; five daughters, Joy Brantley and husband, Thomas, of Delight AR: Betty Steele and husband, Ray, of Hope, AR, Grace Davidson and husband, Walter, of Prescott, AR; Susie O’Neal and husband, Jerry, of Delight, AR and Georgia Rhodes and husband, Stanley, of Delight, AR; one brother, Conrad Andrews of Sherwood, AR; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M., Friday, December 21st at Missionary Grove Baptist Church in Nubin Hill Community, with Neal Redlin and Jerry Burress officiating, burial in Nubin Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, December 20, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.

Sarah Newberg

Sarah Newberg, 97, of Nashville, died Monday, December 17, 2007, at a Nashville hospital. She was born December 1, 1910, in Mineral Springs, AR, the daughter of the late Jesse and Willie Coleman Cowling.
She was member of First United Methodist Church, Nashville, Loyal Girls Sunday School Class, Twilight Extension Homemaker Club and former member of DAR.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Newberg.
Mrs. Newberg is survived by three sons, Don Newberg of Nashville, AR, Bill Newberg of Ashdown, AR, and Jim Newberg of Nacogdoches, TX, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.and a host of friends.
Graveside Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 19, at Restland Memorial Park, with Rev. Russell Hull officiating, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Tuesday, December 18, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
Nannie Lou Black

Nannie Lou Black, 89, of Murfreesboro, died Monday, December 17, at a Texarkana hospital. She was born June 18, 1918 in Saratoga, AR, the daughter of the late William Oscar and Viola Bland McJunkins.
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Mrs. Black was preceded in death by her husband, Newt Black and one son, Dean Black.
She is survived by two daughters, Faye Champion of Wake Village, TX and Jane Fugitt of Murfreesboro, AR; nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host friends.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 18, at Murfreesboro Church of Christ, with Tommy Mounts officiating, burial will follow at 4:00 P.M., at Memory Gardens in Hope, AR, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M, Monday at Latimer Funeral Home- Murfreesboro.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Murfreesboro Church of Christ.

Charles Wayne Garner, 74, of Nashville, died Sunday, December 16 , 2007, at his home.
He was born June 18, 1933, in Nashville,AR, the son of the late Charlie Augustus and Elise Norsworthy Garner.
He was a retired Tyson’s Food Employee.
Mr. Garner is survived by his wife, Jackie Garner of Nashville, AR; two daughters, Belinda Nessmith of Brandon, FL and Sandy Lasater and husband, John, of Pea Ridge, AR; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of friends.

LaJuan I. King, age 70, of Nashville, Arkansas, died Friday, December 14, 2007, in Nashville. She was born March 11, 1937, in McCloud, Texas, the daughter of the late Jewell C. and Ida Bell Owens Lamar. She was a homemaker and member of the Church at Cross Gate in Hot Springs. She attended First Baptist Church in Nashville, where she was a member of the Copeland Sunday School Class, and was also a member of the EHC.
Survivors include her husband Enlo “Sonny” King of Nashville; 2 daughters Judi Lemons of Hot Springs, Pam Rhude of Burkburnette, TX; 1 sister Lou Gates of Hot Springs and 4 grandchildren. Services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 17, 2007, at Latimer Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
