Mary Eddie (Wilson) Lamb
March 16, 2008
Mary Eddie (Wilson) Lamb, 83, of Delight, AR, died peacefully at a Texarkana hospital surrounded by her family on Sunday, March 16, 2008. She was born July 4, 1924, the daughter of the late Edgar and Nora (Gilleyen) Wilson. She was an active member of the Delight Church of Christ. .
She was preceded in death by her father, Edgar Wilson; her mother, Nora Wilson; and three brothers, Jim, Joe and Hercel Wilson.
She is survived by her husband, of 68 years, Laymon Lamb of Delight, AR; two sons Tommy Lamb and wife, Floy, Jerry Lamb and wife, Henrietta, all of Delight, AR; one daughter, Cheryl Roberts and husband, Jerry, of Murfreesboro, AR; four grandsons, Tim, Reggie and Jason Lamb and Todd Roberts; nine granddaughters, Jenny Lou and Jerri Lynn Lamb, Jana Snowden, Holly Eoff, Tammy Kinley, Saniessa Lamb, Kristie Hill, Tara Roberts and Lacy Roberts; eighteen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lavern Johnson, Eloise Cotton and Sue Johnson; many loving nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her..
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Tuesday, March 18, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 19, at Delight Church of Christ, with Wallace Alexander, Randy Hughes and Sid Smith, burial in Delight Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro.

Mary Jo Parks
March 15, 2008
Mary Jo Parks, age 86, of Nashville, Arkansas, died Saturday, March 15, 2008, at a local hospital.
Mrs. Parks was born April 22, 1921, in Sheridan, AR, the daughter of the late Edward Isacc and Nola Rippy Shepherd.
She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Mrs. Parks was preceded in death by her husband Elmer (Parkie) Parks, and a sister Edwina Tullous.
Survivors include two sons, Woody L Parks and wife Jeanette of Bakersfield, CA; Tommy Parks and wife Delores of Bossier City, LA; two daughters Patty Jo Beckwith and husband Richard of Green e, NY; Cindy Coplin and husband Larry of Nashville, AR; one brother Hosa Lee Shepherd and wife Barbara of Russellville, AR; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren., also special friends Billy, Amber, and Wayne Macks.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 P.M, Tuesday, March 18, at the Latimer Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Glen Green officiating. Under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home.

Edward Lewis “Son” Schooley
March 13, 2008
Edward Lewis “Son” Schooley, 86, of Mineral Springs, died Thursday, March 13, 2008, at a Nashville hospital. He was born February 12, 1922, in Mineral Springs, AR, the son of the late Dillard and Carrie Gant Schooley.
He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He was a farmer.
Mr. Schooley was preceded in death by his wife, Erma Lois Schooley and one sister, Hilma Hunt.
He is survived by one daughter, Sharlotte Fisk of Mineral Springs, AR; and three grandchildren, Randy Teague and wife, Teresa, Keith Teague and wife, Keri and Katelyn Teague; four great-grandchildren, Samantha and Lorelei Teague, Taylor and Justin Teague and one nephew, Larry Hunt and a host of friends.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Sunday, March 16, at Latimer Funeral Home Chapel, with Tim Freel, Jr. and Keith Mays officiating, burial in Liberty Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Liberty Cemetery or Howard County Children’s Center.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Saturday, March 15, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.

Zelda Mayfern Blair
March 10, 2008
Zelda Mayfern Blair, 81, of Nashville, died Monday, March 10, 2008, at her home.
She was born May 9, 1926, in Helena, AR, the daughter of the late George and Marie Snyder Sanding.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Blair was preceded in death by her husband, Kelly Blair, two sons, Bobby Raymond Blair and Timothy Edward Blair, one daughter, Betty Cardyn, three brothers, Billy, Warren and Charles Perry.
She is survived by two sons, Kelly Blair, Jr., of Murfreesboro, AR and Charles Bufford Blair of Michigan City, IN, seven daughters, Joyce Elaine Whitson, Shirley Ann Shattuck, Brenda Marie Baker, Pamela Kaye Blair, Catherine Norene Childers, Lisa Regina Lopez, all of Nashville, AR and Rebecca Lynn Walters of Cherokee Village, AR; two sisters, Thelma Swisher of Coldwater, MS and Jackie Tacker of Moline, IL, thirteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; a number of nephews and nieces and a host of friends.
Services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M., Thursday, March 13, at Latimer Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. David Blasé officiating, burial in County Line Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Wednesday, March 12, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.

Danny Alexander, age 47, of Nashville, Arkansas, died Friday, March 7, 2008, at a Little Rock hospital.
Mr. Alexander was born November 4, 1960, in Goldsboro, NC, the son of Charles C. Alexander and the late Jennie R. Simmons.
He was a member of Life Tabernacle Church.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie Alexander of Nashville, AR, four sons, Marshall Evins of Nashville, AR, Jeremy Alexander of Haughton, LA, Gerry Stephens of Hope, AR and James Clark of Nashville, AR; three daughters, Regina Clark of Nashville, AR, Danielle Shamplin of Haughton, LA and Mary Beth Alexander of Shreveport, LA; two brothers, Darty Alexander and wife, Malea, of Pineville, LA, Charles Alexander and, Connie, of Baton Rouge, LA; three sisters, Aleta Hughes and husband, Erwin, of Springshill, LA, Margaret Porter and husband, Ben, of Heavener, OK and Loretta Howell and husband, Richard, of Pell City, AL; five grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other family members, as well as a lot of friends.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, March 11, at Latimer Funeral Home, with Bro. Billy Sanders officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday, March 10, form 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.

Ruby May Coleman Barton

Ruby May Coleman Barton, 96, of Nashville, AR, died Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at a Nashville hospital. She was born May 6, 1911, at Nashville, AR, the daughter of the late Jasper Franklin and Mattie Pardue Coleman.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church and past teacher and member of Trinity Sunday School Class. She was past member of Twilight Extension Homemaker Club. She was co-owner of Barton’s Grocery and Cattle and Chicken Farm.
Mrs. Barton was preceded in death by her husband, B.J. Barton; one brother Earnest Coleman; one sister, Pearl Young and one grandson, Rick Castleberry.
She is survived by one son, Bobby Barton and wife, Nelda, of Nashville, AR; one daughter, Annie Nell Gathright and husband, Pete, of Nashville, AR; five grandchildren, Elizabeth Green and husband, Joe, of Rison, AR, Billy Barton and wife, Yolanda, of Nashville, AR, Charles Barton and wife Eunsu of Columbus, GA, Michael Barton and wife, Andrea, of Nashville, AR, Rhonda Moses and Gerald, of Little Rock, AR; seventeen great-grandchildren; ten great-great grandchildren; a number of nieces, a nephew, a cousin, and a host of friends.
Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Saturday, March 8, at First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Russell Hull officiating, burial in Unity Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday, March 7, from 6:00– 8:00 P.M.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Nashville, AR.
