Leroy Zachry
March 23, 2007
Leroy Zachry, 74, of Mineral Springs, died Friday, March 23, 2007 at a Texarkana hospital. He was the son of the late Robbie Louis and Joerena Wyatt Zachry.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mineral Springs.
Survivors include his wife Minnie Zachry of Mineral Springs, AR; two daughters Deb and husband Tim Turley of Nashville, AR; and Ronda and husband, Michael Kwok of Nashville, AR. Two sisters Donnis and husband Hugh Carver of Mineral Springs, AR; and Beverly and husband Bruce Corbell of Ashdown, AR; five grandchildren, Adriane and husband, Jeremy Pickett, Whitney Turley, Amanda McClellan, Alex Kwok and Zachary Kwok; a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Sunday, March 25, at Latimer Funeral Home Chapel with Rcvs. Vicki Stephens and William Tyler officiating, burial in Bluff Springs Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Saturday, March 24, at Latimer Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Mineral Springs.

Luther Deral Plunk
March 22, 2007
Luther Deral Plunk, 75, of Murfreesboro, died Thursday, March 22, 2007, at a Texarkana hospital. He was born August 4, 1931, at Roy, AR, the son of the late Holtie and Lillian Stewart Plunk.
Mr. Plunk loved to fish; he was a member of Temple Baptist Church. He was an Army Veteran.
He is survived by three sons, Garry Lynn Plunk of Texarkana, Deral Dwain Plunk of Texarkana and Shawn Christopher Plunk of Texarkana; two daughters, Darlene Majors of Tatum, TX and Debbie Riddle of Burleson, TX; one sister, Monetha Thomas of Texarkana; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a host of friends.
Graveside Services are scheduled for 3:00 P.M., Saturday, March 24, at Roy Cemetery, with Rev. Rodney Thomas officiating; under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro.

Kelly Dennison Golden
March 21, 2007
Kelly Dennison Golden, 91, of Murfreesboro, AR, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at a Hot Springs hospital. He was born January 8, 1917 to the late Robert E. and Tenia Blevins Golden.
He was a member of the Murfreesboro Church of Christ.
Mr. Golden was preceded in death by his wife Gladys Mae James Golden.
Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law, Darrell Golden of Murfreesboro, AR; and Royce and Mary Golden of Texarkana, AR; two daughters and son-in-law Linda Golden of Murfreesboro, AR, Patricia and Kenneth Maxwell of Benton, AR; one brother Raymond Golden of Oklahoma City, OK; one sister Lucille Arocha of Cove, AR; four grandchildren David Golden of Washington D.C., Michael Golden of Carrolton, TX, Christy Mars of Memphis, TN, and Allison Everhart of Bryant, AR; one great-grandchild Charlotte Golden of Washington D.C.
Graveside Services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 24, at Athens Cemetery with Tommy Mounts officiating. Under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:000 P.M., Friday, March 23 at Latimer Funeral Home- Murfreesboro.
Memorials may be made to the Barton Bible Camp.

Mary Edith Bennett
March 21, 2007
Mary Edith Bennett, age 87, of Nashville, AR, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at a Texarkana, hospital. She was born April 9, 1919 to the late Calvin and Ruby Walker Cassady.
She was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Mrs. Bennett was preceded in death by her husband Edgar Opal Bennett; two brothers Gene and Charlie Robert Cassady; two sisters Revel Corbell, and Betty Bowles; as well as one grandson Tony Bennett.
Survivors include two sons, Michael and Patrick Bennett both of Nashville, AR; three daughters Ruby Wilson of Sapulpa, OK; Carolyn Harris of Oklahoma City, OK; and Laverne Oestman of Denver, CO; two brothers Loy and David Cassady both of Nashville, AR; and five sisters, Lola Jewel Deal of Winston, OR; Mildred Locke of Bell Garden, CA; Neta Pearl Chapman of Rocky Branch, LA; Janis Kist of Darnelle, AR; and Helen Rogers of Nashville, AR.; fourteen grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2:00 P.M., Monday, March 26, at the Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Nashville, with Bro. Glen Green officiating. Burial will follow in County Line Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home.

Billy Joe Holt
March 19, 2007
Billy Joe "Bubba" Holt, age 60, of Murfreesboro, AR; died March 19, 2007, at a Hot Springs hospital. He was born October 14, 1946 in Galena Park, Texas the son of the late Herman Eugene and Helen Holcomb Holt.
He was a Baptist, a member of the NRA, and a Class A industrial mechanic for Briar Gypsum for thirty-five years.
He is survived by his wife Velda Keys Holt of Murfreesboro, AR; two daughters Crystal and husband Jon Funderburg of Murfreesboro, AR; Bethany and husband Ricky Anderson of Murfreesboro, AR; three sisters Deborah Howard and Pam Bennett both of Murfreesboro, AR; and Brenda Smith of Texarkana, AR; one grandchild, Aubrey Annah Funderburg of Murfreesboro, AR.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Thursday, March 22, at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro, Wednesday, March 21, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
Memorials may be made to the Pike County Memorial Hosptial.

Ruby Fay Jones
November 15, 2007
Ruby Fay Jones, 84, of Texarkana, died Thursday, November 15, 2007, at her home.
She was born September 4, 1923, in New Hope, AR, the daughter of the late John Robert and Minnie Belle Aylor Alford.
She was a member of Hickory Street Baptist Church and the Phebean Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Woodrow Jones, two daughters, Joan Jones and Judith Karen Jones.
She is survived by two sons, Billy Jones and wife, Patty, of Texarkana and Terry Jones and wife, Pam, of Garvin, OK; two daughters, Sue McAfee and husband, Porter, of Texarkana and Dottie Roberts and husband, Paul of Texarkana; nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; and a host of friends.
Graveside Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Sunday, November 18, at Mineral Springs Cemetery, with Rev. Joe Strebeck officiating, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
The family will receive friends at Mrs. Jones’ home in Texarkana, AR, Saturday, from 5:00 – 9:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hickory Street Baptist Church Building Fund.

Vernon Hodges
November 13, 2007
Vernon Hodges, 86, of Hope, died Tuesday, November 13, in a Hot Springs hospital. He was born November 23, 1920, in Daisy, AR, the son of the late Peter and Arizona Hodges.
He was a retired carpenter and served in the Army in World War II. He was raised in Daisy, AR.
Mr. Hodges was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Faye Hodges of Hope, AR; one daughter, Pat Thrash and husband, Larry M., of Venus, Texas; two grandsons, Michael Thrash of Venus, TX and Larry Wayne Thrash of Venus, TX and eight great grandchildren, Kristina, Brittney, Ryan, Brody , Michael , Britney Thrash, and Courtney and Nathan Cox and one great-great granddaughter.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 17, at Delight Cemetery, with Larry Brown officiating, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday, November 16, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
