Robert Willroth
Robert A. Willroth, 80, of Mountainburg died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, at a local hospital. He was a member of Presbyterian Church in Mountainburg, Lions Club and Clear Creek Masonic Lodge No. 322. He was associated with Midland Bowling Alley at its inception, former owner/operator of Mountainburg Dairy Dream and widower of Madelyn Willroth.
Survivors include four sons, Alan, Robert P., Jerry R. and Dale L. Willroth, all of Mountainburg; one brother, William Willroth of Denison, Iowa; and eight grandchildren, Matt, Steve, Ryan, Brooke, Greg, Jennifer, Heather and Dustin.
Funeral service was held Oct. 17 at Presbyterian Church in Mountainburg. Burial was at Vaught Cemetery in Mountainburg under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
Pallbearers were Doyle Osburn, Art Richmond, Ned Spivey, Don Shepherd, Gary Marshall and Terry Bassham. Honorary pallbearers were members of Men's Presbyterian Breakfast Club.
Memorial contributions may be made to Presbyterian Church, 109 Highway 71 Southwest, Mountainburg, Ark., 72946.
Timothy Brasuell
Timothy Brasuell, 17, of McKinney, Texas, died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2000, in McKinney. He was a former resident of Van Buren.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Sheila and Jerry Harris of McKinney; father and stepmother, Steve and Delores Selman of Greenwood; and one sister, Jacqueline Johnson of Van Buren.
Graveside service was held Oct. 18 at New Hope Cemetery in Spiro under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers were Timothy Mantooth, Robbie Harris, Adrian Whitehurst, Jeffrey Whitehurst, Billy Gilbert and Cody Dyer.
Fred Gibbs
Fred E. Gibbs, 96, of Dora died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000, at his home. He was a member of Woodland Hills Pentecostal Church in Roland, lifelong resident of Crawford County and retired painter.
Survivors include four daughters, Linda Gibbs of Dora, Ola Mae Hicks of Kibler, Ima Gene Henderson of Charleston and Virginia Roberson of Plymouth, N.C.; three sons, Frank and James Gibbs, both of Van Buren, and Freddie Gibbs of Atmore, Ala.; 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and one nephew.
Funeral service was held Oct. 18 at Woodland Hills Pentecostal Church in Roland. Burial was at Dora Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers were Joe Pat Fletcher, Jim Grones, Melvin Roberts, Delmas Roberts, Kenny Roberts and Wess Vaughans. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Men's Bible Class at Woodland Hills Pentecostal Church.
Eldon Stephens
Eldon Stephens, 80, of Van Buren died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001, at a local hospital. He was a retired supervisor for the Union Pacific Oil Company in Long Beach, Calif., a member of the Army Air Corps, member of the American Legion Ellig-Stouffer Post No. 31, and a retired supervisor for the Crawford County Road Department. He was preceded in death by his wife, May E. Stephens.
Survivors include one daughter, Pam Grimmett of Van Buren; three sons, James E. Stephens of Dyer, Joseph K. Stephens of Mulberry and Gerry D. Stephens of Van Buren; three sisters, Nellie Tomblin of Apple Valley, Calif., Marie Warsh of Westminster, Calif., and Norma Gell of Torrence, Calif.; one brother, John Stephens Jr. of Malvern; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was held Oct. 20 at Gracelawn Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers were Sonny Grimmett, Stephen Locklear, Terry Ray, Brian Locklear, Stan Grimmett and Johnny Stephens.
T.J. Jordan
T.J. Jordan, 68, of Rudy died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2001, at a local nursing home. He was a retired laborer and of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Ann of Oklahoma and Lessie Mae of Fort Smith; two sisters, Marie Stuckle of Fort Smith and Gladys Harp of Van Buren; three brothers, Joel of Rudy and Roy and Troy, both of Tulsa; four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was held Oct. 20 at Sarah Grove Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
