Dorothy Walters
Dorothy B. Walters, 73, of Winslow died Sunday, June 3, 2001, at a local nursing home. She was a retired employee of Shepard of the Hills and a homemaker.
Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy Sue Walters of Winslow; three sons, Jim Walters of Seaside, Calif., Rob Walters of Dallas and Chuck Walters of Baltimore, Md.; one brother, Charles Quinn of New Orleans, La.; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The body will be cremated under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.

Esther Conley
Esther M. Conley, 70, of Fort Smith died Sunday, June 3, 2001, at a local hospital. She was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, George Conley; one daughter, Robin Byars of Muldrow; one son Michael G. Conley of Van Buren; one brother, Kendall Gothard Sr. of Greenwood; and six grandchildren
Funeral service was held June 6 at First Freewill Baptist Church. Burial was at Spiegel Cemetery in Bloomer under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers were Dean Winters, Floyd Moss, Kendall Gothard Jr., Dale Conley, Mark Byars and Joseph Conley.

Martha King
Martha E. King, 72, of Fort Smith died Sunday, June 3, 2001, at a local hospital. She was a Protestant, a volunteer worker for WestArk R.S.V.P., Western Arkansas Counseling and Guidance Center, Westark College and the Salvation Army.
Survivors include her husband, Walter E. King Sr.; three sons, Walter E. “Lucky” King of Tucker, Jack E. King Sr. of Jacksonville and Wayne King of Van Buren; two sisters, Jessie Hale of Fort Smith and Caroline Crenzshaw of Greenwood; 12 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
Family will visit with friends Thursday from 6–9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Reynolds Cancer Support House, 3324 S. M St., Fort Smith, AR 72903.

Carmen Young
Carmen S. Young, 86, of Van Buren died Tuesday, May 29, 2001, at a local nursing home. She was a retired lab technician for Crawford Memorial Hospital and a member of Kibler Road Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin P. Young.
Survivors include two daughters, Nelda Morland and Loretta West, both of Van Buren; one son, Franklin Pierce Young Jr. of Van Buren; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held June 1 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren. Burial was held at Gill Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Mike Castleberry, Danny Hubbard, Danny Tounzen, Trey Tounzen, Derek Morland, Damon Morland and Paul Curd.
