Brett Rainwater
Brett Austin Stephens Rainwater, 38, of Rudy died Friday, May 25, 2001.
He was a construction worker for Reed’s Construction.
Survivors include his wife Teresa; two daughters, Ciera Rainwater and Britney Rainwater; one stepdaughter, Ashley Mosby; his mother and stepfather, Anita and Jerry Carter of Alma; his father and stepmother, Milton and Linda Stephens of Spiro, Okla.; four sisters, Angela Brown of Rover, Mary Tyler of Fort Smith, Stefoni Melton of Texas and Crystal White of Alma; four brothers, Royce Blood of Sapulpa, Okla., Bryant Stephens of Fort Smith, Neal Tyler of Pine Bluff and Jess Carter of California.
Funeral service was held May 30 at Edwards Van–Alma Funeral Home Chapel.
The body will be cremated under the direction of Edwards Van–Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.

Leora Bishop
Leora M. Bishop, 79, of Van Buren died Saturday, May 26, 2001.
She was a homemaker and member of Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witness Church in Van Buren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Bishop.
Survivors include one daughter, Beverly Alton of Van Buren; one sister, Joyce Tobin of Sioux City, Iowa; and one brother, Leland Baker of New Ulm, Minn.
The body will be cremated with a memorial service to be held at a later date under the direction of Edwards Van–Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.

Frances O’Keefe
Frances D. O’Keefe, 77, of Van Buren died May 29, 2001, at a local nursing home.
She was a retired bookkeeper for Sparks Credit Union, a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and past president of Catholic Business Women’s Association.
Survivors include one daughter, Sister Mary Thomas O’Keefe of Hot Springs and one sister, Elizabeth June Davis of Van Buren.
Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Putman Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers will be James Bruning, Gene Bruick, Bill Becker and Jim Moore.
Memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 22 N. 13th St., Fort Smith, Ark. 72901.

Ray Boster
Charles Ray Boster, 78, of Fort Smith died Monday, May 28, 2001, at a local hospital.
He was an Air Force veteran of World War II, a retired service station owner, butcher for Kroger, Market Basket and Goff Brothers Grocery Stores.
Survivors include one daughter, Diane Stuart of Van Buren; three sons, David Boster of Van Buren, Dennis Boster of Fort Smith and Donald Boster of Alma; one sister, Leila Lollis of Van Buren; two brothers, Wayne Boster of Van Buren and Doyle Boster of Lincoln, Neb.; and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren.
Burial will be held at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Brad Boster, Brent Boster, Marty Stuart and Joe Dan Boster.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Dew, Bud Riley, Raymond Beckner and Leonard Keck.
