Harvey Hopkins
Harvey Edward Hopkins, 71, of Alma died Monday, May 14, 2001, at a local hospital. He was retired from the Army and served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was also retired from Capco Pipe Company as a Plant Superintendent. He is preceded in death by his wife, Liane Hopkins.
Survivors include three daughters, Dolores Chandler of Greenbrier, Susanne Moses of Van Buren and Tanya Coram of Alma; one son, Norman Hopkins of Alma; six sisters, Ruby Thomas of Cleveland, Ga., Doris Metcalf of Arkadelphia, Joyce Dickerson of Ozark, Linda Sparkman of Iowa, Esther Weldon of Fort Smith and Carol Mann of New Mexico; one brother, Jack Reed of Natural Dam; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 17 at U.S. National Cemetery with full military honors under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be the military.
The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 6–8 p.m. at Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

Joyce Love
Joyce E. (Long) Love, 75, of Fort Smith died Monday, May 14, 2001, at a local hospital. She was a member of the Friendly Pentecostal Church in Van Buren and was a homemaker.
Survivors include one step-daughter, Sherry Long; one step-son, Mike Love of Idabelle, Okla.; a nephew, Alvin Warren Saylor of Fort Smith; and a brother-in-law, Thomas Allen of Blocker, Okla.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren. Burial will be held a t Gracelawn Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home.

Kenneth Gifford
Kenneth Odell Gifford, 68, of Alma died Monday, May 14, 2001, at a local hospital. He was a retired supervisor with Riverside III Manufacturing and a member of Assembly of God Church in Dyer.
Survivors include his wife, Elsie Jean Gifford; his uncle, Louis Oxford of Mulberry; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 17 at Dyer Cemetery under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Mulberry.
Pallbearers will be his nieces and nephews.

Edgar Lee Jackson
Edgar Lee Jackson, 59, of Mountainburg died Friday, April 20, 2001, at a local hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred.
Graveside service was held April 26 at Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.

Pat Fath
Pat "Holley" Fath, 73, of Alma died Monday, April 23, 2001. She was a homemaker, artist, songwriter, professional astrologer, former teacher in the Mountainburg school system and attended Van Buren Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Cheryll Cartwright of Mountainburg and Leta Cruse of Rudy; one son, Carl H. Fath Jr. of Kibler; five grandchildren, Toni Cruse of Van Buren, Jessica Cruse of Rudy, Angie Cartwright of Austin, Texas, Kellie LaRue of Alma and Michael Cruse, Jr. of Fort Smith; three great-grandchildren, Taylor Cruse of Van Buren, Roxanne LaRue and Christopher LaRue both of Alma; a niece and a nephew.
A memorial service was held April 26 at Edwards Van-Alma Chapel. The body was cremated under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
