Edward Curd
Edward D. Curd, 65, of Cedarville died Friday, April 20, 2001, at a local hospital.
He was a veteran of the Air Force
Survivors include several brothers and sisters.
Graveside service will be held Wednesday at Ware Cemetery at McRae in White County, under the direction of Westbrook Funeral Home of Beebe.

Barbara Palmer
Barbara Sue Palmer, 68, of Alma died Monday, April 23, 2001.
She was a retired community property underwriter and member of the Eastern Star Rio Vista Chapter and United Methodist Church, Rio Vista.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Travis Palmer.
Survivors include one son, Larry Keller of Van Buren; her mother and stepfather, Leona and Jack Powell of Atoka, Okla.; two aunts, Wanda Jackson and Novia Meadows, both of Alma; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside service was held April 25 at Grange Hall Cemetery in Johnson County, Texas, under the direction of Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home of Cleburne, Texas.
Memorial contributions may be made to United Methodist Church, Rio Vista or Eastern Star Rio Vista Chapter.

Truman Morse
Truman Thomas Morse, 77, of Alma died Monday, April 23, 2001, at a local hospital.
He was a farmer and a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Morse; three daughters, Shirley Hale of Fort Smith and Linda Robertson and Catherine Gilliam, both of Van Buren; four sons, Steve Morse of Uniontown, Kenny Morse of Roland, and Wayne Morse and Mark Morse, both of Van Buren; four sisters, Irene Campbell of Oklahoma, Imogene Coleman of Washington and Hazel McCullom and Wilma Henderson, both of Alma; three brothers, Ed Morse of Dyer and Odell Morse and James Morse, both of Alma; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was held April 25 at Pope Cemetery in Mountainburg under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
Pallbearers were Randy Nolan, Frankie Crumpton, J.C. Green, Floyd Biggs, Johnny Miller and Donnie Cecil.

Orville Barkley
Orville A. Barkley, 88, of Visalia, Calif., formerly of Van Buren, died Tuesday, April 10, 2001.
He was employed by Charles J. Hammer Machinery Co. for 25 years before his retirement.
The native of Paden, Okla., was a member of Visalia First Assembly of God Church and widower of Ruby McElvany Edwards.
Survivors include two daughters, Helen Edwards Luttrell and Betty Bell, both of Visalia; three sons, Bill Barkley of Van Buren and Jerry Barkley and Carl Barkley, both of Tulare, Calif.; one sister, Martha Barkley of Cleara, Okla.; 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was held April 13 at Visalia District Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Optimal Hospice, 1315 Boughton Drive, Bakersfield, Calif., 93308.
