Lloyd Wilbourn
Lloyd W. Wilbourn, 83, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, March 7, 2001, at a local nursing home.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Central Europe.
He was awarded the Bronze Star, was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, American Legion and Frisco Railroad Club, retired from Frisco Railroad and a ham radio operator with Army Mars Network and Fort Smith Amateur Radio Club.
Survivors include his wife, Ada Wilbourn; one daughter, Peggy Sebourn of Fort Smith; one son, William "Bill" Wilbourn of Rudy; four sisters, Claudia Harris and Pauline Wells, both of Van Buren, Baby Ruth Falkner of Roland and Beulah Faye Matthews of Sallisaw; two brother, Paul Loftin and Dib Loftin, both of Van Buren; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Marcy 9 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren.
Burial was at Gracelawn Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Kevin, Shannon and Greg Wilbourn, Charles and Glen Sebourn and John Dean.

Jessie Beavers
Jessie Beavers, 79, of Muskogee died Friday, Feb. 16, 2001, at a Tulsa hospital.
He was retired from United meat Processing Co. and widower of Agnes Beavers.
Survivors include one sister, Helen Shibley of Roland; two brothers, Vernon Beavers of Fort Smith and Prince Beavers of Van Buren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service was held Feb. 19 at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.

Robert Beckham
Robert T. Beckham, 52, of Van Buren died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001, at his home.
He was a millroom worker at Arkansas Woodworkers in Van Buren and a carpenter.
Survivors include his companion, Patty Patterson; one daughter, Christina Edwards of Barling; one stepdaughter, Misty Powell of Van Buren; one son, Robert Beckham of Van Buren; one stepson, Cody Patterson of the home; two sisters, Wanda Wear of Fort Smith and Jo Quiram of LaCenter, Minn.; two brothers, Roy Gene Beckham and Jerry D. Beckham, both of Fort Smith; and six grandchildren, Audrianna and Kassandra Beckham of DuValls Bluff, Ark., Cherokee and Leah Nicole Spencer of Barling and Chyenne and Allen Powell of Van Buren.
There will be a private family committal of cremains at 4 p.m. Thursday at Gill Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.

Sylvia Burkhart
Sylvia Leona Burkhart, 90, of Van Buren died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001, at a nursing home.
She was a homemaker and of the Assembly of God faith.
Survivors include three daughters, Betty Dixon of Garland, Texas, Jonnie Neal of Van Buren and Shirley Jack of Park Hill, Okla.; two sons, Walter Burkhart of Sherman, Texas, and Gary Burkhart of Van Buren; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was held Feb. 19 at Gill Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
