Melvin Ray Mills
Melvin Ray Mills, 71, died June 13, 2001, in Marysville, Calif. He was born and raised in Uniontown and was the last surviving child of Omer and Ruth Mills. He was a retired heavy equipment operator. He is a descendant of long time pioneer Uniontown families, the Comstocks, Smalls and Mills. He was preceded in death by two sisters Goldie and Fern and three brothers Thomas, Roscoe and J.M.
He is survived by his wife Mary Lou; one son, Omer Ray; four daughters Melva, Karen, Christine, and Marcy all of the Marysville and Sacramento area and many nieces and nephews in the Van Buren and Uniontown area.

Ike Crabtree
Ike Wilson Crabtree, 81, of Mountainburg died Friday, June 15, 2001. He was retired and a World War II veteran.
Survivors include his wife Irene Crabtree; two daughters, Nancy Roberts of Springfield, Mo., and Sharla Harp of Kansas, Okla.; two stepdaughters, Linda Sue Morgan of Mountainburg and Mary Ann Casey of Rudy; one stepson, Thomas Morgan III of Van Buren; two grandchildren, Mary Clark of Springfield, Mo., and Stasha Harp of Kansas, Okla.; six step-grandchildren and one step-great grandchild.
Graveside service was held June 18 at Fairview Cemetery in Fayetteville under the direction of Edwards Van–Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas Morgan III, Leo Anderson, Thomas Morgan Jr. (TJ), Jim Casey, Travis Morgan, Eric Scowden, Aaron Scowden, Brian McKenzie and Tim Brooker.

Tink Brown
Tink E. Brown, 76, of Van Buren died Sunday, June 17, 2001. He was a retired plumber with Malone Mechanical, a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local #29,a 32nd degree mason.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Patton of Van Buren; two sons, Dale Brown of Fayetteville and Paul Brown of Cedarville; five sisters, Beatrice Moore and Lois Geels, both of Fort Smith, Nancy Williams of Van Buren, Earnestine Brasher of Cedarville and Josephine Fears of Uniontown; one brother, Charlie Brown of Springdale; four grandchildren, Janet Patton of Lexington, Ky., Amy Patton of Springdale, Greg Brown of Houston, Texas and Jennifer Brown of Cedarville.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Ocker Memorial Chapel. Burial will be held at Dripping Springs Cemetery with a graveside masonic service under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Vestel Wood, Mike Malone, Larry Merrill, Bob Brown, Melvin Williams and Larry Briley.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local #29, Jay Freeman, Marvin Briley and AG Morrison.
Memorial contributions may be made to Cedarville Public Schools, P.O. Box, Cedarville, AR 72932.

Minnie McClung
Minnie McClung, 97, of Hartford, died Sunday, June 17, 2001 at a local nursing home. She was a music teacher in Midland and Hartford and a retired cafeteria worker from Hartford School System. She was a member of the Hartford Baptist Church were she played the organ and piano for over 75 years. She is preceded in death by her husband J.A. McClung.
Survivors include two sons, John A. McClung Jr. of Huffman, Texas and Paul McClung of Sherwood; four daughters, Wanda Millican and Wilma Yocum of Fort Smith, Thelma J. Gibson of Van Buren and Naomi Parker of Ozark; 30 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 21 at First Baptist Church of Hartford. Burial will be held at Hartford Memorial Park under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home in Hartford.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Larry Yocum, Bobby Yocum, Michael Parker, Robert Parker, Robert Millican, Richard Millican and Danny King.
Honorary pallbearers will be her remaining grandsons.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Hartford.

Clarence Bell
Clarence A. Bell, father of Van Buren Police Chief Kenneth Bell, died Monday, June 18, 2001, at a nursing home in Bryan, Ohio. He was 69 years old. He was born on May 1, 1932, in Tustin, Mich. to Phineas and Lucy (Poff) Bell. He marriage Patricia Hanks in Angola, Ind., on May 21, 1990. He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as a sister, Helen Hilt, and brothers, Leonard and Robert Bell.
Mr. Bell served his country in the National Guard. He was a diesel mechanic for many years. He was also a shop foreman at Central Transport in Morency, Mich., for several years before retiring in 1996. He enjoyed square dancing and served as a square dance caller. He also enjoyed collecting model trains.
Other survivors include his wife, Patricia Bell of Camden, Mich.; three sons, Clarence Bell of Bryan, Ohio, Dennis Bell of Bryan, Ohio, and Donald Bell of Archibald, Ohio; a sister, Evelyn Coffee of Roscommon; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 21 at Highland Township Cemetery under the direction of Fosnaught Funeral Home in Marion, Mich.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hillside Country Dementia Living Unit.
