Thomas Oliver
Thomas Joseph Oliver II, 85, of Wewoka, Okla., died Monday, Jan. 1, 2001, at a Holdenville hospital. He was a former Crawford County resident a retired bookkeeper.
Funeral service was held Jan. 3 with burial at Holdenville Cemetery under the direction of Stout Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Edith V. Oliver; one son, Thomas Sluder of Cromwell; one sister, Lillian "Trixie" McDonald of Van Buren; eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were John Hall, Brad Hall, Thomas Oliver, Larry Mitchell, Robert Noisey and Leslie Hernandez.

Deborah Potter
Deborah Potter, 49, of Mulberry died Monday, Jan. 1, 2001, as a local hospital. She was a homemaker.
Memorial service was held Jan. 5 at Ocker Funeral Home Chapel in Alma. The body was cremated.
She is survived by her fiancee, Dale Parker of Mulberry; and one sister, Mary McBroom of Kansas.

Ida Sallee
Ida Marie Sallee, 86, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001, at her home. She was a homemaker, a member of Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church in Van Buren and a former Sunday School teacher.
She is survived by her husband, Bob; one daughter, Joann Dunaway of Fort Smith; three grandchildren, Cheryl Gentry of 88 Community and Wayne Mantooth and Rita Noblin, both of Fort Smith; and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was held Jan. 5 at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers were Jerry and Max Gentry, Wayne and Chris Mantooth, Ceeth Noblin and Eddie Vaughn.

Ralph Turner
Ralph E.G. Turner, 92, of Van Buren died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2000, at a local nursing home. He was a retired mechanic and widower of Priscilla Turner.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Lindsey of Riverside, Calif.; one son, Edward Turner of Van Buren; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral service was held Jan. 4 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren. Burial was at Gill Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home.

Orvel Thomas
Orvel Howard Thomas, 77, of Van Buren died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001, at a local hospital. He was retired from the Arkansas State Highway Department after 21 years.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Eugenia; two daughters, Elaine Bush of Muldrow and Lorraine Farmer of Fort Smith; three sons, Lee Thomas of Alma, Randy Thomas of Sardis, Miss., and David Thomas; one sister, Dorothy Neal of Van Buren; one brother, Gene Thomas of Alma; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held Jan. 4 at Edwards Van-Alma Chapel. Burial was at Gracelawn Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Glenn Cameron, Todd Thomas, Chuck Neal and Ken Redding.
