Chester Crawford
Chester Crawford, 84, of Van Buren died Monday, Dec. 25, 2000, at his home. He was a member of Rena Road Church of Christ and Van Buren Masonic Lodge, Coast Guard veteran of World War II and retired truck driver.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Marie Crawford; one sister, Betty Jackson of Tulsa; one brother, Bobby Crawford of Alma; nine nephews, Gregg Crawford of Fort Smith, Grant Crawford and W.L. Arnold, both of Texas, Jeff Crawford of Springdale, Wilford Arnold of Alma, Bob Crouch of Fayetteville, Ryan Martin of Dallas and Steve Crawford and Neal Crawford, both of Washington; five nieces, Jennifer Martin of Texas, Deborah Crouch of Fayetteville, Lisa Tresch of Tulsa and Kathy and Lisa Crawford of Washington; and caregiver, Junior Bing.
Funeral service was held Dec. 29 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren. Burial was at Gill Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Gregg Crawford, Grant Crawford, Jeff Crawford, Wilford Arnold, W.L. Arnold, Bob Crouch and Ryan Martin.

LaReine Graham
LaReine Ann Graham, 68, of Mountainburg died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2000, at her home. She was a retired warden for the Los Angeles County Department of Probation, former resident of Lakewood, Calif., who had lived in Mountainburg for six years and Catholic.
Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Duggin of Chester and Celia Graham-Adams of Mulberry; three sons, Owen Graham of Alma, Bradley Graham of Lakewood and Martin Graham of San Diego, Calif.; her mother, Camile Michkowski of Llano, Calif.; one sister, Lynn Ortega of Las Vegas; one brother, Paul Michkowski of Llano; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The body was cremated under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 5438, Fort Smith, Ark., 72913, or the Mountainburg Public Library, 1300 Highway 71 NE, Mountainburg, Ark., 72946.

Nora House
Nora House, 85, of Mulberry died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000, in Mulberry. She was the former owner and operator of Hunt's Beauty Shop, member of the Pilot Club for 50 years. She was a member of the UCT, Mulberry First United Methodist Church and various church boards. She was a board member of the Crawford County Fair Association, charter board member of the Northwest Arkansas Regional Library Association and Mulberry Library Board and former member of the board of the Mulberry Bank. She was the widow of T.J. "Tobe" House.
Survivors include one sister, Elva Graham of Lavaca, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held Dec. 30 at First United Methodist Church in Mulberry. Burial was be at New Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were her nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mulberry First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 251, Mulberry Ark., 72947.

Iva Ross
Iva Ross, 93, of Mountainburg died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2000, at her home. She was a member of Gregory Chapel Church of Christ, homemaker and widow of Bryan Ross.
Survivors include three daughters, Naomi Kilpatrick of Yakima, Wash., Alla Mae Hanna of Mountainburg and Sue Foster of Fayetteville; one son, David Ross of Clarksville; one sister, Bonnie Fields of Fayetteville; one sister in law, Redith Hauth of Mountainburg; 16 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Dec. 30 at Ocker Chapel of Alma. Burial was at Cain Cemetery at Mountainburg under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Ross Hanna, Bryan Ross, Zachary Dean, Landon Parker, Joey Harp and Phillip Parker.

Ralph Squires
Ralph Dale Squires, 51, of Van Buren died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000, at a local hospital. He was an Army veterans of the Vietnam War, member of Faith Christian Church and Alma Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 42, 1967 graduate of Alma High School and an employee of MacSteel Co.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah Squires; three daughters, Regina Jones of Natural Dam, Kerry Holt of Van Buren and Veronica Squires of the home; one son, Michael Squires of Alma; his parents, Emerson and Melba Squires of Van Buren; two sisters, Billie Sue Squires of Alma and Kathy E. Morgan of Fort Smith; two brothers, Terry A. Squires of Uniontown and Rodney Squires of Alma; and five grandchildren, Derick and Cody Jones, Tyler Holt and Kristin and Christopher Squires.
Funeral service was held Dec. 29 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren. Burial was at Chastain Cemetery near Mulberry with military honors by Alma VFW Post No. 42. Arrangements were under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Lonnie Wilson, John Howard, Everett Hogan, Carl Nebergall, Ted Stiles, Ed Smith, Jack Young and Don Maxson. Honorary pallbearers were members of Faith Christian Center.
