Marilyn Lacy
Marilyn B. Lacy, 54, of Covington, La., died Saturday, March 9, 2002. She received her bachelor’s degree in home economics at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, La., in 1969 and was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority.
Survivors include her husband, David; a daughter, Jennifer Lacy Ostendorf; her mother, Marie Aaron Bruns; two sisters, Susan B. Quinn and Pam B. Kirby; and a brother, Hank Bruns.
Funeral service was held March 11 at First Baptist Church of Covington, La. Burial was held at Theodore Dendinger Cemetery in Madisonville, La., under the direction of E.J. Fielding Funeral Home of Covington.

Viva Goines
Viva Gertrude Goines, 93, of Alma died Saturday, March 9, 2002, at a local hospital. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church and a lifelong resident of Crawford County. She was preceded in death by her husband, A.G. Houck.
Survivors include a son, Lee Thomas Houck of Tacoma, Wash.; a brother, Oran Ball of Missouri; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held March 12 at Concord Baptist Church. Burial was at Gracelawn Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.
Pallbearers were Daniel Houck, Garrett Houck, Scott Houck, Glenn Houck, Robert Houck and Kevin Linton.
Memorial contributions may be made to Concord Baptist Church, 6105 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR 72956.
Imogene Gant
Imogene Gant, 86, of Van Buren entered into rest Wednesday, March 6, 2002, at a local hospital. She was a homemaker. Edith Imogene Farabough Gant was born on April 17, 1915, in Rogers, the daughter of George and Jessie Alice Farabough. She attended Trinity University in San Antonio and the University of Arkansas. She was a former member of the Eastern Star, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Crawford County Historical Society. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she served for many years with the Bereavement Committee. Her life was devoted to giving of herself to family and those in need.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Beth Harwood of Fort Smith, a son, Paul D. Gant of Van Buren; seven grandchildren, Joe D. Schoolcraft of Owasso, Okla., Jean Schoolcraft Hunt of Greensboro, N.C., Judy Schoolcraft Parsons of Grapevine, Texas, Jim" Schoolcraft of Maumelle, Kyle Harwood of Colorado Springs, Colo., Kristen Harwood Arrington of Allen, Texas, and Kimberly Gant Griffin of Waco, Texas. Also surviving are 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Alice Margaret Schoolcraft, and one son, Zed George Gant. Her loving husband of 65 years, H. Zed Gant, died on Jan. 13.
Funeral service was held March 9 at the First Baptist Church in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren. Pallbearers were Joe D. Schoolcraft, Jim Schoolcraft, Kyle Harwood, Earl Robinson, Mike Hurst, Gene Bell, Butch Love, and Jimmy Riddle.
Honorary pallbearers were the Adult 7 Sunday School class of the Van Buren First Baptist Church.
Martha Frye
Martha Jane Frye, 85, of Bella Vista died Monday, March 4, 2002. She was a secretary for Prudential Insurance Company in Kansas City for 28 years.
Survivors include three nephews, David Frye of Fort Smith, Stephen Frye of Tulsa, Okla., Ron Frye of Baraboo, Wis.; and five great nieces and nephews
Memorial service was held March 8 at Ocker Memorial Chapel under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Extendicare Foundation, 1 Concordia Drive, Bella Vista, AR 72714 for Alzheimer’s Research.
Delores Camyn
Delores Helen Camyn, 68, of Van Buren died Friday, Feb. 22, 2002, at a local nursing home. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Naomi Camyn of Fort Smith and Lori Hurst of Orlando, Fla.; four sons, Mark Camyn of Orlando, Fla., John Camyn of Virginia, Brian Camyn and Kevin Camyn.
The body was cremated under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
