Onial Worthamw
Onial C. Wortham, 71, of Van Buren born Aug. 27, 1930, in Kinta of Claud and Lillian Wortham. He died May 7, 2002, in a local hospital.
Mr. Wortham was employed as a purchasing agent for Norge/Whirlpool and Flanders Industries and as a plant manager for Southern Steel & Wire in Fort Smith. He also was the owner and operator of Wortham and Company Paint Store on Main Street in Van Buren. He retired in 1992 from Vought Aircraft in Grand Prairie, Texas.
Mr. Wortham served in the Army from 1947-1949. He was a member of the Lions Club of Fort Smith. Mr. Wortham marriage Doris Collier of Palestine, Texas in 1951.
He is survived by his wife; his daughter, Diana Peer and son-in-law, Steven of Van Buren; his son, Michael Wortham and daughter-in-law, Beverly of Katy, Texas; his grandchildren, Kathy Peer Ashlock and her husband, Jason of Fayetteville, Debbie Peer of Fayetteville, Aaron Peer of Van Buren, Justin Wortham of Katy, Texas and Ross Wortham of Katy, Texas; his brothers, Orville Wortham of Weatherford, Texas, Omar Wortham of Fort Worth, Texas and Otis Wortham of Springfield, Ohio; his sisters, OraDee Ramsey of Tulsa, Ina Norman of Bedford, Texas and Francille Clement of Duncanville, Okla. Mr. Wortham was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church.
A celebration service was held at Heritage United Methodist Church in Van Buren May 10 with internment at Gracelawn Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers were Aaron Peer, Justin and Ross Wortham, Jason Ashlock, Bob Hollis and Ken Langford.
Memorial contributions may be made to Heritage United Methodist Church in Van Buren.
Paul Wood
Paul Wood, 77, of Fayetteville died Wednesday, May 8, 2002 at a Fayetteville hospital. He was a retired carpenter and a member of Harris Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Joan; two sons, Paul W. Wood and Robert Wood both of Anaheim, Calif.; one step-son, Brian Hemet, Calif., Herbert Wood of Whittier, Otis Wood of Winslow, Earl Wood of Kansas City, Kan., and Truman Wood of St. Louis, Mo.; three sisters, Lorene Adams of Fayetteville, Nettie Briles, of Springfield, Mo., and Alice Alexander of Sullivan, Ind.; three grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services was held May 11 at Beard's Funeral Chapel of Fayetteville. Burial was at Bidville Cemetery.

Wilbur Richardson
Wilbur DeWitt 'Dee' Richardson, of Jerico Springs, Mo., died Tuesday, April 23, 2002. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was one of the five divers for the Army. He was one of the first poultry farmers in Cawford County, worked for J.C. Nickles Construction Company of Kansas City, was a member of the First Christian Church in El Dorado Springs, Mo.
Funeral service was held April 26, at the First Christian Church in El Dorado Springs under the direction of Brumback Mortuary of Stockton, MO. Interment, with full military honors, was held at El Dorado Springs City Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille, of the home; two daughters, Janette Perryman of Van Buren and Annette Jeffries of Tulsa, Okla.; three sons, W. D. Richardson of Van Buren, Donald Richardson of Waldron and Mark Richardson of Jerico Springs, Mo.; stepchildren, Joe Roy D. Kaderly, of the home, Cindy Appel, Karen McGatha, David McGatha, Christine Stewart and Brenda Jeffries; 20 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Todd Mooney, Brian Perryman, Mark Richardson, Roger Stewart, Laddie Tabor, and Roy Kaderly, Jr.
Memorial contributions can be made to Parkinson's Group of the Ozarks, 3924 N. Broadway, Springfield, MO 65803.
Eunice Massey
Eunice Crabtree Massey, 83, of Cedarville died Thursday May 9, 2002, at a local nursing home. She was a member of the Cedarville Assembly of God Church and a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Leonard; two daughters, Linda Sue Mathis of Hackett and Brenda K. Morris of Van Buren; four sisters, Reba Wells of Chester, Wanda Morland of Alma, Alma Tudor of Van Buren and Von Myers of Cedarville; six brothers, Ike Crabtree and Jerry Crabtree, both of Van Buren, Don Crabtreee of Cedarville, Leonard Crabtree of Santa Maria, Calif., Junior Crabtree of Bixby, Okla., and Ezra Crabtree of Fort Smith; three grandchildren, Jonathan Mathis of Lake Village, Julie Ann Carusa of Fort Smith and Dawn Marquina of Anaheim, Calif.; and one great-great grandchild, Noelle Marquina of Anaheim.
Funeral service was held May 13 at Ocker Memorial Chapel. Burial was at U.S. National Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Fuenral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers were her nephews, Keith Crabtree, Bruce Crabtree, Tommy Wells, Jimmy Wells, Teddy Wells and Mike Wells.
David Partain
David Owen Partain, 82, of Van Buren died Tuesday, May 21, 2002, at a local hospital. He was a member of the Van Buren First Presbyterian Church and was a former attorney and circuit judge. He was first elected prosecuting attorney of the 15th Judicial District in January 1947. He was later elected Van Buren city attorney in 1957 and was circuit judge of the 15th and 12th Judicial Districts from 1971 until he retired in 1986. He was admitted to practice law before the Arkansas and Unites States Supreme Court. He was also an Air Force veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the Van Buren Masonic Lodge and the Western Arkansas Consistory. He was past president of the Van Buren Rotary Club and a member of the Arkansas and Crawford County Bar Associations. He was a charter member of the Gracelawn Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Norma; one daughter, Paige Zelikow of Charlottesville, Va.; one granddaughter, Carolyn Zelikow of Charlottesville; and one grandson, Alex Zelikow of Charlottesville.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ocker Memorial Chapel. Burial will be held at Gracelawn Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Wylie Brewer, Paul Gant, Finis Batchelor Jr., Judge Gary Cottrell, Judge Floyd G. Rogers and Mike Medlock.
Honorary pallbearers will be Phil Holder, J.C. Hubbs, Doug Smtih, Charles Ledbetter, Eddie Christian, Bradley Jesson, J.B. Garrison, David Ferguson, Judge John G. Holland, Judge Warren O. Kimbrough, Judge Robert Dawson, N.D. Edwards, Robert L. Jones Jr., Earl Summerhill, Worman Owens and Clyde Hawkins.
