Billy Wayne Ivey, age 45, of Ozark Acres died Jan. 29, 2007, at his residence.
Survivors include: two brothers, Carl "Butch" Ivey of Mountain View, Joe Ivey of Blytheville; three sisters, Donna Mitchem of DeFunia Springs, Fla., Diann Broom of Blytheville and Betty Read of North Vernon, Ind.
Arrangements were under the direction of Heath Oak Hill Chapel of Hardy, Ark.
Carol May Winnett

Carol May Swadley Winnett, daughter of the late William Edward Swadley and Pearl Marie Foster Swadley, was born June 3, 1939, in Gassville, Ark.
She died Jan. 21, 2007, at her home in Myron, Ark., at the age of 67.
She was united in marriage to Cecil Winnett on Jan. 12, 1959, and to this union four children were born. She was of the Church of Christ faith.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Cecil Winnett of the home; two sons, Carl Winnett of Franklin and Jeff Winnett of Decatur, Ala.; one daughter, Dayna Aronoff of Cherokee Village; one brother, Bill Swadley of Mountain Home; three sisters, Ruth Lewis of Myron, Fannie Kasinger of Gassville and Bonnie Reed of Monkey Run, Ark.; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Edgar Winnett.
A graveside funeral service was held Jan. 24 at Burks Chapel cemetery near Glencoe, Ark. Arrangements were under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home of Melbourne, Ark.
Denny Horton

Denny Horton was born Oct. 1, 1915, in Ash Flat, Ark., the son of the late Alton and Crystal Horton. He died Jan. 16, 2007 at Central Washington Hospital.
One of 11 children, he grew up during the Great Depression and left his home for Washington state in 1936. There he met Dorothy James of Monitor; they married
Oct. 4, 1941, at the home of her uncle and aunt, Clarence and Betty James.
He began a career in professional baseball in 1939, where he pitched for the Wenatchee Chiefs. He signed a contract with the New York Yankees and played for various minor league teams until the Detroit Tigers picked up his contract in 1941.
He was drafted into the Army in January 1942, and served in the Phillippines. After an honorable discharge from the military in 1945, he returned to Monitor until 2000, when he and his wife moved to Wenatchee. Horton was an avid golfer, hunter, sports follower and fisherman. He and Dorothy enjoyed traveling in their motorhome after their retirement. Kodiak, Alaska, was one of his favorite destinations. There, he was able to spend time with family and enjoy the abundant fishing opportunities.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his son, James Horton (Merrill); his daughters, Vickie Hester-Willett (Walt) and Nan Missal (Rob); and their children, Scot Horton, Heidi Hester, Seth and Zach Missal and Ben and Kate Horton; also his three great-grandsons, Alec Horton, Dante McConville and Max Gatter; two brothers, Jim Horton and Bill Horton of Ash Flat.
He was preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings.
Funeral services were held at Betts Funeral Home Jan. 22. Graveside services followed at the Cashmere City cemetery in Washington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wenatchee Little League Baseball organization or the charity of one's choice.

Alfia M. Bourne, 86, of Cherokee Village, Ark., formerly of Cleveland, Ohio, died July 26, 2007, at her home. Alfia was born Sept. 24, 1920, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of the late Mauro and Rosario (Sarbello) Miano, both formerly of Italy.
She was an attorney and a member of the Catholic Church.She is survived by: her sister, Concetta Lopez of Cherokee Village; a sister-in-law, Loretta Miano of California; a nephew, Salvator Miano of Hardy; three nieces, Helene Robertson of Cherokee Village, Antoinette Cuccia and Jaqlyn Glass both of California; and several great-nephews; and great-nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Salvator Miano.A memorial service was held July 27 at Tri-County Funeral Home in Highland, Ark., Interment followed in Cleveland, Ohio. Arrangements were under the direction of the Tri-County Funeral Home of Highland.

Bill Cooper Trimble, 68, of Hardy, Ark., died at home Friday, July 27, 2007. He was born March 21, 1939, in Little Rock, Ark., the son of the late Woodrow Cooper and Eldred Marie Trimble of Stuttgart.
Mr. Trimble was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, and retired from the publishing business in Hardy. He also served as Mayor of Hardy.Survivors include: his wife, Brenda; three children, Joseph Cooper Trimble of Fishers, Ind.; Caroline Stone Trimble Schenk of Paragould, Ark., and Christopher Scott Trimble of Slidell, La.; six grandchildren; and one sister, Sandra Kay Naylor of North Little Rock.Arrangements are under the direction of Heath Funeral Home of Highland.Funeral services were held July 31, at Heath Oak Hill Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock, Ark.

He is survived by: his parents, Clayton Cody McEntire and Amber Nicole Norris both of Jonesboro; his grandparents, Lisa and Kalvin Mullins of Jonesboro and Clay and Rajeana McEntire of Ash Flat; his great-grandparents, Paralee McEntire of Ash Flat and Wanda Reans of Horseshoe Bend; and one sister, Autumn McEntire of the family home; and several aunts and uncles.Graveside services were held July 28 at Oaklawn cemetery in Cherokee Village with Bro. Dorothy M. Hoyt, 90, of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, died July 18, 2007, at a Iowa hospital after a brief illness. She was born Dec. 23, 1916, in Lake Geneva, Wis., the daughter of George and May (Stewart) Mathison
She married
Frank Hoyt on June 18, 1938, in Lake Geneva. He preceded her in death on Oct. 1, 2002, in Cherokee Village.She was an avid bridge player and reader and still received the Cherokee Village newspaper. She loved to plant and take care of her flowers. She enjoyed the company of her friends.She was a member of Cherokee Village United Methodist Church in Cherokee Village.Survivors include: her two sons and their wives, Bob and Sue Hoyt of Sioux City, Iowa, and Jim and Judy Hoyt of Tempe, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Wade Hoyt of Tempe, Lisa Hoyt of San Diego, Calif., and Jason Hoyt with the U.S. Air Force serving in Iraq; and 12 nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; her parents; a brother, Stewart; and two sisters, Jean and Alice.The body was cremated. Memorial services will be held at a later date at Cherokee Village United Methodist Church in Cherokee Village, Ark.Arrangements are under the direction of the Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Earl Charles Holland, 91, of Cherokee Village died July 21, 2007, at Walnut Ridge as the result of an automobile accident.
He had lived the past 27 years at Cherokee Village, moving from Des Moines, Iowa.He was retired from Minneapolis Honeywell Corporation. He was an Army World War II veteran and was a member of the Shriners, the Elks, Disabled American Veterans, Masonic Lodge, Family Motor Coach Association, Good Sam RV Owners Club and an American Legion life member.He is survived by: a stepson, Robert DeYoung of Beebe; and a sister, June Isaacson of Boone, Iowa.He was preceded in death by his wife, Opal Holland.The body was cremated and burial will be in Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of the House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge.
