James B. Ryals, Jr.
James B. Ryals, Jr., age 72, of Elkins, died December 19, 2013 at Westwood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Springdale, Arkansas.
He was born December 1, 1941, in Glennville, Georgia, the son of James B. Ryals, Sr. and Nadine Groover Ryals. He was a retired technician for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and had served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He attended First Baptist Church in Elkins and enjoyed playing and coaching all sports and especially enjoyed the local dirt track racing. He was preceded by his parents; one sister: Jeanette Ryals Pope; and one grandchild: Justice Adam Ryals.
Mr. Ryals is survived by his wife, Faye Holladay Ryals, of the home; two sons: Jay Ryals and his wife, Diana, of Elkins and Joseph Ryals and his wife, Sherry, of Springdale; one sister: JoAnn Sills-Smith of Orange City, Florida; and five grandchildren: Brittany Hebner, James B. Ryals, III, Jordan Ryals, Daniel Rivas-Ryals and Brooke-lin Ryals.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 23, 2013, at 12:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church in Elkins with Pastor Rex Griffin officiating under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in McCord cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the church.
Pallbearers will be: Tad Hebner, Jordan Ryals, Daniel Rivas-Ryals, Tony Benson, Jack Shields and Shane Shields.
Honorary pallbearers will be Spc. James B. Ryals, III, U.S. Army and Mark Sills.

Randy Scott Galbraith
Randy Scott Galbraith, age 61, of Springdale, died December 26, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers. He was born December 8, 1952, in Westville, Oklahoma, the son of Vera Kate Lynn.
He was an engineering technician for McClelland Engineering Company for 39 years and had served in the United States Navy. He enjoyed playing the guitar, working in the yard, and shopping for home improvement materials.
Mr. Galbraith is survived by his life long partner, Connie McKibban, of the home; one daughter, Kinsey Galbraith, of Wichita, Kansas; one step-daughter, Jennifer Funmaker of Green Bay, Wisconsin; and two grandchildren: Ava Funmaker and Autumn Funmaker.
Funeral service will be Monday, December 30, 2013, at 10:00 A.M. at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Hassel officiating.
Burial will follow in Benton County Memorial Park.
Visitation is private.

U.S. Veteran - Rick A. Wallis, age 54, of Springdale, Arkansas, died April 23, 2016, in Springdale, Arkansas. He was born April 19, 1962, in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of the late Edward and Joyce Rosenthal Wallis. He was the owner of Wallis Construction Company and was of the Baptist faith. He served in the United States Marine Corp. He loved dirt track racing, building race cars, playing golf, playing foosball, his family and his many friends. He was preceded in death by one brother Bobby Wallis.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Mary Wallis, of the home; his children: Todd Wallis of Carlyle, Illinois, Tawnya Wallis of Hugo, Oklahoma, Trent Wallis of the home and Joyce Wallis of the home; two sisters: Rhonda Wallis of Bean Station, Tennessee and Cheryl Wallis of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas, with Steve Pengle officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Memorial Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
