Thomas Andrew Collins Jr., 81, son of the late Thomas Andrew Collins and Minnie Ann Wore Collins, was born at Agnos, Ark., Aug. 10, 1926. He died May 17, 2008, at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.
He was married
to Elaine Bearden at Agnos on June 29, 1947, and they have four children. He was a member of Salem Masonic Lodge No. 418 for more than 50 years, a member of the church of Christ and served honorably in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include: his wife, Elaine; three sons, Steve, Jim and Les; one daughter, Diann; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Funeral service were held at Agnos Church of Christ May 21 with interment following in the adjacent cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of McNabb Funeral Home of Pocahontas, Ark.

Virginia Cambron, 88, of Cherokee Village, Ark., died May 20, 2008, at White River Medical Center in Batesville, Ark. She was born Oct. 13, 1919, in Joplin, Mo., the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Anna Phillippi Mitchell.
She was a sales associate for Ramsey's Department Store for many years.
She is survived by: a daughter, Anna Kanz of Cherokee Village; two grandchildren, Kimberly Ulmet of Richmond, Va., and Patrick Kanz of Indiana; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be planned at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Higginbotham Funeral Service of Hardy, Ark.

Gregory Olin Leach, 57, of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., son of Ruth M. (Bates) Roten and the late Thomas Robert Leach, was born Sept. 11, 1950, at Battle Creek, Mich. He died May 20, 2008, at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Ark.
He was of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by: his mother and step-father, Ruth and James Roten of Horseshoe Bend; a brother, Dr. Thomas M. Leach and wife, Sara of Kingwood, Texas; nieces, Dr. Erin Clarke and husband, James of Dallas, Texas, and Kathryn Van Zandt of Austin, Texas; and her son, Austin; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Betty Leach; and father, Dr. Thomas R. Leach.
Family memorial services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements were under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem.
Memorials preferred to the Disabled Veterans Association.
