Martha Oakley, 88, died Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at Eaglecrest Nursing and Rehab in Ash Flat, Ark. She is survived by: one daughter, Martha Dinwiddie of Glendora, Calif.; and two sons, Richard Oakley of Barstow, Calif., and Sam Oakley of Hardy, Ark. Frances Pauline Bone, 83, of Batesville, Ark., died May 1, 2008, at her home. She was born June 11, 1924, at Sage, Ark., to Winfield Scott and Cora Pearlie (Crisco) Vickery. She was the retired owner of Pauline's Bible Bookstore in Batesville, a Christian and held devotionals regularly at Wood-Lawn Nursing Home and Intermed Nursing Home in Batesville. She attended the First Freewill Baptist Church in Batesville. Survivors include: her husband, Bernard Bone of the home; one grandson and his wife, Scott and Tina Bone of Batesville; one granddaughter and her husband, Malinda and Jason Lilly of Alexander; three great-granddaughters; one daughter-in-law, Cheryl Bone of Millington, Tenn.; one sister-in-law, Vera Vickery of Salem; one niece; two nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by: her parents; one son, Michael Lee Bone; and one brother, Ishmal Vickery. Funeral services were held May 3 at the Reeves Pine Grove Church located near Guion with Bro. She was a retired school teacher, homemaker and a member of the First Presbyterian Church at Batesville. Survivors include: two grandsons, Vance Medina of Tennessee and Victor Medina of Poplar Bluff; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one niece; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Richard Linebarger; one daughter, Rosalie Medina; and one sister, Maxine Davies. Joel James "J.J." Perkey, 81, of Batesville, Ark., died May 2, 2008, at the White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was born Dec. 5, 1926, at Cave City, Ark., the son of Charlie and Gertie Lassiter Perkey. He was retired from ConAgra Foods of Batesville, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include: his wife of 61 years, Margaret Vest Perkey of the home; one daughter, Wanda Foushee of Belton, Mo.; three brothers, Paul Perkey of Hollis, Okla., Von Perkey of Batesville and Billy Perkey of Salem; five sisters, Clois Ray, Tommie Garlin and Jo England all of Batesville, Glenn Davis of Pleasant Grove and Kay Milligan of Russellville; two grandsons, Robert Foushee of Independence, Mo., and Mike Foushee of Kansas City, Mo.; two great-granddaughters; several nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by: his parents; and one brother, Verl Perkey. Funeral services were held May 5 at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville with Bro. W.T. Leo Trivitt, 89, of Ash Flat, Ark., died May 3, 2008, at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem. He was born Oct. 1, 1918, at Mountain Home, the son of Robert and Cora Lawhorn Trivitt. He was united in marriage to Eoise Campbell on June 13, 1938, at Hardy. He was a life long resident of Fulton County, a self-employed timber worker, a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Marines and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include: his wife, Eloise Trivitt of the home; four sons, Oscar Trivitt and Bobby Trivitt both of Ash Flat, Jerry Trivitt of Hardy, and Billy Trivitt of Batesville; four daughters, Alice Faye Hammock of Liberia, Kan., Dorothy Ferguson of Tumbling Showles, Ark., Judy Hunnicutt of Hardy and Louise Rega of Agnos, Ark.; one brother, J.W. Trivitt of Ash Flat; two sisters, Lovie Ann Denhill and Betty Jo McCallister both of Texas; 21 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. Graveside services were held May 6 at the at the Turkey Pen cemetery located near Hardy with Bro. Floyd Rikard officiating. Arrangements were by the Higinbotham Funeral Service of Hardy.
