Orvil J. Blevins

Orvil Jackson Blevins, 96, of Ozark, brother of Oneida Sexton of Clarksville, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009, in Ozark.

He was a retired truck driver for Long Beach Oil Development Company, lifetime member of the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ in Van Buren, U. S. Navy veteran, native of Muldrow, Okla., son of the late Hiram and Lily Norton Thomas, and was preceded in death by his first wife, Flois M. Blevins.

Other survivors include his wife, Sylvia Peters Blevins; one daughter, Betty Bounds of Sparkman; one son, John Blevins of Ozark; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral was at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with Roger Russell officiating. Burial was in Liberty Hill cemetery at Hunt.

Active pallbearers were David Bounds, Michael Bounds, Phillip Peters, Lee Peters, Jerry Lynch and Josh Bounds.

Honorary pallbearers were Justin Bounds, Delmar Lewis, Earl Shaw, Doug Cannedy and Lonnie Myers.

Beverly Bewley

Beverly Ann Bewley, 34, of Lamar died Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at Fort Smith.

She was born at Ozark, member of Abundant Life In Christ Church, agriculture inspector, and preceded in death by grandfathers, Norman Bachus and Willis Grace.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Bewley; one daughter, Audrey Ann Bewley of the home; parents, Leon and Bonnie Grace Bachus; two sisters, Rebecca Lee Howard and husband, Ben, of Lamar and Melissa R. Bachus of Morrilton; grandparents, Ruth Grace of Lamar and Clara and Earl Blackwell of Clarksville; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 28, at Hedgeway Church with Rev. Don Alexander and Rev. Gary Mitchell officiating.

Burial was in Holman cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Flossie M. Roach

Flossie M. Roach, 73, of Clarksville died Thursday, April 23, 2009, at her home.

She was a native of Paris, daughter of the late Carl and Pauline Keck Baker, widow of James Roach, and was preceded in death by one son, Michael Roach.

Survivors include two daughters, Debra Spoor of Eudora, Kan., and Cindy Trout of Clarksville; two sons, Stephen Roach of Tonganoxia, Kan., and Robert Roach of Clarksville; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral and burial were at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 25, at Nichols Chapel cemetery in Altus with Rev. David Zeiler officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Forrest M. Taylor

Forrest M. Taylor, 81, of Clarksville died Saturday, April 25, 2009, at his home.

He was a native of Clarksville, son of the late Argie J. and Mary Alice Evans Taylor, retired peach and cattle farmer, and Army veteran of the Korean War.

He is survived by one brother, Troy Taylor of Clarksville; two nephews, Mark Taylor and Mike Taylor, both of Clarksville; six great-nephews and great-nieces; and one uncle, Alva Taylor of Clarksville.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Willis officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.

Pallbearers were Jay Potts, Larry Holben, Norman Sexton, Derrick Phillips, Bryan Rogers and Carl Rogers.

Henry G. Hallmark

Funeral for Henry G. Hallmark, 74, of Fort Smith, who died Friday, April 24, 2009, in Fort Smith was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 28, at the First Baptist Church followed by burial at 2 p.m. at Oakland cemetery in Clarksville. Arrangements were under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.

Honorary pallbearers were members of the Tom Bull Sunday School Class.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 1400 Grand Avenue, Fort Smith, AR 72901 or the American Cancer Society, 3291 S. Thompson, Suite D104, Springdale, AR 72764.

He was a retired independent insurance agent, member of First Baptist Church, Tom Bull Sunday School Class, Masons and Order of the Eastern Star, moderator for an internet Bible study forum, veteran of the U. S. Army, former member and Sunday school teacher of Central Presbyterian Church, and was preceded in death by one son, David Henry Hallmark.

Survivors include his wife, Dottie Hallmark; one daughter, Angela Marie Cote of Hyannis, Mass.; one son, Gary Edward Hallmark of Portland, Ore.; and three grandchildren, Gabrielle Cote, Jordan David Hallmark, and Evan Louis Hallmark.

Margaret Ralph

Margaret (Margie) Ralph, 79, of Salinas, Calif., died Saturday, April 18, 2009.

She was a native of Johnson County and member of the Church of the Rock.

Survivors include her husband, Jack Ralph; one son, Danny Ralph of Salinas, Calif.; one daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Leon Connor of Prunedale, Calif.; two sisters, Mildred Tillman of Clarksville and Brenda Hays and husband, Mel, of Dardanelle; six grandchildren, Jason, Jacob and Joseph Connor and Brian, Brittni and Brandon Ralph; two great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services and burial were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 22, at Queen of Heaven cemetery.

Margaret Sullivan

Margaret Ann Farmer Sullivan, 68, of Paris, mother of Hanna Crosley of Clarksville, died Saturday, April 18, 2009, in Fort Smith.

She was a native of Scranton, daughter of the late Atha and Inez Farmer, member of Brewer-Rollans VFW Post 8383 Women's Auxiliary at New Blaine, and preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, James Sullivan.

Survivors include one son, Dar Donnie Sullivan of Ozark; one other daughter, Teresa Grist of Charleston; three sisters, Karen Roulston of New Blaine, Neva Jones of Silsbee, Texas, and Brenda Brown of Paris; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and companion, William Wimberly of Paris.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris with burial at Oak Wood cemetery in Paris.

Active pallbearers were Larry Cauldwell, Kevin and Boyd Farmer, Carl Bradley, Jimmy Wimberly and Bret Sullivan.

Honorary pallbearers were Tim Grigsby, Curtis Campbell, David King, Terry Hice and Terry Gath.

Michael Haulmark

Michael Haulmark, 55, of Russellville, formerly of Clarksville, died Thursday, April 23, 2009, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.

He was a son of the late Charles Wheeler Haulmark, employee of ConAgra Frozen Foods, former employee of International Paper Company, original owner of Mike's Taxi Service, and was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Eugene Haulmark.

Survivors include his mother, Maudie Haulmark Brown of Russellville; three sons and daughters-in-law, Chris M. and Lisa N. Haulmark of Benton, Cory L. and Lisa S. Haulmark of Shreveport, La., Eric D. and Isa Haulmark of Ozark; two sisters, Polly McNeese and husband, George, of Russellville, Peggy Smith of Green Forest; one brother, Jay Haulmark and wife, Lavonda, of Russellville; six grandchildren, Ty, Maci, Toby, Addyson, Zachary, and Takotah; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside service and burial were at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at Pisgah cemetery with Rev. David Harrison officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service.
