Finis Lee Warren

Finis Lee Warren, 75, of Lamar died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.

He was a son of the late William and Neola Crotts Warren, Army veteran, Baptist, Mason, retired and preceded in death by one sister, Marie Warren.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Reynolds Warren; one son, Tony Lee Warren and wife, Lori Ann, of London; two brothers, William Junior Warren and wife, Florence, and Don E. Warren and wife, Kit, all of Lamar; and two grandchildren, Jesse Lee Scott Warren and Bryan Thomas Warren, both of London.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in Lamar cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Gary Warren, Randy Warren, Jarret Warren, Randy Alderson, Doug Reynolds and Matt Reynolds.

Honorary pallbearers were George Overbey and William Bill Turpin.

Genevieve Schabel

Genevieve Edna Marie Schabel, 85, of Knoxville, died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009, at her home.

She was a native of Cavour, Wis., former resident of Laona, Wis., daughter of the late Andrew and Linda E. Haut Miskowicz, widow of Theodore Roosevelt Schabel, member of the Ladies Auxiliary and the Lutheran Church in Laona, Wis., and was preceded in death by one son, James Schabel; two sisters, Lorraine and Helen; and two brothers, Ernie and Harvey.

Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Bernadette Schabell of Jerseyside, Newfoundland, Russell and Lulu Schabell of Knoxville, and Andrew Schabel and fiancée, Linda McCurley, both of Knoxville; one daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Donald Schmidt of Russellville; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Al and Pearl Miskowicz of Delafield, Wis., and John Miskowicz of Caledonia, Wis.; one sister and brother-in-law, Dolly and Tony Portz of Mattoon, Wis.; 17 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Private burial will be in Laona cemetery in Laona, Wis.

Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

Jack D. Martin

Jack (Jackie) Darrell Martin, 59, of Fort Smith, Arkansas entered into his final rest on October 24, 2009, in his home.

He was born on March 10, 1950, in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Bernard Martin and the late Hazel Martin.

He was the proud husband of Totton Zarwell-Martin of Fort Smith, AR; father of Barry Ronaldes married to Amanda Ronaldes of Fort Worth, Texas; grandfather of Elora and Nicolette Ronaldes of Fort Worth, Texas; son-in-law to Lillian Zarwell of Fort Smith, AR; brother to Geraldine Falleur of Muldrow, OK, Bill Martin of Greenwood, AR, Susan Gilstrap of Fort Smith, AR, Jonathon Martin of Barling, AR, the late Buddy Martin of Muldrow, OK, and the late Larry Martin of Spiro, OK; and the uncle of numerous nieces and nephews.

Jackie was a member of the Local Union #29. Jackie will be remembered as the life of all occasions, dearly loved by friends and family, contagious laughter and was of the Baptist faith.

Funeral services were on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville, AR, under the direction of Rev. Richard Gilstrap and Rev. Ron Williamson with a final resting being at Oakland cemetery in Clarksville, AR.

Active pallbearers were Barry Ronaldes, Bill Martin, Jonathon Martin, Joe Falleur, Mark Falleur, Brunchel Gilstrap and Ronnie Casanova.

Honorary pallbearers were members of Local Union #29.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to be given to Peach Tree Hospice, 4300 Rogers Avenue, Fort Smith, AR 72903.

Visitation was from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct.27.

Leo Rofkahr

Leo Rofkahr, 88, died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, in Sikeston, Mo.

He was a native of Clarksville, son of the late Conrad and Hester Rofkahr, served in the Army during World War II, recipient of medals from the country of France and the state of Missouri for service to his country, former employee of the city of Sikeston Street Department for 28 years, and was preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda Rofkahr; second wife, Bertha Rofkahr; three sisters, Lucille Rofkahr, Ilene Rofkahr and Reba Stenzel; and one brother, Troy Rofkahr.

Survivors include three sons, Larry Rofkahr of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Ronnie Rofkahr of Sikeston, Mo., and Eddie Rofkahr of Essex, Mo.; one daughter, Donna Rofkahr of Sikeston, Mo.; one sister, Emalene England of Clarksville; one brother, J. C. Rofkahr of Collinsville, Okla.; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral was Tuesday, Oct. 20, under the direction of Ponder Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Bobby Graham, Charles Mulcahy, Gary Rofkahr, Steve Hays, Dennis Hinkle, and Harold Head.

Leona Landthrip

Leona Mae Herring Landthrip, 94, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.

She was a native of Clarksville, daughter of the late Vannie Isaac and Sophia Brigham Herring, widow of Taylor Alfred Landthrip, member of the Church of Christ in Clarksville, counselor at Green Valley Bible Camp, president of the Extension homemakers club, leader in 4-H clubs, Ludwig peach grower, and was preceded in death by one sister, Robbie Esch of Dardanelle.

She is survived by four children, Taylor Alfred Landthrip and William Mack Landthrip, both of Fort Smith, Anna Fay Marvel of Wylie, Texas, and Connie Sue Atha of Sherwood; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26, at the Clarksville Church of Christ with John Ballard and Todd Rabalais officiating.

Burial was in Mt. Airy cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were grandsons, Bobby Marvel, Scott Marvel, Tommy Marvel, Taylor Landthrip Jr., Eugene Atha Jr., William Mack Landthrip Jr., and Greg Landthrip.

Margaret Ann Graham

Margaret Ann DeCatur Graham, 52, of Dardanelle, whose sister and brother-in-law, Dee and Eddie King, reside in Clarksville, died Friday, Oct. 23, 2009.

She was a daughter of the late Daniel and Reba Fowler Guarino.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Mark Haney and Trisha and Robert Clark, all of Dardanelle; four grandchildren, Garrett and Madison Haney, Jayden Sisk and Isabella Clark, all of Dardanelle; two other sisters, Patty Guarino of Dardanelle and Becky Tucker and husband, Alan; one brother, Tony Guarino and wife, Tammy, of Russellville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, at Cornwell Funeral Home Chapel in Dardanelle with Pastor Tony Sparks officiating. Burial will be in Brearley cemetery at Dardanelle.

Pallbearers will be Mark Haney, Robert Clark, Michael Levels, Bryan Barnett, Jeremy Guarino, and Eddie King.

Marie King Nimmo

Marie King Nimmo, 90, of Pasadena, Calif., sister-in-law of Billie King of Clarksville, died Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009, at The Terraces assisted living facility.

A native of the Harmony community, she was the daughter of Walter and Eva King, and in her youth attended Harmony Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Harmony Symphony Orchestra. She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Pasadena, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Louie Elmo Nimmo, and her brother, Burley King.

She is survived by one daughter, Debra Nimmo Weisberg and husband Steve of Pasadena, Calif.; two grandsons, Brett Weisberg and wife Summer of Altadena, Calif., and Scott Weisberg of Pasadena, Calif.; one granddaughter, Kaitlyn Weisberg of Los Angeles, Calif.; three great-grandchildren, Mason, Christian and Raine Weisberg; and two nephews, Burnett King of Clarksville and Bob King of Van Buren.

A viewing was held Wednesday, Oct. 21, at Pierce Brother Turner & Stevens Mortuary in San Gabriel, Calif. A graveside service was held Thursday, Oct. 22, at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, Calif.
