Lois Grace McMinn
Lois Ellen Grace McMinn, 75, of Dover died Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at her home.
She was a native of the Holman community, daughter of the late Thomas Wadie and Vera Smith Grace, widow of Omer Dean McMinn, and was preceded in death by one sister, Linnie Louise Grace Riddell; one brother, Willis Grace; and one great-granddaughter, Ashley Renee.
She is survived by one daughter, Peggy Lynnette Bird and husband, Ricky, of Dover; two sons, Karl Dean McMinn and Danny Wayne McMinn and wife, Tammy, all of Dover; one sister, Lola Parsons and husband, Tommy, of Lamar; one brother, T.R. Grace and wife, Nell, of Clarksville; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, at Holman Freewill Baptist Church with Terry Rudder officiating.
Burial was in Holman cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Lloyd Schembra, David Morris, Tommy Coble, Ronnie Ivy, Ian Bowes, and Tim Wilson.
Honorary pallbearers were Roger Morris, Troy Morris, and Ricky Bird.
Stella Rae McMillan
Stella Rae McMillan, 61, of Springdale died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010, in Springdale.
She was born in Springdale the daughter of Raymond Andrew and Anita Littrell Parson, member of the Springdale Adventist Fellowship and the DAV, and was preceded in death by an infant son, Steven Allen Qualls.
Survivors include two sons, Mike Qualls and wife, Rochelle, and David Qualls and wife, Teresa, all of Clarksville; two daughters, Leanne Price and husband, Kelly, of West Fork and Kitty Bann and husband, James, of Farmington; one sister, Carol Landelius of West Fork; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at Beard’s Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gary Ford officiating. Burial was in Mount Comfort cemetery.
Charlcie L. Johnson
Charlcie Loretta Johnson died December 15, 2010, in Palm Coast, Florida.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Springdale, Arkansas on October 24, 1929, just as the "Black Monday" stock market crash heralded the Great Depression. While her beginnings could hardly have been more humble, Mrs. Johnson lived a life that was rich with love and a family who adored her.
Mrs. Johnson was a beautician by trade, including in Clarksville, Arkansas, where her "Beauty Spot" shop buzzed with her signature energy and style. A genuine social butterfly, Mrs. Johnson loved entertaining and feeding company, dancing with her grandkids, traveling (particularly by boat or cruise ship), playing bridge with her friends and cut-throat canasta with her family and, always, she loved the Lord and singing hymns on Sundays at her church. She was a gifted laugher and storyteller and her family and legion of friends are comforted knowing that heaven has such a bright angel now.
She is survived by her three daughters, Sheila Vincent, Debra Brogan, and Brenda Wilson; three sisters, Velma Byrd, Jean Plummer and Donna Hartzler; a son-in-law, John Vincent; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one very sad puppy dog.
A memorial service to celebrate her life was held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 18, at Palm Coast United Methodist Church, 5200 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast, Florida. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 20, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville, Arkansas with Rev. Tammy Teltow officiating. Burial was at Oakland cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Vincent, Jason Vincent, Joel Vincent, Courtney Wilson, Meagan Wilson, Eric Buzzard, Kelley Parker, and Lindsey Wilson.
Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Sunday.
Dennis F. Casbon
Dennis F. Casbon, 68, of Knoxville, a native of Valparaiso, Ind., died Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, at UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Casbon; one daughter, April Drake of Indiana; two stepsons, Donald Galvan of Knoxville and Danny Galvan Jr. of Hartman; two sisters, Marge Birky of Indiana and Charlotte Gregory of Colorado; one brother, Charles Casbon of Horseshoe Bend; and three grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George York officiating. Burial was in Hartman cemetery.
Pallbearers were Randy Alderson, Tess Hern, Josh Hern, Timmie Hern, Lonnie Wilson and Ernest Hern.
John M. Turner
John Mansfield Turner, 75, of Oark died Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, at his home.
He was a native of Franklin County, son of the late Elias Stonewall and Maggie May Madewell Turner, retired machinist, Army veteran, and a Christian.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Wallace Turner; three sons, Michael Turner and Jayce Turner, both of Oark, and Jimmy Turner of Fayetteville; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are pending at this time at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Leonard Ray Sanders
Leonard Ray Sanders Sr., 85, of Morrilton, formerly of Knoxville, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010.
He was a native of Orway, Ohio, son of the late Delbert W. and Lettie Jonson Sanders, and member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Marceline Sanders; seven sons, Leonard Ray Sanders Jr. and Mark Sanders, both of Clarksville, Mike Sanders and David Sanders, both of Lamar, Roger Sanders of Altus, and Steven Sanders and Robert Sanders, both of Morrilton; one daughter, Sheryl Varga of Grants Pass, Ore.; one sister, Mary Crabtree of Idaho; 28 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, at the Bob Neal and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Morrilton with Rev. Robbie Jackson officiating. Graveside services and burial followed at 1 p.m. at the Knoxville cemetery.
Shelby Dean Shook
Shelby Dean Shook, 67, of Clarksville died Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010, at his home.
He was a native of Dillon, son of the late Marion Frank and Mary Will Wheeler Shook, member of the East Mount Zion Trinity Baptist Church, and letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service.
Survivors include his wife, Lynda Shook; one daughter, Shelley Delynna Sosebee and husband, Steven Earl, of Clarksville; two sons, Shannon Dean Shook and wife, Tammi, and Daniel Isaak Shook and wife, Kimberlee, all of Clarksville; four brothers, George W. Shook of El Paso, Texas, and Roy Z. Shook, Burley G. Shook, and Larry F. Shook, all of Clarksville; and seven grandchildren, Dylan Rusk, Kendon Shook, Thayne Shook, Garrett Shook, Morgan Shook, Cayden Sosebee and Claire Sosebee.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, at East Mount Zion Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Robbie Jackson officiating.
Cremation arrangements were by Roller-Cox Funeral Home with burial at Fort Douglas cemetery.
The deacons of the East Mount Zion Trinity Baptist Church served as honorary pallbearers.

Thomas J. Morgan
Thomas Junior Morgan, 63, of Coal Hill died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired Tyson Foods employee, son of the late Hanford Thomas (Bo) and Louise Marie Fultz Morgan, and was preceded in death by two brothers, Don Morgan and Lloyd Morgan; and one sister, Betty Hutchins.
Survivors include his wife, Latricia Ann Griffith Morgan; one daughter, Melissa Ann Morgan Parker of Coal Hill; one son, Thomas Kevin (Buddy) Morgan of Coal Hill; four sisters, Gladys Pellham and husband, John, of Hartman, Debbie Marvel and husband, Tony, and Kathy King and husband, Jamie, all of Clarksville; and Sue Morgan of Coal Hill; three brothers, Billy Morgan and wife, Ruby, Gary Morgan and wife, Mary, and Jerry Morgan and wife, Jennifer, all of Coal Hill; and three grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial will be in Hartman cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Payne, Cecil Jones, Jess Campbell, Dave Kremer, Richard Mayes, and Jeret Morgan.
