Shirley Jean Schober
Shirley Jean McDonald Schober, 71, of Barling, formerly of Lamar, died Friday, Jan. 22, 2010, at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith.
A native of Etowah, she was a daughter of the late Nomer and Bertha Hivley McDonald, retired, member of First Methodist Church of Barling, and was preceded in death by four sisters, Marie Jones, Frances McCallum, June Hall, and Nina Tadlock; and two brothers, Odell McDonald and Cleason McDonald.
She is survived by one daughter, Rhonda Jean Stacks of Norfork; two sons, Randy Delano Roddy of Lavaca and Phillip Wayne Roddy of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Olean Curtright of Osceola; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25, at Brockwell Tabernacle with Rev. Rick Burke officiating.
Burial was at Violet Hill cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Patricia Darlene Harvey Webb
August 27, 1944 – January 23, 2010
Patricia “Pat” Harvey Webb, 65, passed away on January 23, 2010, at the San Ramon Regional Medical Center in San Ramon, California, surrounded by both family and friends.
Patricia was born August 27, 1944, at home, in the Woodland Community, Johnson County, Arkansas, to St. Elmo and Norma Frances Hudson Harvey.
Patricia graduated from Clarksville High School in 1962 and from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, in 1966, with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing. Upon graduating from College, Patricia was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army Nurse Corps. She served her first year at Fort Ord, California and finished with the 121st Evacuation Hospital in South Korea, leaving the service at the rank of Captain.
Patricia received her Master’s Degree from University of California at San Francisco in 1979 and her Doctorate in Education from the University of San Francisco in 1996.
Patricia worked at the Post Hospitals at Fort Ord, California, and Fort Polk, Louisiana, before moving to California in 1973. Patricia worked for a period of time at the Pittsburg Community Hospital, in Pittsburg, and the Mt. Diablo Hospital in Concord, before receiving a teaching position at Samuel Merritt College of Nursing in Oakland in 1983. Now called Samuel Merritt University, Patricia taught critical care nursing at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
Patricia is survived by her three sons, Scott, 31, and his wife Julia, of Santa Barbara, California; Matthew, 27, his wife Michelle, and their son Michael Monroe, of Fort Belvoir, Virginia; David, 27, and his wife Nicole, of Pasadena, California; two sisters: Pauline Harvey Padgett and Shirley Ann Harvey Hicks, of Hot Springs, Arkansas; four brothers: John Leon Harvey, K. P. and his wife Geneva Harvey, Howard Elwin Harvey, and Harold Wayne Harvey; Patricia is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
Patricia was a friend, counselor and confidante to many, but above all she was a beautiful person, a loving mother, and a kind sister. Besides her love for teaching at the University of Samuel Merritt, Patricia’s other passions included passing her days reading at home, taking care of her yard, and fussing over her three grown children. Patricia also loved spending as much time as possible with her grandson Michael, receiving pictures and videos of him and updates on the milestones he had achieved.
The family will be holding a Memorial Service at 4:00 PM on Thursday, January 28th, at the First Baptist Church in Benicia, immediately followed by a reception. Memorial contributions will be directed towards a Scholarship fund in Patricia’s honor to be awarded to a qualified clinical student at Samuel Merritt College.Services in Arkansas will be held on Tuesday, February 2nd, at 10:00, a.m., at the Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel followed by burial in the family plot at Shady Grove cemetery, Clarksville, Johnson County, Arkansas. Reception to follow after services.
Irvin Martin Ceniceros
Irvin Martin Ceniceros, 21, of Knoxville died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010, in Afghanistan.
He was a native of Tampa, Fla., and was serving with the United States Marine Corps.
Survivors include his parents, Ignacio Ceniceros and Maria A. Armendaniz of Knoxville; one sister, Karla Vanessa Ceniceros of Knoxville; and two brothers, Ivan Ceniceros and Abraham Ceniceros, both of New Mexico.
Funeral mass will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father William Wewers officiating. Burial will be in Mexico. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Tyler Alan Davenport
Tyler Alan Davenport, 16, of Clarksville died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010, at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock.
He was a native of Russellville, student at Lamar High School, and was preceded in death by his grandfather, Arthur Davenport; great-grandfathers, Bill Cremer, Omer Williams, and Jack Barmore; and great-grandmother, Meryle Barmore.
Survivors include his parents, Mark and Tina Barmore Davenport of Clarksville; one brother, Hunter Davenport of Clarksville; grandparents, Pat and Tim Greeno, Randy and Edith Barmore, and Debbie Davenport; great-grandparents, Velma Williams and Marie Cremer; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 15, at Cabin Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Blair and Richard Rogers officiating.
Burial was in Hartman cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Robert Ham, Mike Bean, Ty Price, Jason Patterson, Kyle Helms, Damon Redmon, Robert Thompson, and Jeff Haas.
Honorary pallbearers were Lamar Senior High School Warriors football players and coaches and Clarksville Senior High School Panthers football players and coaches.

Billy Ray Partain
Billy Ray Partain, 70, of Russellville died Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010, at his home.
He was born in Scottsville, the son of the late Julus and Betty Wells Partain, retired sawmill employee, and was preceded in death by his wife, Henrietta Partain; and an infant brother, Bobby Joe Partain.
Survivors are two daughters, Karen Farmer and Kimberly Partain of Lamar; two grandchildren, Krystal Farmer and Cody Partain of Lamar; one sister, Anna Sue Hubbard of Pelsor; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, at Lemley Funeral Service Chapel in Atkins with Rev. Robert Norman officiating. Burial will be in Atkins City cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Fillian, Gene Fillian, Mike Farmer, Mike Bean, James Hull, and James Keeling.
Euna Mae Hughes
Euna Mae Hughes, 90, of Russellville, sister of Christine Howard of Clarksville, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010, at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.
She was a native of London, daughter of Roy and Annis Bishop Rye, widow of John Thomas Hughes, and a member of First Baptist Church of Lamar.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Cary and Barbara Hughes of Westfield, Vt.; one grandson, Timothy Hughes of Nashville, Tenn.; and one other sister, Marilyn Cagle of London.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct, 18, at the Lamar cemetery with Rev. Jerry Schlinker officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

Grace B. Trantham
Grace Bernice Trantham, 91, died Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010, at Garrett Manor Retirement Community in Hot Springs.
A native of Clarksville, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Martha Hamilton, former resident of Oklahoma City, Okla., where she was employed at the Biltmore Hotel and later retired from the Oklahoma City Parks and Recreation after 18 years of service, mainly at Woodson Park where she held numerous positions, including park director. She was a member of the National Campers and Hikers Association, Roadrunner RV Club and also a member of Pleasant Valley, Dumas Avenue, and Rancho Village Baptist churches in Oklahoma City, Okla., before moving to Federal Way, Wash., and then to Hot Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Chester Boyce Trantham; one son, Donald Boyce Trantham; infant daughter, Beverly Diane Trantham; one brother, Tom Hamilton; and one sister, Evelyn Humphrey.
Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Cynthia Ferrill Trantham of Hot Springs; one brother, Louie Joe Hamilton and wife, Paula, of Clarksville; five grandsons, Matt and wife, Kristen, of Fayetteville, Andy and wife, Tammy, of Hot Springs, Clay and wife, Holly, of Fort Worth, Texas, Dan and wife, Tonya, of Fort Smith, and Ben and wife, Stephanie, of Norman, Okla.; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Fala Hamilton and Helen Holloway; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, at the Advantage South Chapel with burial following at Sunny Lane cemetery in Oklahoma City, Okla.
