Herbert R. Collier

Herbert Rady Collier, 91, of Fayetteville died Monday, Feb. 22, 2010, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville.

He was a native of Hunter, son of the late George and Ollie Coleman Collier, heavy duty mechanic, served in World War II in the South Pacific, longtime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8532 in Coal Hill and the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 62 in Clarksville, member of Second Baptist Church in Clarksville, and was preceded in death by one daughter, Carla; one stepdaughter, Rita Megee; four brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Lena Collier; one daughter, Shirley Orsinoe of Labelle, Fla.; two sons, Shon Collier of Shirley and Mark and wife, Shanon, of Lehigh Acres, Fla.; two stepsons, Pete Dunham and wife, Ruth Ann, of Arlington, Texas, and Jerry Dunham and wife, Wilda, of Fayetteville; one stepdaughter, Virginia Beavers of Whitehall, Mont.; one stepson-in-law, Bill Megee of Crosses; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; six step grandchildren; 13 step-great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home followed by burial at 2 p.m. at the National cemetery in Fayetteville.

Memorials may be made to Second Baptist Church Mission Fund in Clarksville or First Baptist Church Mission Fund in Elkins.

Jocelyn Riddle

Jocelyn Kay Riddle, 70, of Lamar died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, at Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Russellville.

She was a daughter of the late George Miles Jones Sr. and Garnett “Maggie” Jones and was preceded in death by one niece, Laney Morriss.

Survivors include her husband, Charles E. Riddle; four sons and two daughters and their spouses, Ken and Sherri Fredrick of Florida, Tim and Kathleen Riddle of Kentucky, Lisa D’Ann and Todd Briggs of Barling, Clay Riddle of Pennsylvania, Lori Ann Riddle of Mississippi, and William “Chip” and Kim Riddle of Lamar; two brothers and one sister, Jan Morriss of Fayetteville, George and Donna Jones of Japan and Roger and Dottie “Ellie” Jones of Pottsville; 13 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.

Arrangements were by Larry G. Acklin Funeral Home of Morrilton.

Neomia Louise Wise

Neomia Louise Wise, 77, of Clarksville died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, at Clarksville Health and Rehab.

She was a native of Clarksville, daughter of the late Truman and Aggie Lantz Owens, widow of Lindell Wise, member of Jamestown Assembly of God Church, graduate of Clarksville High School, a registered nurse having been employed at Johnson County Hospital, Countryside Manor Nursing Home, Clarksville Convalescent Home, and Jefferson County Hospital in Pine Bluff, and was preceded in death by one brother, Tommy Owens.

She is survived by one daughter, Deborah Camper of Garfield; one son, John Thomas Camper Jr. of Rogers; two sisters-in-law, Glenda Owens and Linda Owens, both of Clarksville; one sister, Wanda Scholtes and husband, Robert, of Clarksville; three brothers, Truman Owens and wife, Earla, of Russellville, James Owens and wife, Dorothy, of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Carl Owens and wife, Patty, of Berryville; three grandchildren, Adam Clemons of Korea, Sgt. Victor Clemons of Okinawa, and Jana Johnson of Harrison; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leo Villines and Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.

Pallbearers were Chad Johnson, C.J. Owens, Steve Owens, Jimmy Owens, Jack Heil, and Frank Sampley.

Ralph V. Badger

Ralph V. Badger, 91, of Clarksville died Friday, Feb. 26, 2010, at Clarksville Health and Rehab.

He was a native of New Florence, Mo., son of the late Erritt and Iverna Fowler Badger, retired from the United States Air Force, veteran of World War II and Korean War, attended United Pentecostal Church, and was preceded in death by one brother, Leonard Badger; and one sister, Dorthy Badger.

He is survived by one nephew, Jimmy Badger of Edenton, N.C.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 2, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Vernon Long and Rev. Michael Minniear officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.

Pallbearers were Terry Sanderson, Kevin Walton, Rodney Long, Jimmy Hutchins, Jack Sanderson, and Bobby Richardson.

Ruth Crotts Fisher

Ruth Crotts Fisher, 82, died Monday, March 1, 2010, in Vancouver, Wash.

She was a native of the Ross Community in Pope County, former resident of Lamar, daughter of the late James Frank and Esta Terry Crotts, attended Lamar High School, former resident of California, and was preceded in death by four sisters, Catherine Ralph, Nada Kelly, Helen Rainey, and an infant, Hazel Ann Crotts.

Survivors include her husband, Arthur Lloyd Fisher; three daughters, Deborah Morrison, Barbara Goll, and Paula Daredji; one sister, Sue Denny; one uncle, Leslie Crotts; several grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral arrangements are pending.

Victor W. Fulton Sr.

Victor Wayne Fulton Sr., 65, of Knoxville died Monday, Feb. 22, 2010, at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith.

He was a retired mechanic, son of the late Perry Fulton Sr. and Merle Remley Fulton, and a native of Evansville, Ind.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Patricia Fulton; one daughter, Diane Dilks of Knoxville; three sons, Victor Fulton Jr. and wife, Jeni, of Chicago, Ill., Wayne Birge and wife, Amy, of Bryant, and Barrett Fulton of Los Angeles, Calif.; and four grandchildren, Allen and Heather Dilks of Knoxville and Madelyne and Nathan Birge of Bryant.

A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Charletta Ann Baumann

Charletta Ann Baumann, 57, of Springdale, formerly of Clarksville, died Monday, March 1, 2010, at Earlene Howard Hospice Center in Springdale.

She was a native of Mulberry, graduate of Oark High School, co-owner of Alpha Aviation in Springdale, and was preceded in death by her father, Charles Dickerson.

Survivors include her husband, Randy Baumann; one son, Jason Baumann of Clarksville; mother, Mollie Dickerson of Clarksville; two sisters, Rhonda Boen and husband, Rodger, of Fallsville and Tammy Pledger and husband, Charlie, of Clarksville; one brother, Gary Dickerson and wife, Cheryl, of Clarksville; and two grandchildren, Cheyenne Baumann and Austin Baumann.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 4, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Jackson cemetery at Grenade Chapel.

Ann Brown

Ann Brown, 90, of Russellville, formerly of Clarksville, died Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at her home.

A native of Hunt, she was a daughter of the late Estes and Mary Middlebrook Hanshew, widow of Troy E. Brown, Baptist, and was preceded in death by three sisters, Maxine Meyer, Sadie Burton, and Attis Hanshew; and one brother, Hoyt Hanshew.

Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Brown of Russellville; one son, Steve Brown and wife, Sherrie, of Russellville; two grandchildren, Chris Brown and Troy Brown, both of Russellville; and seven great-grandchildren, Jenna, Willis, Piperann, Kristyn, Maddox, Jocelyn, and Hayden Brown, all of Russellville.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 10, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Earl Stapleton officiating. Burial was in Liberty Hill cemetery at Hunt.

Pallbearers were Mike Hanshew, David Hanshew, Don Lawson, John Blevins, Shane Cowan, and Bill Satzler.

Esther Faye Cornish

Esther Faye Eckley Cornish, 97, of Clarksville died Sunday, July 11, 2010, at her home.

She was a native of Nebraska, Seventh Day Adventist, daughter of the late John Sidney and Ellen J. Stork Eckley, widow of Lyle Ladoyt Cornish, and preceded in death by one son, Lee Cornish; and three grandchildren.

She is survived by four daughters, Phylis Malvaney and Elizabeth Pitts, both of Clarksville, Nancy Holland of Pullman, Wash., and Carlene Ames of Tulelake, Calif.; three sons, Norman Cornish of Charleston, W.Va., Roger Cornish of Nampa, Idaho, and Charles Cornish of Kamiah, Idaho; 25 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 17, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Ross Sawyer officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be Norman Cornish, Roger Cornish, and Charles Cornish.

The body was cremated.
