David Lee Flurry
David Lee Flurry, 44, of Bonanza, whose father and stepmother, Daniel and Delores Flurry, reside in Clarksville, died Friday, March 6, 2009, at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith.
He was a native of Wichita, Kan.
Other survivors include one son, Terrell Flurry of Cameron; mother, Betty Flurry of Bonanza; and four sisters, Sonja Taylor and Angie Flurry, both of Bonanza, Laura Perkins of Section, Fla., and Becky Randall of Muskogee, Okla.
Funeral was at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, at Bonanza Assembly of God Church with burial at Old Union cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers were Bobby and Steve Flurry, Drake Lane, Derek McFarland, Jerry Parsons, Eddie McCutchens, Brian Crump and Jimmy Boster.
Faith E. Tate
Faith E. Tate, 68, of Ozone died Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Hutchinson, Kan., daughter of the late Charles and Dolly Baylock, and was preceded in death by one son, Timmy Tate.
Survivors include her husband, Doy L. Tate; two sons, Richard Tate and Todd Tate, both of Ozone; one sister, Barbara Avery of Oxnard, Calif.; one brother, Paul McKensey of San Diego, Calif.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dolly and Herb Vaile of Ozone.
The body was cremated.
Local arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Gerald A. Pentzer
Gerald A. Pentzer, 84, of Clarksville died Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a native of Chanute, Kan., son of the late Herbert and Georgia Fay Williamson Pentzer, graduate of Ponca City (Oklahoma) High School, received a bachelor's degree in aeronautical engineering, served in U. S. Air Force 20 years during World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War as a pilot, fighter, bomber and forward air controller, recipient of the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, and the Distinguished Flying Cross from missions over North Vietnam, member of Hawg Country Corvette Club, and was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Marybell Pentzer, and one daughter, Linda Loell.
He is survived by two sons, Jerry Pentzer of Ozark and Larry Pentzer of Hudson, Fla.; two sisters, Alice Auterson of Clarksville and Aeileen (Sug) Speer of Vian, Okla.; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Friday, March 13, at Liberty Hill cemetery with Rev. Brad Scott officiating. Military funeral honors were by the Little Rock Air Force Honor Guard. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Jimmy Eugene Clayborn
Jimmy Eugene Clayborn, 46, of Longview, Texas, formerly of Lamar, died at his home Thursday, March 12, 2009.
He was a truck driver, son of the late Jimmy and Barbara Clayborn of Lamar, and preceded in death by one brother, Larry Keys of Cedarville.
Among the survivors are three sisters, Patricia Lofgren of Kilgore, Texas, Donna Underwood and husband, Ray, of Longview, Texas, and Jeanie Rives and husband, Junior, of Oark; nieces and nephews, Stephanie Morse and Jeremy Keys of Cedarville, Chatty Easley of Kilgore, Texas, Billy Clayborn of Harleton, Texas, and Jimmy Rives of Oark; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Private memorial services were held Sunday, March 15, at the home of a niece in Kilgore, Texas, with Chaplain Jay McCasland officiating.
Nina Louise Byrne
Nina Louise Ranne Byrne, 99, of Savoy, Texas, whose daughter and son-in-law, Patsy and Eugene Westbrook, reside in Clarksville, died Sunday, March 8, 2009, at Mullican Care Center.
She was a daughter of the late Carrie and Joe Ranne, native of Nolandville, Texas, graduate of Gunter Bible College, retired school teacher having received a teacher's certificate from Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas, member of the Church of Christ, and was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Paul Byrne; one sister, Odessa Harville of Whitesboro, Texas; and two brothers, Joe Ranne of Ruidoso, N. M., and James Ranne of Llano, Texas.
Other survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Doris Byrne of Savoy, Texas; two sisters, Inda Young of Whitesboro, Texas, and Jocille Tipton of Huntsville, Ala.; two brothers, Roger Ranne of Albuquerque, N. M., and Larry Ranne of San Diego, Calif.; eight grandchildren, Kris Westbrook and Kit Westbrook, both of Clarksville, Regan Westbrook of Fort Smith, Lisa Adair and Ed Westbrook, both of Ignacio, Colo., Lana Siemens of Chestnut Mound, Tenn.; Melanie Gaddy of Savoy, Texas, and Cheryl Byrne of Sherman, Texas; 21 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service was held Wednesday, March 11, at Mullican-Little Funeral Chapel in Savoy, Texas, with Keith Avaritt of Clarksville and John Gaddy of Savoy, Texas, officiating. Burial was at Dixie cemetery in Whitesboro, Texas.
Pallbearers were Kit Westbrook, Kris Westbrook, Isaac Westbrook, Blaine Westbrook, Kevin Gaddy and David Gaddy.
Hazel B. Molinaro
Hazel Beatrice (Bea) Brown Molinaro, 85, of Knoxville died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009, at her home.
She was a native of Knoxville, daughter of the late Vern R. and Hester Brown, widow of Sam Molinaro, lifetime member of the Johnson Regional Medical Center Auxiliary, where she volunteered for 25, 000-plus hours, member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and later First United Methodist Church, and was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Davis.
Survivors include one daughter, Midge (Frank) Heurich of Lake Forest, Ill.; two sons, Michael (Jan) Molinaro of Evanston, Ill., and Larry (Diann) Molinaro of Knoxville; six grandchildren, Rebecca (Raj Date) Rohr of New York, David Rohr of Highland Park, Ill., James Rohr of Miami, Fla., Robert Rohr of Baltimore, Md., Sara Molinaro of New York, and Peter Molinaro of Evanston, Ill.; one brother, Selby Brown of Knoxville; and one sister, Verna Kness of Poland, Ohio.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Hanshaw officiating. Burial was in Knoxville cemetery.
Pallbearers were Randy Struckmeyer, Kyle Struckmeyer, Kris Struckmeyer, Andy Brown, David Rohr, James Rohr, Robert Rohr, and Peter Molinaro.

Joe Marler
Joe Marler, 75, of Simi Valley, Calif., died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009.
He was a native of Clarksville, graduate of Clarksville High School, 1959 graduate of the University of the Ozarks and later earned a master’s degree in management science, served nine years in the National Guard, retired employee of Rockwell International after 29 years of service and 45-year member of Simi Valley Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder and on the building committee, and twice chaired the pastor calling committee.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Joyce Marie Wilson Marler; three children, Steve and wife, Teresa, Debbie and husband, Paul, and Brian and wife, Angela; and six grandchildren, Zachary, Mackenzie, Olivia, Michael, Luke and Noah.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, at Simi Valley Presbyterian Church.

Roy Hulie Bryan
Roy Hulie Bryan, 88, of Coal Hill, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009, at Lamar.
He was a native of Trumann, son of the late Hulie Roy and Martha Ward Bryan, attended the Assembly of God Church, U. S. Navy veteran of World War II, member of Coal Hill VFW, retired sheet metal employee, and was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Snow Bryan, and one brother, Robert Bryan.
He is survived by one daughter, Patsy Bryan; one stepdaughter, Betty Aschoff of Parker, Colo.; one stepson, Ronald Ford of Keenesburg, Colo.; one sister, Virginia Winters of California; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at Coal Hill cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
Arlis Lee Graham
Arlis Lee Graham, 57, of Ozark, brother of Reba Umholtz of Lamar and Mary Simpson of Mountain Top, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008, at the Veterans Hospital in Fayetteville.
He was a native of Mountain Top, attended Full Gospel Temple Church in Ozark, U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, held several supervisory positions in northwest Arkansas, and was preceded in death by his father, Youel Ray Graham; one grandson, Kirklin Drake; and one brother, Charles D. Graham.
Survivors include one daughter, Callie Mann of Rogers; one stepson, Matt Rawlins of Bella Vista; mother, Gracie Marie Bowman Graham Norris of Altus; four other sisters, Ruth Spicer of Harrison, Frances Hodges of Springdale, Debbie Ellison of Ozark and Sandy Sullivan of Rudy; two brothers, Bill Graham of Ozark and Jimmy Graham of Huntsville; five grandchildren, Tanner, Caden, Maigan, Mason and Morgan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with Rev. C. E. Simpson and Rev. Roger Umholtz officiating. Burial was at Belt cemetery with military honors.
Active pallbearers were John Umholtz, C. W. Simpson II, Mike Hodges, Gary Hodges, Tommy Spicer and Larry Couch.
Honorary pallbearers were Willie Jones, Jeremy Jones, Don Farmer and Jimmy Rogers.
