E. E. Hudson
E. E. Hudson, 82, of Russellville died Friday, Sept. 4, 2009, at Legacy Lodge Nursing Home at Russellville, AR.
He was born May 7, 1927, at Clarksville, Arkansas, son of the late Elmer L. and Laura Harvey Hudson, 1944 graduate of Clarksville High School, 1949 graduate of The College of the Ozarks with a BS-Biology degree, the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville with M Ed, MS degrees, and served 1945-1947 with U. S. Navy, PhM3/c USN Hospital Corps. He taught school at Hackett Public Schools in 1949-1950, Fort Smith High School in 1950-1961, Arkansas Tech in 1961-1992, served as associate professor, department chairman and biology department chairman and was professor emeritus.
He served as president of Arkansas Conference of AAUP, member of Belle Point Lodge No. 20 in Fort Smith, member of Western Arkansas Consistory in Fort Smith, a 32nd degree Mason and served as president of Hudson family association in 1975-1976.
He was a seventh generation Arkansan, a descendant of Edward Hudson who fought with General Francis Marion at the Battle of Gutaw Springs, S. C., in the Revoluntary War. The family arrived in Arkansas in the early 1800s. Tradition says early Hudson ancestors discovered and named Diamond Cave in Newton County in the early 1800s when chasing a bear with dogs.
He is survived by two sisters, Mildred Hudson Blackburn of Russellville and Ilene Hudson Jones of Odessa, Texas; one sister-in-law, Naomi Hudson of Russellville; seven nieces; 11 great-nephews; four great-nieces; nine great-great-nephews; six great-great-nieces and one great-great-great-nephew.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel in Clarksville with Rev. Tom Walker officiating. Burial will be at Woodland cemetery with graveside military honors.
Active pallbearers will be Justin Hudson, Ken Guston, Charles Oates, John David Farrell, Dr. Blake Stevenson, Dr. Dick Cahoon, Bret Stevenson and Ron Knost.
Honorary pallbearers will be Arkansas Tech University biology department staff and Wendell Self.
Visitation was held from 5-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8.

Odys A. Hardcastle
Born: May 24, 1915 in Franklin County AR and raised in Grenades Chapel. Attended school at Grenades Chapel.

Son of the late James (Jim) and Hattie Nichols Hardcastle of Ozark, AR
Served in the Civil Conservation Corp. in the States of Arkansas and Idaho. Proudly served in the military during WWII, sailing from New York City and landing on the shores of LaHarve, France. Was in many major battles of the war including The Battle of the Buldge. Served in Germany, Belgium, France and England where he was rewarded several medals in recognition of his service, and was entitled to wear European African Middle Eastern Theatre Campaign Ribbon, two overseas bars and Victory Ribbon. After returning home from the war he was able to pursue his dream of farming. He enrolled in "GI" school for farming, under the direction of Jimmy Styles of Hartman. He later purchased a farm in Franklin Co., AR. His main crop on the farm was peanuts and he raised many cattle. He grew huge gardens and row crops and carried that love of gardening over into present time, being well known throughout Johnson County where he has supplied his many customers with fresh garden vegetables each summer.
Owned and operated Hardcastle General Merchandise Store in Franklin Co., AR for many years.
preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years Jewell Highfill Hardcastle; sisters, Ocena Sutliff of Paris, AR, Effie Hardcastle of Ozark, Ella Lovell, Ozark, Lena Parker of Ozark, Imogene Stouffer of Ozark; brothers, John Hardcastle of Coal Hill, Edward (Sonny) Hardcastle of Van Buren, and Everett Hardcastle of Fort Smith.
Charter member of Centerpoint Baptist Church and 40 plus year member and usher of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, Clarksville.
Lifetime member of the American Legion. Board member of the Salvation Army.
Survived by his loving wife of 11 years Anna Acord Hardcastle; two daughters and sons-in-law, Becky and Guy Cox of Conway and Regina and Raymond Williams of Fayetteville; one son, Larry Hardcastle of Pottsville; granddaughters, Teresa Williams Conquest and husband, Michael Conquest, of Lamar, AR, Brenda Williams Martin of Springdale, AR, Courtney Cox Nowotny and husband, Justin Nowotny, of Conway, Chrissy Hardcastle McCarley of Hodges, Alabama, Sabrina Hardcastle Kirkpatrick and husband, Barry, of Hackett; grandsons, Brian Hammond of Clarksville, Kevin Williams of Fairbanks, Alaska and Safford, Arizona, and Travis Hardcastle of Fort Smith; great-grandchildren, Laura Conquest of Lamar, Summer Nicole Conquest of Rogers, Ashley Conquest Clement and husband, Tom Clement, Cheyenne Varnell, Jocelynn Martin and Emily Martin, all of Fayetteville, Brittany Williams of Safford, Arizona, Savannah Lopez, Marque Lopez of Safford, Arizona, Liam James Nowotny of Conway, Grace, Tanner and Logan McCarley of Hodges, Alabama; one great-great-grandson, Colton Lee Clement of Fayetteville; one sister, Mary Hardcastle Opper of Quinlan, Texas; two stepdaughters, Mary Birkhahn of Lamar and Anita Pitts of Little Rock; two stepsons, Bill Acord and Glenn Acord of Clarksville; and also survived by his many loving friends at Landmark Church, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Visitation will be held at Hardwicke Funeral Home on Monday, September 7, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Services will be held at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Clarksville with Brother Kenneth Ashlock and Rev. Vernon Bass officiating on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 2:00 PM. Burial will be at Kendall cemetery with military honors.

Theodore L. "Ted" Williamson
Theodore L. "Ted" Williamson , age 69 of rural Table Grove , Illinois , died at 1:48 p.m. on Monday , October 11,2010 at his home. He was born on July, 7,1941 in Avon, Illinois the son of Lyle and Bernice Walters Williamson. He married
Betsy Hammond on December 12,1982 in Marietta, Illinois.
He is survived by his wife Betsy. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Barbara Williamson.
Ted had lived in Norris City, Illinois before moving to Table Grove in 2000.He had worked many years at International Harvester, he started with the State Police in 1985 and worked for them as a Communication Electronic Tech., he retired in 2002. Ted was an Amateur Radio Operator and was also an award winning author.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services. Memorials may be made in his memory. Clugston - Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb is in charge of the arrangements.
Camilla Perone
Camilla Perone ,age 90 , a resident of the Wesley Village Health Care Center in Macomb, and formerly of Chicago, died at 8:55 p.m. on Sunday , October 3,2010 at Wesley Village.
She was born on February 16,1920 in Superior , Wis., the daughter of Joseph and Hermina Pilon Sicotte. She married
Joseph Perone on August 29,1953 . He preceded her in death on December 3,2004
She is survived by one son, Joe (Kathy) Perone Jr., of Macomb, 4 grandchildren Ted (Tracy) Heinze, Jeff (Jessica) Heinze , Angela Perone, and Monica Perone and 1 great -granddaughter, Makenzy Lennon-Perone, and 1 daughter-in-law Eileen Heinze. She was preceded in death by parents, husband, 1 son Edward Henry Heinze, 2 brothers Henry and Edward Sicotte.Camilla had lived in Chicago most of her married
life before moving to Yucca Valley, Calf., and she moved to Macomb in 1995. She had worked as a cashier and bookkeeper for many years before her retirement.She was a member of St. Pauls Catholic Church in Macomb.
Private family visitation will be held at the Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb. Private family graveside services will be held at the St. Mary’s cemetery in Evergreen Park at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday , October 6,2010.The family will meet with friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home (Edgar Funeral Directors) in Palos Hills , Illinois on Wednesday , October 6,2010.

Martha Vance
Martha Vance, 94, of 633 West McDonough Street, Macomb, passed away at 3 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at Country View Healthcare Center in Macomb.
She was born on January 8, 1916 in Hancock County to Lawrence and Pearl Smith Willis. She married
Glen Vance on July 28, 1939. He survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Evelyn McEvoy of St. Louis, Missouri, Mary Ann Anthony of Batavia and Susan Specht of Macomb; one son Jerry Vance of Macomb; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchldren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; twin brothers, Francis and Franklin Willis; a daughter, Ruth Elaine and an infant son.
She attended college in Grinnell, Iowa, and was a graduate of Robert Morris College in Carthage, Illinois. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Macomb and a former state board member of Illinois Home Extension Federation. She was also a charter member of the McDonough District Hospital Auxiliary. She was an accomplished pianist and shared her talent with many.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, October 18, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb with Reverend Russell Smith officiating. There will be no visitation. Cremation rites have been accorded. Private interment of ashes will be in the Harmony cemetery near Carthage at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church.
Austin Charles Smith
Austin Charles Smith, 6, of 1507 East Jackson Street, Macomb, passed away at 11 p.m. Friday, September 24, 2010 at his residence.
He was born on August 13, 2004 in Easley, South Carolina to Charles and Dendy Wardlaw Smith.
He is survived by his parents of Macomb; one sister, Breanna Tangmen of Canton; maternal grandparents, Charles and Nancy Wardlaw of Easley, South Carolina; Paternal grandparents, Charles and Helen Smith of Cuba and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Austin lived in Macomb since 2007 and was a student at Lincoln School. He attended Sunday School at the Church of the Nazerene in Macomb.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 30, 2010 at Macomb Church of the Nazerene with Reverend Judy Davenport officiating. There will be no visitation. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Memorials may be made to the Church of the Nazarene.
