James K. Michaels

James Kenneth Michaels, 78, died Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home in Lamar.

He was a native of Clinton, Ind., son of the late Charles and Leona Michaels, retired Tyson Inc. employee, Pentecostal, and was preceded in death by his first wife, Theloa Michaels; one daughter, Diana Rose; one sister; and two brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Michaels; three sons, Kenneth Michaels of Clarksville; Chris Michaels and wife, Linda, of Rogers and Tim Michaels of Newport; two daughters, Melinda Mahurin and husband, Jeff, of Kissimmee, Fla., and Sandy Michaels of Bentonville; two brothers, Charles Michaels and Joe Michaels, both of Clinton, Ind.; three sisters, Charlotte Hedden of Avoca, Erma Matlock of Rogers and Marie Patterson; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, March 10, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers with Pastor Robert Ward officiating. Burial was in Phillips cemetery at Cave Springs.

Active pallbearers were Sgt. Timothy Michaels, Ike Hedden, Russell Hedden, Cody Hedden, James Earl Matlock, and Johnny Matlock.

Honorary pallbearers were Staff Sgt. Brent Michaels and Aaron McClellan.

James F. McInturf

James Frank McInturf, 59, of Booneville, brother of Margaret Woodard of Clarksville, died Thursday, March 6, 2008, in a Nashville hospital.

He was a son of the late Frank and Lola McInturf, cabinetmaker, and preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Nicholson.

Survivors include two brothers, William McInturf of Harrison and Thomas McInturf of Booneville; and two other sisters, Laura Stark of Fort Smith and Lola Ann Van Allen of Booneville.

The body was cremated under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home of Booneville.

Laura Roberson

Laura Roberson, 89, of Dardanelle died Thursday, March 6, 2008.

She was a native of Clarksville, daughter of the late Jack and Bessie Cook, retired USDA poultry inspector, member of First Presbyterian Church in Dardanelle, and was preceded in death by one son, Jackie Roberson; one grandchild, Eric Tedford; one son-in-law, Sonny Tedford; and one brother, Phil Cook.

Survivors include one son, Dr. Ronnie Roberson and wife, Mary Lynn, of Little Rock; three daughters, Lauretta Tedford and Patti Salkeld and husband, James, all of Conway, and Ann Claypool of Dardanelle; one stepbrother, George Findley of Clarksville; nine grandchildren, Jeff, David and Kent Roberson, Cami Henderson, Corey Tedford, Denene Whitecotton, Rance Claypool, Summer Burroughs, and Brandi Johnson; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at Cornwell Funeral Home Chapel in Dardanelle with Kelly Pearson officiating. Burial was in Brearley cemetery at Dardanelle.

Active pallbearers were Kent Roberson, David Roberson, Jeff Roberson, Corey Tedford, Kenneth Johnson, and Claudie Bly.

Honorary pallbearers were Bill Millard, J. W. Bly, Lawrence Vaughn, and Ricky Whitecotton.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P. O. Box 2680, North Canton, Ohio 44720, or First Presbyterian Church, 200 North 2nd, Dardanelle, AR 72834.

Leagh E. Ritchey

Leagh E. Ritchey, 83, of Clarksville died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.

She was a native of Lumberport, W. Va., daughter of the late James Nathan Coltrane and Iva Myrtle Coltrane Wagner, widow of Harry O. Ritchey, member of Cherry Street Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by one sister, Marjorie Robison of Cleveland, Ohio.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews in Ohio and West Virginia and friends in the Clarksville area including Bill E. Rainwater.

A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 5, at Cherry Street Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Brewer officiating.

Her body was donated to UAMS in Little Rock.

Mary Lee Dougan

Mary Lee Hon Dougan, 86, of London died Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock.

She was a daughter of the late Tony and Zetta Lynch Sbabo, widow of Glen Hon and Paul (Pete) Dougan, and member of the Assembly of God Church and Order of Eastern Star at London.

She is survived by two sons, Dale Hon and wife, Linda, of Russellville and Richard Hon and wife, Denise, of London; four sisters, Isabell Waterson and Sue Jackson of Russellville, Pauline Siegeler of London, and Jessie King of Arizona; one brother, Pete Sbabo of Russellville; 13 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mary LeGrand officiating. Burial was in Brock cemetery at London.

Grandsons served as pallbearers.

Michael E. Lambert

Michael Elwood Lambert, 40, of Coal Hill died Friday, March 7, 2008, at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith.

He was a native of Olive Hill, Ky., son of the late Elwood and Janet Parker Lambert, and was employed as a carpenter/craftsman.

Survivors include his wife, Jessica Johnson Lambert; two daughters, Breanna Nikole Lambert of the home and Allie Bortles of Soldier, Ky.; one son, Michael Bortles of Soldier, Ky.; two sisters, Rhonda Murray of Johnstown, Pa., and Tammy Jones of Houston, Texas; and two brothers, Christopher Carter of Olive Hill, Ky., and Jamie Lambert of Vanceburg, Ky.

Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, at the Liberty Hill cemetery at Hunt with Rev. John Kindrix officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers were Tonya Hanson, Willie Bates, Adam Richards, Shawn Crabtree, Steven Johnson, and Bobby Richards.

Honorary pallbearers were Angel Hernandez, Bill Richards, J. J. Walker, Chance Young, Xavier Wilcoxen, and Brandy Wilcoxen.

Michael Lee Bullard

Michael Lee Bullard, 45, of Denning died Thursday, March 6, 2008, in Fayetteville.

He was a native of Ozark and a former table maker.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Zolliecoffer Bullard; four daughters, Kaylee Bullard of Clarksville, Makella Bullard and Anna Lee Bullard of Denning, and Kendra Hamman of Mississippi; two sons, Claeten Bullard of Clarksville and Bobby Whitecotton of Ratcliff; parents Ervin and Sue Ralph Hurtt of Alix; one sister, Donna Harris of Lavaca; two brothers, Shawn Hurtt and Allen Hurtt of Alix; and one grandchild, Aiden Zolliecoffer of Wynne.

Graveside services and burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, at Pond Creek cemetery with Rev. David Zeiler officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.

Pallbearers will be Buddy Owens, Dale Hurtt, Robert Dale Pyron, Robert Perry, Eric Ralph and Lindon Day.

Paul M. Meadors

Paul Malcom Meadors, 94, of Mulberry, grandfather of Caren Immel of Clarksville, died Sunday, March 2, 2008, at Mercy Hospital Turner Memorial in Ozark.

He was a son of the late Schuler and Melda Meadors, retired farmer, beeman, cattleman, and a member and deacon of First Baptist Church in Mulberry.

Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Pauline Ivey Meadors; two daughters, Rena Aline Stephens of Subiaco and Melda Sue Smith of Mulberry; one son, Paul Thomas Meadors of Mulberry; one sister, Violet Sue Meadors of Albuquerque, N. M.; one brother, Perice Meadors of Bakersfield, Calif.; seven other grandchildren, Catherine Martinez of Jessup, Ga., Cynthia Benson of Bowling Green, Ohio, Shannon Meadors of Vancouver, Wash., Tara Wilson of Fort Worth, Texas, Angela Clayton of Mulberry, Mary Gonzales of Dyer, and Sarah Six of Alma; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral was at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, at First Baptist Church of Mulberry with Rev. Steve Harelson and Rev. Randy Jones officiating.

Burial was in New cemetery at Mulberry under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma.

Active pallbearers were Jimmy Moore, Leroy Kizer, Jeff Marvin, Bud Braselton, Charles Wiley, and John Six.

Honorary pallbearers were deacons of First Baptist Church of Mulberry.
