Charles Standridge

Charles Lee Standridge, 76, of Dover died Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.

A native of Johnson County, he was a son of the late Charley and Lura Owens Standridge, retired from the Pleasant Hill District of the U. S. Forestry Service after 31 years, raised poultry for Tyson Foods for ten years, and was a member of the Gospel Lighthouse Pentecostal Church where he was past Sunday school superintendent and currently a trustee and secretary of the building fund. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Herbert Standridge, Don Standridge, and Clinton Standridge; and two sisters, Ruth Clark and Wanda Judkins.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Lenora Shuffield Standridge; one son, Dennis Standridge of Dover; one sister, Jewel English; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, June 9, at the Gospel Lighthouse Pentecostal Church with Rev. Bruce Smithson, Rev. Bob Freeman and Rev. Jackie Brewer officiating.

Burial was in the Owens cemetery at Dover under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service of Russellville.

Memorials may be made to the Gospel Lighthouse Pentecostal Church, c/o Stan Shuffield, 5165 SR 164 West, Dover, AR 72837.

Eunice M. Garland

Eunice Maude Collins Garland, 67, of Lowell, died Sunday, June 8, 2008, at Springdale.

She was a native of Cave Mountain in Newton County, daughter of the late Spencer and Mollie Mae Smith Collins, widow of J. O. Garland, graduate of Oark High School, and had lived most of her life in Clarksville where she owned and operated Clarksville Optical. She was preceded in death by one sister, Maxine.

Survivors include one brother, Tony Collins of Marble Falls; two sisters, Gloria Ouderkirk of Springdale and Artie Swafford and husband, Sherman, of Lowell; and one brother-in-law, James Minnis of Belle Plaine, Kan.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 12, at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale with Dotson Collins officiating. Burial will be in Friendship cemetery.

M. Sgt. Tracy Sisco

M. Sgt. Tracy Lane Sisco, 40, of Clarksville died Saturday, June 7, 2008, in Vilonia.

He was a native of Beaumont, Texas, 1986 graduate of Clarksville High School where he was a former drummer and drum major, spent 22 years in the United States Air Force, member of the Clarksville Church of Christ and Unit 314 Security Forces Squadron stationed at Little Rock Air Force Base, and was a Boy Scout Eagle in Troop 76.

Survivors include his mother, Ruby Harris Sisco of Clarksville; father and stepmother, Kenneth and Loretta Sisco of Joplin, Mo.; grandmother, Mae Evelyn Harris of Clarksville; two sisters, Terri Dale of Columbus, Ohio, and Robyn Lawrence of La Porte, Texas; and two brothers, Kenneth Scott Sisco of Joplin, Mo., and Greg Sisco of Clarksville.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, at the Clarksville Church of Christ with Todd Rabalais and John Ballard officiating.

Burial will be in Oakland cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Sisco, 1st Sgt. (Ret.) Greg Sisco, 1st Sgt. Pat Ellison, 1st Sgt. Chuck Doan, Mike Whitkanack, Kevin Mills, Chief M. Sgt. Terry Ford.

Donal Neukirch

Donal Williams Neukirch, 62, of Hagarville died May 21, 2008, at his home.

He was a native of McComb, Miss., graduate of McComb High School, attended Mississippi State College, and a retired security officer.

He has no surviving relatives but is survived by close friends, Ross Rohlaff of Hagarville, Greg Price of Monroe, La., and the Estep family.

The body was cremated.

Local arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Julius Highfill

Julius Highfill, 83, of Springdale died Sunday, June 8, 2008, in Springdale.

He was a native of Hartman, certified welder and farmer, deacon at Center Point Missionary Baptist Church, World War II Army veteran, active member of the Clarksville DAV, and was preceded in death by his parents, Toby and Pearl (Brasher) Highfill; wife, Hazel (Jones) Highfill; two sisters, Mae Pipkins and Jewel Hardcastle; and one brother, Hansel Highfill.

Survivors include one daughter, Sheena Pruett of Springdale; one son, Terry Highfill of Altus/Denning; and four grandchildren, Toby Highfill of Kansas City, Mo., Andy Highfill of Russellville, Kris Pruett of Las Vegas, Nev., and Shondra Pruett Miller of Dallas, Texas.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 13, at Center Point Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. George Farquar officiating. Burial will be in Kendall cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Gary Jacobs, Larry Robertson, James Gould, Don Highfill, Stephen Sosebee, Steve Jacobs, and Gary Allen Jacobs.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 12, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Scott Stover

Scott Stover, 31, of Ozark, a native of Clarksville, died Monday, June 2, 2008, in Paris.

He was a lineman for C & N Electric.

Survivors include his wife, Tara Bryant Stover; two daughters, Kennedy Stover of Ozark and Daegan Scott of Minco, Okla.; two sons, Isaac Stover of Minco, Okla., and Hadyn Stover of Ozark; parents, Daniel Stover of Owasso, Okla., and Susie Pannell Mathews of Ozark; three sisters, Corye Stover and Sarah Stover of Owasso, Okla., and Leanna Matthews of Fayetteville; one stepsister, Teoma Court of Fort Smith; and three stepbrothers, Michael Grigsby, Wade Grigsby, and Kevin Grigsby of Oklahoma City, Okla.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday, June 6, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with Rev. Gaylan Williams officiating. Burial was in West Mt. Zion cemetery near Hartman.

Marvin H. Knuckles

Marvin Henry Knuckles, 91, of Lamar died Monday, June 9, 2008, at Paris Health and Rehabilitation Center.

He was a native of Catalpa, son of the late James Edward and Cora Skaggs Knuckles, member of Lamar Baptist Church, retired floor installation employee, and was preceded in death by his wife, Goldene Johnson Knuckles; one daughter, Mary Knuckles; two sisters, Ruby and Martha Knuckles; and three brothers, Bill, Thomas and Sidney Knuckles.

Survivors include one daughter, Velma White of Russellville; three sons, Benny Knuckles of Fairfield, Calif., Marvin Leon Knuckles of Hot Springs, and Joe Knuckles of Lamar; three sisters, Lois Engeldinger of California, Jewell Kemp of Little Rock, and Pearl Adkison of Garrison, Texas; ten grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 12, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with burial in Lamar cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, at Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Geneva R. Wheeler

Geneva R. Wheeler, 83, of Lamar died Tuesday, July 29, 2008, in Russellville Nursing Rehabilitation Center.

She was a native of Scott County and attended Knoxville Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Jim Sutton of Russellville, formerly of Lamar; one brother, Eugene Watkins of Grass Valley, Calif.; two grandsons, Kevin Sutton of Lamar and Marc Smelser and wife, Debbie, of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.

The body was cremated.

Burial services will be held at the Monroe cemetery in Harvey at a later date.
