Mary Margaret Rinke Anderson Carter, 72, of Kansas City, Mo., died June 7, 2008, at North Kansas City Hospital.
She was a native of Hartman.
Rosary was at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, at White Chapel Funeral Home in Gladstone, Mo.
Michael L. Hendricks
Michael Lee Hendricks, 51, of Clarksville died Saturday, June 14, 2008, at his home.
He was a native of Los Angeles, Calif., graduate of Pasadena (California) High School and an employee of Tyson Foods.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Short Hendricks; one daughter, Shannon Hendricks of California; mother, Patricia Thomas of Collinsville, Okla.; one sister, Michelle Ann Jewett of Collinsville, Okla.; one grandchild, Daniel Hendricks of Collinsville, Okla.; two nephews, Jerry Jewett and wife, Stacey, and Donald Cox, all of Collinsville, Okla.; and two great-nieces, Keirstin Jewett and Carlee Michelle Cox, both of Collinsville, Okla.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 16, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Cameron officiating.
The body was cremated.
Mildred Faye Turner
Mildred Faye Turner, 69, of Clarksville died June 14, 2008, at her home.
She was born at Low Gap, daughter of the late Virgil (Jack) and Lillian E. (Bump) Melson, retired bookkeeper, and was preceded in death by three brothers, Elzie W. Melson, Rev. C. W. Melson, and Virgil D. Melson; and one grandchild, Christian Turner.
Survivors include her husband, Buddie Wayne Turner; one daughter, Donna Diane Turner of Russellville; two sons, Wade Dejuan Turner and wife, Donna, and Darren Wayne Turner, all of Clarksville; one sister, Mattie Mozelle Atkins of Ozone; two brothers, Eugene Melson of Ozone and Doyle Melson of Clarksville; seven grandchildren, Jade E. Turner, Audria Curtis, Adrienne Turner, Kenton Turner, Freddie Wayne Turner, Trent Owens, and Joshua Owens; and two great-grandchildren, Skyleigh Curtis and Trenton Owen.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, at the Ozone Baptist Church with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating.
Burial will be in the Mount Airy cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Wes Kendrick, Wes Turner, Terry Turner, Steven Norton, John Nolan Brown, M. L. Griffith, Stephen Melson, and Trent Owens.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua Scott Owens, David D. Melson, Ricky Melson, Jesse Atkins, Kenton Turner, Freddie Wayne Turner and Mike Melson.
Nancy Gray
Nancy Joan McCarrell Gray, 60, of Fort Smith, sister of Billy Butler of Knoxville, died Monday, June 9, 2008, in Fort Smith.
She was a retired office manager, former employee of Edwards Funeral Home, member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, daughter of the late Sylvester and Edith Bolden Butler, and was preceded in death by her first husband, Durand McCarrell; and one son, Randal McCarrell.
Survivors include her husband, Ervin (Bully) Gray; one daughter, Dara McCarrell Hopson of Fort Smith; one other brother, Tony Butler of Plymouth, Mass.; one granddaughter, Mylynn Hopson; and mother-in-law, Bessie Gray of Dardanelle.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday, June 13, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial in Oakland cemetery at Russellville.

Robert Carrier
Robert Carrier, 70, of Mulberry, father of Betty June Adams of Coal Hill, died Wednesday, June 4, 2008.
He was a native of Mulberry, son of the late Roy Carrier, Pentecostal, retired truck driver, and was preceded in death by his stepfather, Kennel Henry; two brothers, Olen (Dock) Henry and Eugene (Shug) Henry; and one sister, Gladys Henry Smith.
Other survivors include one son, Michael Carrier of Mulberry; mother, Minia Dutton Henry of Mulberry; two sisters, Delpha Rosson of Mulberry and Margaret Edwards of Van Buren; two brothers, Darrell Henry and Bobby Allen of Mulberry; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at Ocker Funeral Home Chapel in Alma with burial at Pope cemetery in Mulberry.
Betty Kirby
Betty Lou Kirby, 70, of Ozark, sister of Harold Richards of Coal Hill, died Thursday, July 17, 2008, in Fort Smith.
She was a native of Franklin County, daughter of the late Edward and Bessie Evans Richards, widow of Joe Tom Kirby, retired Cargill employee, attended the Free Will Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by one son, Donald Wayne Kirby; one sister, Kathleen Hill; and two brothers, James and Cecil Ray Richards.
Other survivors include one son, James Kirby of Ozark; and two sisters, Mary Richards Chancey of Saltillo, Miss., and Bertha Richards Clark of Ozark.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 19, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with Rev. Steve Sawrie officiating. Burial was in Highland cemetery at Ozark.
Active pallbearers were David and Bill Richards, Roger Baldwin, Kenneth Nichols, Bob Horn and Preston Estep.
Honorary pallbearers were Craig Chancey and Paul Flatt.

James Richard Stark
James Richard Stark, 64, of Clarksville died Friday, July 25, 2008, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a native of Heber Springs, son of the late Hobert Lee and Ruby Ethal Stone Stark, retired from Windsor Door and the National Guard, member of Belle Grove Lodge No. 410 and was preceded in death by one half-brother, Bob Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Frances Hall Stark; and two sisters, LaVada Viola Gilmore of Greers Ferry and Nettie Louise Hull of Springdale.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, July 28, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Snyder officiating. Burial was in Shady Grove cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Dr. Kenneth New, John Patterson, Wesley Kendrick, Aubrey Yount, John Brown and Wayne Turner.
Honorary pallbearers were Tom Richardson, Junior Griffith, James Duff, Mike Jacobs, Ed Gray and Donald Bradley.
James Scarborough
James Robert Scarborough, 16, son of Rev. Jimmy Scarborough of San Antonio, Texas, and Charlotte House Scarborough of Bono died Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at his home in Bono.
He was a junior at Jonesboro High School and preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Marjorie Scarborough; and maternal grandfather, Monroe House.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Terry Scarborough and wife, Marie, of Kamloops, BC; one sister, Cara Lee Scarborough of Victoria, BC; grandmother, Pauline House of Bono; grandfather, Dr. W. R. Scarborough of Clarksville; uncles, Dennis and S. A. House of Houston, Paul and Sharon of Jonesboro, and Bill and Kary Scarborough of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; and aunts, Jo Anne Martin of North Little Rock and Maradee Stroupe of Clarksville.
Graveside services and burial were Thursday, July 24, at Jonesboro Memorial Park cemetery with Rev. Brad Clark of Highland Drive Christian Church officiating.
