Christine Everingham
Christine A. Everingham, 90, of Augusta, died Jan. 7, 2008.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin L. Everingham Sr. in 1996, daughter, LeRene Tillman; and great-grandson, Derrick Freeman; was a retired cafeteria manager in the Ventura County, Calif., school system, "volunteer grandmother" in the Clarksville school system and a Presbyterian.
Survivors include two sons, Roy Everingham and wife, Sandra, of Evans, and David Everingham of Rincon, Ga.; grandchildren, Stacy Gooden, Todd Tillman, Kimberly Simmons, David Everingham, Christy Suits and Paul Everingham; and nine great-grandchildren.
The body was cremated and a memorial service will be held in Clarksville at a later date.
Dorothy Lingerfelt
Dorothy Jean Pool Lingerfelt, 55, of Siloam Springs, mother of Jimmy Perry of Hartman, died Dec. 24, 2007, at her home.
She was a native of Altus, daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy Strope Pool, hairdresser, and was preceded in death by one brother, Gilbert Luther Pool.
Survivors include her husband, Jeff Lingerfelt; two other sons, Robert Perry of Ozark and Wesley Perry of Siloam Springs; one sister, Charlotte Delaney of Ozark; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with Rev. Mike Pennington officiating. Burial was at Liberty cemetery near Altus.
Frances T. King
Frances Thompson King, 85, of Clarksville died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, in Little Rock.
A native of Fort Gibson, Okla., she was a daughter of the late Elmer Price and Mary Hawkins Thompson, graduate of Muskogee (Oklahoma) High School, Oklahoma State College and LSU with a degree in library science, retired librarian, widow of Lawrence Kenneth King, and member of Clarksville First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Adele Jacobs and husband, Mike, of Clarksville and Carol Stiffler and husband, Fred, of Little Rock; two sons, Pat King of Clarksville and Don King and wife, Beth, of Little Rock; one sister, Dorothy Dunlap of Muskogee, Okla.; nine grandchildren, Jeremy Dorrough of Harrison, Nick Dorrough, Alex King, Kristin King, Anna Jacobs, and Ben Jacobs, all of Clarksville, Matthew King of Springdale, Rebecca King of McLean, Va., and Kathryn King of Fayetteville; and three great-grandchildren, Michael and Cherri Dorrough and Caleb King.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Marci Ward officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.
Pallbearers were Freeman Wish, Paul Taylor, Mike Jacobs, Mike Stone, Matthew King, Jeremy Dorrough, Nick Dorrough, and Doug Morgan.
Gladys Dean
Gladys Bibler Dean, 90, of McAlester, Okla., died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007, at Walnut Grove Living Center in McAlester, Okla.
She was a native of Broomfield, daughter of the late David and Alida Johnson Bibler, widow of Burl Wilson Dean, former resident of Russellville, member of the First Baptist Church in McAlester, Okla., and was preceded in death by three brothers, Odus Bibler, Glen Bibler and Ewing Bibler.
She is survived by one daughter, Janice Barnhouse and husband, Horace, of McAlester, Okla.; one son, Jerry Dean and wife, Karen, of Clarksville; five grandsons, Daniel Barnhouse and wife, Jennifer, of Tulsa, Okla., Timothy Barnhouse and wife, Vicki, of McAlester, Okla., Stefan Barnhouse and wife, Jenny, of Tulsa, Okla., Joshua Dean and wife, Carrie, and Jerred Dean and wife, Naomi, all of Clarksville; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, at Humphrey Funeral Service Chapel in Russellville with Rev. Jeff Paxton officiating. Burial was in Rest Haven Memorial Park at Russellville.
Hugh Dale Pitts
A memorial celebration of the life of Hugh Dale Pitts, 60, of Clarksville, who died Nov. 23, 2007, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008, at the Foy Howard Community Center located at 605 Lucas Street in Clarksville.
John M. Hardwicke
John McKeen Hardwicke, 43, died Friday, January 4, 2008, at North Logan Mercy Hospital in Paris after a three year battle with cancer. Born August 20, 1964 in Paris, Arkansas, he was the youngest son of Mort G. and Betty L. (McKeen) Hardwicke. He was a life long resident of Logan County. John was a 1982 graduate of Paris High School and attended Arkansas Tech University. He was employed for 22 years by the State Assessment Coordination Department as a property assessment auditor. John was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Ratcliff, AR and the Knights of Columbus. John was an avid golfer, hunter and outdoorsman. He was a loving husband, father and brother. John was preceded in death by his parents, maternal grandparents, J. W. and Ethel (Ray) McKeen, and paternal grandparents, Mort B. and Pat Dandridge Hardwicke.
John is survived by his wife, Debra (Koenigseder) Hardwicke; son, Mort Deacon Hardwicke and daughter, Ryleigh Marie Hardwicke, all of the home; brothers, Bob Hardwicke and wife, Becky, and Bryan Hardwicke and wife, Sandra, of Paris; sisters, Beth Butler and husband, Mickey, of New Blaine, Jane Ann Koch and husband, Randy, of Paris; in-laws, Bob and Wanda Koenigseder of Scranton; maternal aunt, Melba McKeen of Los Angeles, CA; paternal aunt, Betty Hardwicke of Springfield, MO; stepfather, Eddie Herlein of Cherokee Village, AR and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law.
Pallbearers were Audie Wigger, Jack Murders, Kevin Rucker, Mitchell Lloyd, Glen Spicer, Lee Williams, David Tencleve, and Steve Forst.
Honorary pallbearers were hunting and golfing buddies.
The family visited with friends at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, January 6, at the St. Benedict Coury House-Subiaco. Rosary followed at 7:45 p.m. in the church.

Kathrina White
Kathrina White, 91, of Russellville died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007, at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Russellville, daughter of the late Fredrick and Emma Priebe Baurichter, widow of Roy Edd White, member of East Point Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by one brother, Otto Baurichter; one sister, Mildred Smith; and one granddaughter, Tonya Johnson.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Terry E. and Ruth White of London and Lee Roy and Velma White of Russellville; two daughters and a son-in-law, Cathryn Evelyn Cline and Earl Hull of Marble City, Okla., and Anna Lou Johnson of Russellville; sister-in-law, Patsy White of Russellville; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, at Shinn Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Ira Taylor and Rev. Larry Pless officiating. Burial was in East Point cemetery.
Active pallbearers were grandchildren, Randy White, Mark White, Edward White, Jerry White, Gerry White, Kenneth White, Craig Johnson, Troy Johnson, Andrea Johnson, Jason Johnson and Kevin Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers were great-grandchildren.

LaMoyne Virginia Berry
LaMoyne Virginia Berry, 93, of Clarksville died Dec. 30, 2007, at her home.
She was the widow of Harry Berry and daughter of the late Wickliffe J. and Gula Elma Ewers Kyte.
She is survived by one daughter, Janet Irwin and husband, Leo, of Clarksville; one son, Paul Gene Reese of Palm Ray, Fla.; and five grandchildren, Lerind Lee Fields of Coal Hill, Larry D. Irwin of Battle Creek, Mich., Wendy Reese of Fort Wayne, Ind., Terry Reese and Brandon Reese.
The body was cremated.
Local arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Lois Lowry
Lois Lowry, 83, of Fort Collins, Colo., whose son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Rita Lowry, reside in Clarksville, died Dec. 14, 2007, at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colo.
She was a native of Scottsbluff, Colo., daughter of the late Floyd and Myrtle Bartow, educated in Scottsbluff and Gering, Colo., employed as a housekeeper for West Nebraska General Hospital and a laundress at St. Mary's Hospital in Scottsbluff, Colo., and was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Ardeth Lowry; one sister, Lona June; five brothers, Dale, Harold, Ernie, Normand and Louie; and granddaughter, Amy Jo.
She is survived by five other children, Patricia (Richard) Johnson of Fort Collins, Colo., Wilda (Gary Boots) Britthouer of Scottsbluff, Colo., Alton (Betty) Lowry of Fort Collins, Colo., Karl (Patsy) Lowry of Lexington, Colo., and Priscilla (Bill) Davis of Jacksonville, Fla.; 21 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and sisters-in-law.
A memorial service will be held Friday, March 21, 2008, at the Berean Church in Scottsbluff, Colo., with Dr. Charles L. Bonds officiating. Inurnment will be at the West Lawn cemetery in Gering, Colo.
