Freda L. Chavers
Freda Louise Chavers, 77, of Springdale, formerly of Clarksville, died Friday, Sept. 7, 2007, at North West Medical Center Hospital in Springdale.
A native of the Spadra Community, she was a daughter of the late Homer and Bertha Porter East, member of the Assembly of God Church, and was preceded in death by one brother, Wildon East.
Survivors include her husband, Cyrus Nelson Chavers; one son, Kenneth Wayne Harkey of Springdale; one sister, Dorothy Faye Thomas of Springdale; one brother, Billy East of Coal Hill; two grandchildren, Vicki Phelps of Lowell and Shelia Anthney of Springdale; and four great-grandchildren, Bethany and Brandon Anthney and Christopher and Cory Phelps.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bobby Dotson officiating. Burial was in Knoxville cemetery.
Pallbearers were Thomas Phelps, Donald Anthney, Bob Nichols, Matt Nichols, Bob Hall and Junior Anglin.
Geneva Humphrey
Geneva Schwarz Humphrey, 78, of Hancock, Wis., died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2007, at Stevens Point, Wis.
A native of Ozone, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Annabelle Ross Schwarz, graduate of Hancock High School, former employee of Sentry Insurance and was preceded in death by one grandson, Trevor Humphrey.
Survivors include her husband, Royce R. Humphrey; two sons, Gary (Pat) Humphrey and Gregory Humphrey; one daughter, Ginger (Darvin) Pfaff; four sisters, Alene (Dale) Losey, Lois (Richard) Klein, Lorene (Dale) Allen, and Evelyn (Robert) Beggs; two brothers, Karl (Marcy) Schwarz and Donald (Theresa) Schwarz; five grandchildren, Troy (Jennifer) Humphrey, Tricia (Jim) Lietz, and Katrina, Darrin and Quincy Pfaff; three great-grandchildren, Curtis Humphrey and Paige and Hannah Lietz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Burial was in Hancock cemetery.
Mildred C. Blair
Mildred Cromer Blair, 80, of Cabot, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2007.
A native of Lamar, she was a daughter of the late Jerome and Arnie Owen Cromer, widow of Sanford D. Blair, graduate of Jacksonville High School, member of First Baptist Church of Conway, attended First Baptist Church of Cabot, licensed cosmetologist, real estate agent, and was preceded in death by two sisters, Zoe Ballinger and Audrey Magdelano.
She is survived by one brother, J. E. Cromer and wife, Carole, of Norfork; one sister, Lorene Cromer Shaver of Benton; one niece, Jacquelyn Moore and husband, Jonathan, of North Little Rock; one nephew, Joseph Cromer and wife, Leanne, of North Little Rock; two great-nieces, Erica Moore and Charlotte Cromer; and one great-nephew, Chase Cromer.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3, in Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was in Bayou Meto cemetery in Jacksonville under the direction of Moore's Cabot Funeral Home.
Wilma A. Clark
Wilma A. (Sue) Breedlove Clark, 81, of Lockport, N. Y., died Monday, Sept. 3, 2007, in Lockport, N. Y.
A native of Lamar, she was a daughter of the late Walter V. and Ethel Umphreys Breedlove, widow of Mervin L. Clark, served in the military and was preceded in death by one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Joan and Billy Ray Campbell.
She is survived by six grandchildren, Stacie L. Ruppel and husband, Daniel, Billy Ray Campbell II, Walter L. Campbell, Johnathon P. Campbell and wife, Krista, Shannon M. Fosmer and husband, Allen, and Clarence D. Campbell and wife, Karen; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at the Annie's Chapel cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Mrs. Barbara Hutchins
Mrs. Barbara Ann Hutchins, 51, of Lamar died Friday, Jan. 21, 2000, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of Ministries A Flame Church and daughter of the late Oscar E. McAlister and Gracie A. Clayborn McAlister.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry D. Hutchins; two daughters, Connie A. Porter of Clarksville and Mary L. (Sissy) Kaylor of Ward; two sons, Jimmy D. Hale of Clarksville and Billy J. Hale of Lamar; two sisters, Linda A. Bruton and Mary Lou McAlister, both of Lamar; two brothers, Everett Ray McAlister of Clarksville and Bobby Joe McAlister of Lamar; and six grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, at Ministries A Flame Church with Edna Burnett, pastor, officiating.
Burial was in Lamar cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Kevin Holt, Josh White, Ronnie White, William Palmer, Billy Ray Parker, and Joe McCarley.
Honorary pallbearers were Donnie Wood, Bobby Dean Duff, and Danny Clayborn.
Mrs. Corina Freeman
Mrs. Corina Sue Freeman, 64, of Charleston, sister of William Michael Taylor of Clarksville, died Friday, Jan. 14, 2000, in Charleston.
A native of Fort Smith, she was a daughter of the late Elmer Ralph Taylor, retired nurses aide at Greenhurst Nursing Home and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her mother, Neta Faye Taylor Essman of Charleston; one sister, Solda Frum of Lenexa, Kan.; two other brothers, Jerry Taylor of Hot Springs Village and Larry Taylor of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, at Smith Mortuary Chapel with Travis Huffman officiating.

Mrs. Erma F. Burney
Mrs. Erma Felkins Burney, 82, of Mountain Grove, Mo., sister of Sybil Utnage of Clarksville, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2000, in Mountain Grove, Mo.
She was a daughter of the late Earl and Fannie Felkins of Clarksville.
Other survivors include one daughter, Sharon Hilt of Mountain Grove, Mo.; one son, Kenny Burney of Mountain Grove, Mo.; five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral and burial were Thursday, Jan. 20, in Mountain Grove, Mo.
Mrs. Edna Green
Mrs. Edna Green, 70, of Van Buren, mother of Mary Jane Croff of Clarksville, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2000.
She was a retired employee of Allen Canning Company and a Pentecostal.
Survivors include her husband, Louis Green; one other daughter, Linda Tuck of Van Buren; four sons, J. C. Green and William (Bill) Green, both of Mulberry, Larry Green of Pocola, Okla., and Floyd Green of Van Buren; one sister, Betty Lou Masterson of Spiro, Okla.; three brothers, Jimmy Woods of Spiro, Okla., Johnny Woods of Pocola, Okla., and Frankie Woods of Tulsa, Okla.; 19 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gill cemetery in Van Buren.
Pallbearers were Bill Chronister, Danny Robertson, Glen Sherburn, Bobby Flurry, Clay Wiley and Steve Morse.
