Wade Robert "Bob" Blansett
Wade Robert "Bob" Blansett, 91, of Pacolet, South Carolina, formerly of Macomb, passed away at 3:40 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at the home of his daughter in Pacolet.
He was born on June 15, 1924 in Buckhorn Township, Illinois to Harold and Mary Moore Blansett. He married
Donna Willey on February 14, 1948 in Macomb. She passed away on June 8, 2012.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Hank Decker and one brother, Harold Richard Blansett.
Bob is survived by three daughters, Becky Dochterman of Pacolet, South Carolina, Susan (Mark Peyton) Blansett of Golden, Colorado and Carol (Mike) Wiggins of Charlotte, North Carolina; two sons, Michael (Sharon) Blansett of Gainesville, Florida and Joseph Blansett of Pacolet, South Carolina; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Bob lived most of his life with Donna in Macomb before moving to Pacolet in 2013. He was a graduate of Bardolph High School and obtained his plumber’s license under the GI Bill. He owned Bob’s Plumbing and Heating in Macomb for 40 years before his retirement. He developed the Hidden Hills subdivision on Candy Lane, where his family lived for many years. He was a Coast Guard veteran, having served during WWII in the Pacific on the USS Orange. Bob was a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan; he enjoyed gardening, travel, being in the outdoors and spending time with family.
He and Donna were 60-year members of the First Christian Church of Macomb, where he served as an elder for many years. He also served several terms on the boards of directors of First Christian and McDonough Power Cooperative.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2015 at the First Christian Church in Macomb with Reverends Kelly Ingersoll and Terry Foland officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening at the church. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb where full military rites will be conducted by the Macomb American Legion and Macomb VFW.

Elizabeth Ann Chatterton
Elizabeth Ann Chatterton, 91, of Macomb, passed away at 7:42 a.m. Sunday, July 26, 2015 at the Elms Nursing Home in Macomb.
She was born on March 26, 1924 in Eldorado, Illinois to William E. and Martha Schmidt Hutton. She married
Robert Chatterton on December 6, 1946 in Monmouth. He survives.
Also surviving are her children, Pat (Patricia) Chatterton of Indianapolis, Indiana, Carol (Don) Allison of Macomb, Michael (Carmen) Chatterton of Norfolk, Virginia and Steven (Stephanie) Chatterton of Simpsonville, South Carolina; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one sister, Shirley (Jerry) English of Normal, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Herman, Wilber and John and sisters, Virginia and Ruth.
She received her Nursing Degree from Blessing Hospital School of Nursing. She worked at St. Francis Hospital from 1946 to 1960 and at MDH from 1960 until her retirement in 1987. Following her retirement she still continued to work part-time until 1999.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, VFW Auxiliary, I.N.A. and Blessing Alumni Association.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Macomb with Bishop Matt Thomas officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery in Macomb.
Memorials may be made to MDH Hospice, Elms Nursing Home or the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Gerald D. "Gary" Rigg
Gerald D. "Gary" Rigg, 67, of Industry, passed away at 7 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at his residence.
He was born on October 31, 1947 in Sciota to Percy and Eleanor Powell Rigg. He married
Cathy Hendricks Phillips on January 21, 1995 in Industry. She survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Tammy Mosher of Macomb, Kelly (Kelvin Cutkomp) Finch of Donnellson, Iowa, Amy (Ron) Hutcherson of Grapevine, Texas; three step-children, Laurie Smock of Canton, Bryce (Renee`) Phillips of Ingraham, and Joe (Chella) Phillips of Braidwood; 14 grandchildren, Christopher Cook, Brandon Finch, Amelia Finch, Bradon Finch, Ean Hutcherson, Easton Hutcherson, Tyler Smock, Skylee Smock, Levi Conner, Ascher Phillips, Urijah Phillips, Jordan Warren, Angelia Warren and Liam Phillips; two great-grandchildren, Aubri Finch and Zep Smock; one sister, Virginia "Ginny" (Mike) McCarthy of Galesburg and one niece, Wendi (Willis) Queen of Galesburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Gary grew up in Sciota and moved to Industry in 1993. He was a self-employed contractor. He enjoyed making wooden craft gifts for his family for Christmas presents. He did lots of charity work for Habitat for Humanity and was always willing to help. He was an avid animal lover, taking in strays and building them shelter. He loved his African Gray Parrot "Charlie" who misses him greatly.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb. Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Industry Fire and Rescue.
Francis Lee Terhune
Francis Lee Terhune, 85, of Macomb, passed away at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at the Elms Nursing Home in Macomb.
He was born on August 5, 1929 in Springfield to Francis Lee, Sr. and Nelly Savage Terhune.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Macomb on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 3 p.m., with a celebration of Lee’s life to follow at the VFW, 1200 East Jefferson Street in Macomb at 5 p.m.
Lee graduated from Macomb High School in 1947, and earned a B.S. in Education from Western Illinois University in 1951. He taught chemistry and math at Blandinsville High School while serving in the National Guard, before being drafted into the Army in 1952. He married
June Lois Harris of Duluth, Minnesota, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Macomb on October 12, 1952. June and Lee then moved to Santa Barbara, California, where they lived while Lee was undergoing basic training before shipping out to Korea. Lee served overseas for 11 months, attaining the rank of Master Sargeant, and receiving the Korean Service Medal, the UN Service Medal, and the National Defense Medal. His service record notes that his "secondary civilian occupation’ was bartending, a field in which he was an acknowledged expert, as it drew on both his training in chemistry and his gregarious nature.
Lee’s two daughters were born in California, and he began his career in sales of industrial chemicals there. His career path then took him back East, first to Chicago briefly and then to New York City, where he worked for 13 years, commuting by train daily from the family’s home in Westport, Connecticut, in 1979, work took him South, first to Salisbury, North Carolina, and then Severna Park, Maryland, which was his home base for extensive international travel. After June’s death in 2000, he returned to Macomb in 2002 to live near his dear friend, Barbara Heaton. In Macomb he enjoyed reuniting with many friends, traveling with Barb, and visiting with family.
Throughout his life, he had many varied interests, including golf, sailing, cooking, gardening, and traveling. He was also an avid reader and greatly enjoyed doing the New York Times crossword puzzle.
Survived by his daughters, Francine (Thomas V. Loran III) of Berkeley, California and Karen of Takoma Park, Maryland; his four grandchildren, Brennan, Kelsey and Shauna Terhune-Cotter; and Henry Loran; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his older brother, Louis Terhune and his younger sister, Rosemary Simmons.
The family especially thanks Debbie Forman for her dedicated, thoughtful and compassionate care of Lee during his last years, as well as the kind and caring staff at the Elms.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations in Lee’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of America or the Macomb Public Library.
At his request, his body was donated to science.
Marjorie Gordon
Marjorie Gordon, 85, of Blandinsville, passed away at 8:06 p.m. Friday, July 3, 2015 at Wesley Village in Macomb. She enjoyed good health until the last 8 weeks during which time she was diagnosed as having cancer.
Marjorie was born on September 12, 1929 to John Alexander and Olive Eva Myers Ceder at home in rural Blandinsville. She was united in marriage to James Lloyd Gordon on April 4, 1954 in Blandinsville. He preceded her in death on April 5, 1995.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, Phyllis Jean Gordon and her brother, Eldon Ceder.
Marjorie was a lifelong resident of Blandinsville where she was a farm housewife. She enjoyed doing plastic canvas needlepoint, collecting cookbooks and going to Day Health. She had been a member of Blandinsville II Home Extension.
Marjorie was a member of the Argyle Bible Church and was a 1948 graduate of Blandinsville High School.
She is survived by two children, John Owen Gordon of Macomb and Eva Marie (Dale) Watkins of Sciota.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Blandinsville with Reverend Samuel Kostreva officiating. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with family receiving friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glade City cemetery in Blandinsville.
