Mrs. Florence McGeath
Graveside service and burial for Mrs. Florence McGeath, 79, of Fort Smith, who died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2000, in Arkoma, Okla., was at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, at the Kendall cemetery near Clarksville. Arrangements were under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers were Chris McGeath, Jesse Rodger, Ed Kilgore, Joe Springer, Len Hale and Tom Wells.
She was the widow of Jack S. McGeath and a retired brazier and welder at Whirlpool Corporation.
She is survived by one son, Jimmy McGeath of Fort Smith; two sisters, Alvina Graves of Longview, Texas, and Vinnie Maroney of Malvern; one grandson, Chris McGeath of Fort Smith; and one great-grandson, William McGeath of Fort Smith.
Hugh Edward Neal
Hugh Edward Neal, 96, of Winkelman, Ariz., brother of Gertrude Barr and Jessie Mae Brown of Clarksville, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000, in North Side Medical Center in Tucson, Ariz.
He was a native of Crawford County, son of the late Lee Edward and Annie Gertrude Neal, former resident of Hagarville, farmer, rancher and U. S. mail carrier.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Betty Louise Bittick Neal; two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph D. and Nina Earllean Petie Neal of Winkelman, Ariz., and Daniel Lee and Jane L. Myers Neal of Valrico, Fla.; one stepdaughter and spouse, Louise (Beard) and Roger Miller of Kingsman, Ariz.; two other sisters, Irene Wiley of Searcy and Annie Quinton of Eufaula, Okla.; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service was held Sunday, Jan. 23.
James K. Patterson
James K. Patterson, 56, of Ozark died Friday, Jan. 28, 2000, in a Fort Smith hospital.
He was a native of Yale, son of the late Gussie Patterson, and a self-employed truck driver.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bobbie Patterson; one daughter, Susan Patterson of Clarksville; one son, James Kenneth Patterson of Ozark; mother, Eula Mae Stewart Patterson of Ozark; six sisters, Ruby Bradshaw and Frankie Smith, both of Greenland, Betty Pritchard of Mulberry, Robeardia Wilburn of West Point, Miss., Phillis Miller of Leon, Okla., and Brenda Winton of Bonanza; and five brothers, Billy Patterson of Leslie, Larry Patterson and Ronnie Patterson, both of Ozark, Lonnie Patterson of Evansville, and Phillip Patterson of Alma.
A memorial service will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, at Shaffer Funeral Home in Ozark.

Mrs. Neta Jean
Mrs. Neta Jean, 79, of Clarksville died Monday, Jan. 31, 2000, in San Antonio, Texas.
She was a daughter of the late Elam R. and Elizabeth N. Burkhart Lewis, widow of John T. Jean Jr., secretary, and member of the Stillwell Bible Baptist Church.
Survivors include one sister, Ora Faye Green of San Antonio, Texas; two nieces, Charlotte Green and Melanie Wetherell, both of San Antonio, Texas; two nephews and spouse, Michael and Suzanne Green of Garden Ridge, Texas, and David Green of San Antonio, Texas.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, at the Stillwell Bible Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Goodman officiating.
Burial will be in Stillwell cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Alfreda H. Zach
Alfreda Henrietta Axford Zach, 92, of Clarksville died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008, at Clarksville Convalescent Home.
She was a native of Pierre, S. D., daughter of the late Alfred and Clara Axford, widow of Elmer Zach, Lutheran, graduate of Plainview (Nebraska) High School and Reynolds School of
Cosmetology in Norfolk, co-owner and operator of a hardware store in Plainview, Neb., until her retirement, former beautician, avid gardener, and was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathryn Collins, one granddaughter, Shana Zach, a sister, Dorothea Foster, and a brother, Henry Axford.
Survivors include one daughter, Marilynn Zach and husband, Craig Knecht, of Bedford, Wyo.; one son, Lowell Zach and wife, Andra, of Clarksville; and two grandchildren, George Collins of Omaha, Neb., and Steve Casselman of Deer Lake, Minn.; two great-grandsons; one sister, Clara Luhr of Cherokee Village.
Funeral will be at Zion Lutheran Church in Plainview, Neb., on Friday, Feb. 15 with burial in the Pleasant View cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Steve Casselman, George Collins, Jim Doggett, Bob Garrison, Dave Zach, and Mark Zach. Honorary pallbearer will be Jeff Luschen.
Local arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Ann Pitts
Ann Pitts, 90, of Clarksville died Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, at her home.
She was a native of Matthews, Mo., daughter of the late Richard and Mary Johns Pyland, widow of Robert S. Pitts, member of the First United Methodist Church, and employee of South Park Restaurant for several years.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Jo Summers of Enid, Okla.; one stepdaughter-in-law, Cynthia Pitts of Little Rock; three grandchildren, Randy Summers and wife, Suzanne, of Lindsay, Okla., and Kelly Nave and Penny Shepard, both of Enid, Okla.; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Charles Burton officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.
Pallbearers were Huie Bird, Dan Cogan, Joe Hamilton, Craig Summers, Dylan Nave, and Tim Prince.
Dorothy E. Critcher
Dorothy Ellen Critcher, 85, of Lamar, formerly of Grubbs, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008, at Lamar.
She was a native of Rokoshe, Okla., daughter of the late Frank and Melinda Maude Sims Ragains, widow of Joseph Daniel Critcher, retired Grubbs School District employee after 20 years of service, of the Church of God faith, and was preceded in death by one daughter, Betty Anschultz; one grandchild, Carey Daniel Fuel; one brother, Frank Edward Ragains; and four sisters, Elizabeth Ward, Katherine Demmitt, Emma Lou Sterling, and Margaret Hines.
She is survived by four sons, Tommy Critcher and wife, Shirley, of Gold Hill, Ore., Jerry Critcher and wife, Debbie, of Newark, Jack Critcher and wife, Vickie, of Batesville, and Mike Critcher and wife, Terri, of Grubbs; five daughters, Linda Fuel of Texas City, Texas, Jo Ellen Wilkins of Clarksville, Donna Gann and husband, Doug, of Morganza, La., Kathy Johnson of Newport, and Martha Pelley of Newark; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, at Jackson's Newport Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hoover Lewis officiating. Burial was in Ballew's Chapel cemetery at Grubbs.
Active pallbearers were Brian Anschultz, Brad Johnson, Jacob Critcher, Denzil Griffin, Dean Vosburg, and Herschel Kagen.
Honorary pallbearers were Matt Critcher, Kenny Anschultz, Doug Gann, Tanner Spradling, Jordan Pelley, Zachary Anschultz, Bill Fletcher, Luke Sterling, Charles Sterling, Ervin Sterling, John Ragains, Jack Ragains, and R. K. Anschultz.
Eric D. Eldridge
Eric Dylan Eldridge, 16, of Lamar died Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, at Johnson Regional Medical Center from injuries sustained in an ATV accident.
He was a tenth grade student at Lamar High School and member of Cabin Creek Baptist Church in Lamar.
Survivors include his parents, Gary Alan Eldridge Sr. and Ronda Eldridge of Lamar; one sister, Melanie Eldridge of the home; two brothers, Gary Alan Eldridge Jr. and Nicholas Eldridge, both of the home; and grandparents, Agnes Eldridge of Arizona and Yvonne Koester of Hartman.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at Cabin Creek Baptist Church in Lamar with Rev. Doug Woods officiating.
Pallbearers will be Gary Eldridge Jr., Toby Pelts, Terry Dewinter and Brock O'Neal.
The body will be cremated.
