Emma Lea Cordry

Emma Lea Cordry, 61, of Clarksville died Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith.
She was a native of Batson and a retired florist and beautician.
Survivors include her husband, Arthur Cordry; two daughters, Linda Hylton and Frances Pentzer, both of Clarksville; mother, Vivian Hudson of Clarksville; father, Kendall Dixon of Clarksville; one sister, Sherri Sexton of Clarksville; three brothers, Rick Hudson of North Little Rock and Lee Dixon and Steve Dixon, both of Kansas; and six grandchildren, Jessica Powers, Brittany Vaught, Kaitlin Hylton, Logan Pentzer, Sherri Pentzer, and Joston Pentzer, all of Clarksville.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 2, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jim Goodman officiating. Burial was in Stillwell cemetery.
Pallbearers were Tom Sexton, Phillip Holland, Shawn Pentzer, Aaron Sexton, Shane Sexton, Gene Raible, Jerry Cordry, Darrell Johnson, David Kuebler and Jerry Cordry Jr.

Eula I. Mills

Eula I. Mills, 80, of North Little Rock died Thursday, May 31, 2001, at Baptist Memorial Medical Center in North Little Rock.
A native of Pope County, she was a daughter of the late George W. and Ida Eakin Johnson and member of the Union Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Archie Mills; two daughters and one son-in-law, Jane and Skinny Crouse of Camden and Lenora Mills of North Little Rock; one son, Dwayne Mills of North Little Rock; three sisters-in-law, Martha Patterson and Lois McCarley, both of Clarksville, and Hazel Black of Banning, Calif.; and three grandchildren, Mark Crouse of Garland, Texas, and Kimberly Crouse and Rebecca Crowder, both of Camden.
Graveside services and burial were at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 2, at Oakland cemetery with Rev. Jim Oliver officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Hurshel E. Smith

Hurshel Elmer Smith, 63, of Clarksville died Monday, June 4, 2001, at North Logan Mercy Hospital.
He was an employee of Acme Brick, Pentecostal, and son of the late Newt J. and Virgie Nuckols Smith.
Survivors include his widow, Willa Faye Fetters Smith; one daughter, Sharon Arbaugh of Olney, Ill.; two sons, William Smith of Lamar and Norman Smith of Clarksville; three sisters, Lillie Dukes of Dyer, Martha Woods of Springdale, and Brenda Barens of Rogers; four brothers, McKinley Smith of West Fork, Newt Smith Jr. of Clarksville, Leon Smith of Lamar, and David Smith of Hartman; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial will be in Minnow Creek cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Don Carey, Phil Woodard, Earnie Duvall, Larry White, Vick Gilbert, and Jimmy Hutchins.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Joyce, Varnel King and Randy McCloud.

James Henderson

James (Jim) Henderson, 60, of Springdale died Saturday, May 19, 2001, at Springdale.
A native of Hope, he was a son of the late John Lloyd Henderson, a 1958 graduate of Lamar High School, graduate of the University of the Ozarks, member of Victory Family Worship where he served as a deacon, taught public school at El Dorado and Springdale for 31 years, drove a school bus for 37 years, and was preceded in death by one son, Keith Ryan Henderson.
Survivors include his widow, Jean (Juckett) Henderson; one son, Lyn Henderson of Springdale; one daughter, Angela Malone of Texas; mother, Marie Louise Yates Henderson of Lamar; brother, Bob Henderson of Berryville; one sister, Carolyn Duvall of Lamar; and one granddaughter, Haleigh Henderson of Springdale.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Coffman and Rev. John Kopta officiating. Burial was in Elm Springs cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Don Clark, Tim Coffman, Arlie Evans, Ron Magner, Roy James, and Jim Galloway.
Honorary pallbearers were Springdale School bus drivers.

Mary M. Vaughn

Mary Magdaleen Vaughn, 79, of Ozone died Saturday, June 2, 2001, at her home.
She was a retired laundry and dry cleaning employee, daughter of the late Charley Vernon and Maud Elizabeth Carroll Fetterhoff, and widow of Joe C. Vaughn.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Helen and James Edgmon of Ozone, Ann and Argie Harderson of Oark, and Linda and Junior Garrett of Hot Springs; one son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Janice Vaughn of Clarksville; three sisters, Rachel Rylee of Hartman, Larraine Carney of Hermiston, Ore., and Ireatha Hammons of Tulsa, Okla.; three brothers, Virgil and Albert Fetterhoff of Hermiston, Ore., and Clarence Fetterhoff of Sulphur, Okla.; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, at the Salus Free Holiness Church with Rev. Jerry Wood and Rev. Roger Reid officiating.
Burial was in the Case cemetery at Fallsville under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Eddie Kimbriel, Quenton Ramsey, Ken Harderson, Dale Nelson, Stanley Edgmon, and Donnie Garrett.
Honorary pallbearers were Jody Harderson, Charles Harderson, Jamey Edgmon, Jason Vaughn, Daniel Vaughn, Chad Garrett, and Brian Garrett.

Shelli S. Lamberson

Shelli Stewart Lamberson, 26, of Russellville died Saturday, June 2, 2001, at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock.
A native of Russellville, she was a cum laude graduate of Arkansas Tech University, received a master's degree from University of Central Arkansas, and was employed as a psychological examiner with the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville and Dover Public School. She was a member of the Arkansas School Psychologists Association, National Association of School Psychologists, the West Side Church of Christ, and worked in autism research and therapy. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, John and Lucille Willis; and paternal grandparents, Vernon and Inez Stewart.
Survivors include her husband, Chris Lamberson; parents, Vernon and Anna Jean Willis Stewart of Dover; one brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Sherry Stewart of Farmington; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sharla and Eric Hartzell of Dover and Kelly and Tim Whitson of Fayetteville; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dale and Lynda Lamberson of Dover; three nieces, Shelby and Gracie Hartzell of Dover and Ashley Brewer of Fayetteville; two nephews, Jake Brewer of Fayetteville and Wade Lamberson of Russellville; one brother-in-law and spouse, Kyle and Kelli Lamberson of Russellville; grandmother-in-law, Lucille Vines of Dover; great-aunt and great-uncle, Harold and Juanita Willis of Free-
mont, Calif.; two uncles and spouse, Johnny L. and Dorothy Willis of Tacoma, Wash., and James Willis of Russellville; and two aunts and spouses, Etta and Eugene King of Fort Smith and Evelyn and Ross Clifton of Van Buren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, at the West Side Church of Christ with Jeff Richardson and Bruce Grice officiating.
Burial was in the Minnow Creek cemetery under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
Active pallbearers were Kyle Lamberson, Corey Brownfield, Shawn Modersohn, Eric Hartzell, Shane Helm, and Tim Singleton.
Honorary pallbearers were Harold Willis, James Willis, Johnny Willis, Mike Lee, Rick Smith, Garry Beavers, John James, Stuart Clay, Ellen Kennedy Marsh, faculty and staff of Jones Learning Center at the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, and faculty of Dover Public Schools.

Willie Cotton Jr.

Willie Cotton Jr., 80, of Clarksville died Friday, June 1, 2001, at Clarksville Convalescent Home.
He was a native of Clarksville and retired Greenville Tube Corporation employee.
Survivors include his widow, Naomi Cotton; three daughters, Frances Jean O'Nel and Dorothy Ann Frison, both of Portland, Ore., and Alice Arthur of Clovis, N. M.; one son, Willie Cotton III of Paola, Kan.; four sisters, Ella Reed of Dardanelle, and Lois Wrye, Palace Lou Cotton, and Shirley Alston, all of Clarksville; two brothers, C. H. Cotton of Fort Smith and Leroy Cotton of Clarksville; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, McKinley and Beatrice Finley of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and one sister-in-law, Leona Reed of Detroit, Mich.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 7, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. William Hickman officiating. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Sam Scott, York Sims, Patrick Baker, Claude May, Clifford May, and Josh Randal.
Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Williams, Thirl Willis, K. P. Heidelberg, Harold Monroe, Andy May, Danny Cowell, and John West.
