Romeo Locknar

Romeo Frank (Bud) Locknar, 70, of Scranton died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2006.
A native of Pine Bluff, he was a son of the late Romeo and Mary Kovac Locknar, U. S. Army Captain veteran stationed in Korea, France, and served in Vietnam, employee of Cloyes Gear in Paris, and was preceded in death by one sister, Romona Cornwell.
Survivors include his wife, Billie J. Lancaster Locknar; one daughter, Cynthia Savage and husband, Philip, of Charleston; one son, Michael Locknar and wife, Janice, of Fort Smith; two stepdaughters, Yolonda Felterman and husband, Mark, of Clarksville and Bobbie Fox and husband, Richard, of Scranton; ten grandchildren. Lance Fox and wife, Tamara, Morgan and Trinity Fox of Scranton, Sabrina and Stefan Savage of Charleston, Ryan and Brennon Felterman of Clarksville, and Eric, Brandon and Garrett Locknar of Fort Smith; and two great-grandchildren, Blake and Baley Fox of Scranton.
Rosary was at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, at Roller Chapel in Paris. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, at St. Meinrad Catholic Church at Prairie View with burial in St. Meinard cemetery at Prairie View.
The military will serve as active pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lance Fox, Ryan Felterman, Matt Churchman, Stefan Savage, Chad Beasley, Eric Locknar, Brennon Felterman, Brandon Locknar, and Garrett Locknar.

Clara George

Clara George, 67, of Mansfield, La., formerly of Clarksville, died Nov. 11, 2002, at Willis-Knightin South Hospital in Shreveport, La. Burial was at the Mitchell cemetery in Mitchell, La., with Mike McConnaughey officiating.
Pallbearers were Walter Beck, John Allen Bailey, Daniel Dunlap, David Ryals, George Burr, and Joe George.
Survivors include her husband, Ray George; three daughters and one son-in-law, Sandy Miles of Nashville, Tenn., and Kathy Reece and Beverly and Billy Hardin, all of Clarksville; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Charles George of Elm Creek, Neb., and John and Joyce George of Clarksville; three sisters, Dorothy Gamlin and Marjorie Paul of Converse, La., and Francis Jones of Mooringsport, La.; one brother, William Ryals of Converse, La.; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Dale A. Freeman Jr.

Dale Allen Freeman Jr., 27, of Russellville, son of Dale Allen and Deborah Faye Freeman of Lamar, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2002, at University of Arkansas Medical Sciences in Little Rock.
He was an employee of Bowden Specialities.
Other survivors include his widow, Crystal Lynn Manns Freeman; two daughters, Destiny Lynn Freeman and Chasity Danielle Freeman, both of the home; two sons, Chad Allen Freeman and David Scott Freeman, both of the home; and two sisters, Tearesa Ann Moore of Pottsville and Marsha Faye Wade of Russellville.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, at Roller-Cox Chapel with burial in Annie's Chapel cemetery.
Pallbearers were Michael Collier, James Moore, Buddy Ellis, Sami Ross, Donnie Davis, and Tommy Perrin.

Deborah D. Perlas

Deborah Lee Dawson Perlas, 45, of Union City, Calif., sister of Ernest Dawson of Hunt, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2002, in Union City, Calif.
She was a native of Tulsa, Okla., daughter of the late Homer and Wilma Dell Walker Dawson, and a former resident of Clarksville.
Other survivors include her husband, Tony Perlas; two sons, Tony Perlas Jr. and Raymond Perlas, both of Union City, Calif.; and one sister, Lindall Woodall of Scranton.
Services were held in Union City, Calif.

Lela Jutuan Robinson

Lela Jutuan Robinson, 59, of Clarksville died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002, at AMI St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.
She was a member of Twin Oaks Baptist Church in Clarksville, special education teacher at Oark School, daughter of the late Irvin Dean Culp, and was preceded in death by one brother, Lorell Culp.
Survivors include her husband, Marion Wesley Robinson; five daughters, Latuana Burnett of Berryville, Kathy Hern and Shawndra Smith, both of Clarksville, Katrina Hansen of Lamar and Juanita Rosel of Knoxville; two sons, Barry Russell of Pea Ridge and John Robinson of Hartman; mother, Mabadean Howard Culp of Hagarville; two sisters, Nancy Reece of Ozone and Marilyn Burris of Welch, Okla.; one brother, Preston Culp of Peck, Kan.; and 21 grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Ron Owens officiating. Burial was in Harmony cemetery.
Pallbearers were Gary Wilson, Troy Vaughn, Doyle Lawson, Lawrence Richards, Philip Rosel, and Don Anderson.

Lula Marie Johnson

Lula Marie Fletcher Johnson, 71, of Clarksville died Friday, Nov. 29, 2002.
She was a retired cook, member of Lamar Baptist Church, daughter of the late William L. (Bill) and Grace L. Thornburg Fletcher, widow of Ernest Johnson, and preceded in death by one sister, Beverly Murphy; one brother, Ernest Fletcher; one granddaughter, Cassidy Sue Johnson; and one great-grandson, Nicholas Johnson.
She is survived by five sons, Bill Johnson and Dennis Johnson, both of Clarksville, David Johnson of Dardanelle, Dan Johnson of Wake Village, Texas, and Ernie Johnson of Whidbey Island, Wash.; two sisters, Venita Clark of Morena Valley, Calif., and Mae Keaton of Springdale; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, at Lamar cemetery with Rev. Ira Taylor officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Lee Davis Lewis

Lee Davis Lewis, 80, of Clarksville died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002, at his home.
He was a native of Vallecito, Calif., son of the late Hall Marion and Cloe Davis Lewis, minister with the Jehovah's Witnesses, graduate of Bretharte High School in Angels Camp, Calif., and a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his widow, Peggy Lewis; two daughters, Kathy Jackson of Clarksville and Leann Paty of Russellville; and two granddaughters, Tanya Mix of Clarksville and Jasimine Paty of Concord, Calif.
A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses Church.
The body was cremated.
Local arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Leona B. Smith

Leona B. Smith, 71, of Coal Hill died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, at her home.
She was a native of Salt Lake City, Utah, daughter of the late Floyd Randall and Violet Shephard Cooper, and widow of Vernon D. Smith.
She is survived by two daughters, Julia Ann Anderson of Utah and Marie Smith of California; three sons, Brent Reich and Vernon Douglas Smith Jr., both of Coal Hill, and Dennis A. Smith of Altus; one sister, Lawanna Davis of Arizona; one brother, Wayne Cooper; and five grandchildren.
The body was cremated.
Local arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
