Jimmie D. Lovell

Jimmie Doyle Lovell, 46, of Clarksville died Saturday, April 6, 2002.
A native of Clinton, he was a son of the late Doyle Lovell, truck driver, and member of the Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his widow, Brenda Lovell; two sons, Dusty Lovell of Lamar and Don Lovell of Clarksville; one stepson, Charlie Shull of Clinton; one stepdaughter, Tracy Drake of Springfield; mother, Imogene Bryson Lovell of Clinton; two brothers, Tommy Lovell of Clinton and Steve Lovell of Siloam Springs; and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, at Roller McNutt Chapel in Clinton with John Price and Randy Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in Pee Dee cemetery.

Michael F. Farrell

Michael Flagg Farrell, 62, of Lake Charles, La., died Monday, April 1, 2002, in Lake Charles, La.
He was a native of San Antonio, Texas, earned his undergraduate degree in instrumental music from the University of Southern Mississippi, a master's degree from the University of Illinois in choral music and a doctorate in choral music from the conservatory at the University of Missouri at Kansas City.
He was a conductor, published composer, clinician and teacher. He was included in Who's Who in Music and Who's Who in Education. He taught music and had church choirs in Mississippi, Illinois, Missouri, Kentucky, Arkansas, and Louisiana.
He was director of choral activities at the University of the Ozarks for 14 years and was instrumental in starting the annual celebration of Lessons and Carols in Raymond Munger Memorial Chapel.
He retired from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, La.
He was a lifetime member of the American Choral Directors Association, Music Educators National Conference, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, Phi Delta Kappa and Sigma Nu Fraternity.

Maudie Leo Garrison

Maudie Leo Garrison of Lamar died Monday, April 1, 2002, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
A daughter of the late Hinton and Amy Alice Turner Harmon, she was a native of Lamar, widow of Jeff Garrison, and was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Mack Garrison.
Survivors include one son, Bobby Garrison of Lamar; one daughter, Alice Pearson of Russellville; three sisters, Elna Ragsdale of Clarksville, Bessie Killough of Lamar, and Sue Nowotny of Richmond, Calif.; four grandchildren, Jack Pearson of Little Rock, James Pearson of Russellville, Jeff Garrison of Clarksville and Tina Neidhart of Bella Vista; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
The body was cremated.
Arrangements were under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

Paul Lynn Garrison

Paul Lynn Garrison, 85, of Lamar died Saturday, April 6, 2002, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
A native of Bayou Meto, he was a son of the late William Lyons and Hallie Scott Garrison, member of Faith Full Gospel Church, retired carpenter and was preceded in death by five brothers, Leo, Lance, Clyde, Everett, and Scott Garrison.
Survivors are three daughters, Sherry Hammon of Oark, Pamela White of Peoria, Ariz., and Kimberly Garrison of Lamar; one son, Garry Garrison of Lamar; four sisters, Dora Jewell Statts of England, Jane Hahs of Stuttgart, Faye Miller of Wheatley, and Cleo Bright of Macon, Mo.; two brothers, Fred Garrison of Lonoke and Johnny Garrison of Sterling, Ill.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Thomas Chenowith officiating. Burial will be in Lamar cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Garry Garrison Jr., Glenn Garrison, Johnny Hammon, Justin White, Philip Maag, and Coy Hammons.

Vernice Wilson

Vernice Wilson, 83, of Sikeston, Mo., niece of Ada Morgan of Clarksville, died March 10, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
A native of Hagarville, she was a daughter of the late James H. and Orla Rowbotham Freed, and member of Shady Acres Church of Christ in Sikeston, Mo. She was preceded in death by one daughter, five brothers and two sisters.
Other survivors include her husband, Guy Wilson; two sons, Steven Wilson of Matthews, Mo., and James Wilson of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Mary McPherson of Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister, Lou Alice Walls of Fresno, Calif.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 14, at Nunnelle Funeral Chapel with Patrick Hogan officiating. Burial was at Memorial Park cemetery in Sikeston, Mo.
Pallbearers were James Cowger, Charles DeWitt, Joe Karnes, Billy Littleton, Boyd Raper, and Vernon Smith.

Johnnie Ruth Young

Johnnie Ruth Mount Edwards Young, 76, of Lamar died Tuesday, April 2, 2002, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
She was a retired factory employee, Baptist, daughter of the late John Thomas and Lillie Ruth Grice Mount, and widow of Henry Edwards and Charles Young.
She is survived by two daughters, Annie Ruth Buford of Lamar and Patricia Dykes of Conway; one son, James Eugene Edwards of Malvern; two sisters, Lillie Elmyra Webb of Guin, Ala., and Mary Jane Hanks of Anniston, Ala.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 6, at Roller-McNutt Chapel in Conway with a family member as the officiating minister.
Burial was in Hartje cemetery at Conway. Local arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Audley Scarborough Jr.

Martin Audley Scarborough Jr., 83, of Clarksville died Oct. 15, 1998, at M D Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas.
He was a son of the late Polly (Dunlap) and Martin Audley Scarborough Sr., graduate of Clarksville High School, The College of the Ozarks (now University of the Ozarks) and the St. Louis College of Pharmacy. During World War II he served in the United States Army Air Corps in Texas. He was in business with his father and brother at the Palace Drug Store until retirement in 1991.
He was a lifelong member, elder and deacon of the First Presbyterian Church in Clarksville, a member of the Shrine, Arkansas Pharmaceutical Association and 52-year member of Franklin Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Hudson Scarborough.
Survivors include two daughters, Sylvia Scarborough and Marion Thomas of Clarksville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Marjorie Scarborough and David and Dallas Scarborough; two grandchildren, Jason Papakostas and Miranda Thomas; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, at the Clarksville First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Lance Jones officiating.
Burial was in Oakland cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Jim Boyer, Bob Hardin, Ron Leonard, Kenneth Martin, Bill Stroupe, Edward Hudson, Jack Heflin, and Gary Hudson.
Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, P. O. Box 1068, Clarksville, AR 72830.

Mrs. Charlotte Kimbriel

Mrs. Charlotte Ann Kimbriel, 49, of Clarksville died Friday, Oct. 16, 1998, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a cook, waitress, Baptist, and daughter of the late Clarence Campbell.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Michael and Jean Ann Kimbriel and Aaron Kimbriel, all of Clarksville; mother, Mrs. Opal Campbell of Clarksville; two sisters, Maudie Armstrong of Fort Smith and Jerry King of Clarksville; three brothers, Jim Campbell of Clarksville, Wayne Campbell of Sherwood, and George Hampton of Fort Smith; seven nieces; five nephews; and one great-niece.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 19, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sam Howell officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.
Pallbearers were Rhett Butler, Lonnie Reynolds, Teddy Bohannon, Alfred West, Dell Montgomery, and Blue Mack Zeiler.
