James William Self
James William Self, 41, of Lamar, son of the late Beacher Self, died Tuesday, July 13, 1999, in DeSoto, Kan.
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Mary Self Robertson of Clarksville; two sisters, Betty Poindexter of Sallisaw, Okla., and Barbara Hill of Hector; three brothers, Darrell Self of Clarksville, Terry Self of Shawnee, Kan., and Roger Self of DeSoto, Kan.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, July 16, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in Holman cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Wayne Wilkins, John Roberson, Jim Bob Roberson, Billy Schell, Gary Roberson, and Aaron Self.
Honorary pallbearers were Raymond Kelly, Joey McCarrick, Danny Self, and Greg Mize.
Mrs. Louise M. Quick
Mrs. Louise M. Quick, 74 of Clarksville died Thursday, July 15, 1999, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Villa Grove, Ill., daughter of the late Charles and Louise Kleiss Eisenmenger, retired Johnson Regional Medical Center employee, and was preceded in death by three sisters, Viola Psfum, Delores Freifing and Marcella McCollum.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Quick; one daughter, Kathy Fredrikson of Longview, Ill.; one son, David Quick of Clarksville; one sister, Rita Anderson of Villa Grove, Ill.; and one grandchild, Regina Fredrikson of Longview, Ill.
Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Monday, July 19, at East Mount Zion cemetery with Rev. John Kindrix officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Leo O. Soerries
Leo O. Soerries, 63, of Odessa, Mo., died Sunday, July 4, 1999, at St. Joseph Health Center in Kansas City, Mo.
A native of Hartman, he was a son of the late Frank and Marie Soerries, a graduate of Hartman High School, and a former employee of KW Dart in Kansas City, Mo., and Garsite Refuelers Corporation in Kansas City, Kan.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Patty S. Soerries; four sons and daughters-in-law, David and Annette Soerries of Odessa, Mo., Scott and Jennifer Soerries of Fenton, Mo., Greg and Sandra Soerries of Oak Grove, Mo., and Mark and Amy Soerries of Lilburn, Ga.; two brothers, Raymond Soerries of New Hudson, Mich., and Roman Soerries of Claremore, Okla.; five sisters, Hilda Oberste of Barling, Leona Cronin of Brainard, Minn., Rita Lindsay of Oklahoma City, Okla., Rosemary Nitz of Atchinson, Kan., and Florence Wiederkehr of Tulsa, Okla., and five grandchildren, Jake, Kathryn, Kristina, Amber and Elizabeth Soerries.
Funeral mass was at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 8, at St. George's Catholic Church in Odessa, Mo., with Father Peter Savidge officiating.
Burial was in Odessa cemetery under the direction of Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home.

Leonard Zolliecoffer
Leonard George Zolliecoffer, 57, of Altus, brother of Edith Hutchison of Clarksville, died Saturday, July 10, 1999, at his home.
He was an electrician, Navy veteran, member of the Altus Pentecostal Church, native of Altus, son of the late George Zolliecoffer, and was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Rofkahr.
Other survivors include his widow, Mrs. Sharon Smith Zolliecoffer; one daughter, Mrs. Glenda Pope of Fort Smith; two sons, Keith of Fort Smith and James of Lemoore, Calif.; mother, Mrs. Louise Berry Zolliecoffer of Altus; three brothers, Cecil of Irving, Texas, Robert of Van Buren, and Johnny of Altus; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 13, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with Rev. Mark Woodall officiating. Burial was in Nichols Chapel cemetery.
Pallbearers were Keith Zolliecoffer, Mickey Zolliecoffer, Cecil Zolliecoffer, Johnny Zolliecoffer, Jimmy Hutchison Jr., and Gerald Rinke.
Nathaniel R. Stricklin
Nathaniel Reese Stricklin, infant son of Jerry Don and Laura Jeane Stricklin of Coal Hill, died Thursday, July 15, 1999, at AMI St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.
Other survivors include one brother, Gregory Sheldon Lee Stricklin of the home; grandparents, Elmer and Veryl Stricklin of Coal Hill and Dale and Kathy Dodge of Hartman; and great-grandparents, Kathryn Stricklin of Coal Hill, Charlene Dodge of Clarksville, and Gene and Nancy Strackbein of Hunt.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 17, at Hartman cemetery with Rev. Gerald Morris officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Mrs. Verna Strickland
Mrs. Verna Warren Strickland, 84, of Clarksville died Friday, July 16, 1999, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
A native of Oark, she was a daughter of the late Jasper N. and Ethel Atkins Case, member of the First Presbyterian Church, member of Clarksville Chapter No. 172 Order of the Eastern Star, past worthy matron of the Order of Eastern Star, member of Oark Grange, past state secretary of Arkansas State Grange, retired post master, member of retired post master's association, former school teacher, and was preceded in death by two stepsons, Robert Warren and Grant Warren.
She is survived by two daughters, Anna Fern Baskin of Clarksville and Wanda Faye Tolbert of Franklin, Tenn.; one sister, Josephine Baker of Wichita, Kan.; one brother, Jasper N. Case Jr. of Wichita, Kan.; six grandchildren, Kevin Baskin and Laura Baskin, both of Clarksville, Thad Tolbert of Birmingham, Ala., Paige Tolbert of Franklin, Tenn., Jan Warren of Kansas City, Mo., and Bob Warren of Houston, Texas; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, July 19, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Burley King officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.

Mrs. Wanda Lee Boze
Mrs. Wanda Lee Boze, 77, of Dover, died Friday, July 16, 1999, at AMI St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.
She was a native of Pope County, daughter of the late George and Hessie Shindle Shuffield, widow of Tillman Esco Boze, and member of the Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, June and Don Freeman of Lamar, Shiela and Jeff Byrum and Barbara Hallum, all of Dover; two brothers, George Shuffield and Billy Shuffield, both of Linden, Calif.; one sister, Doris Daniels of Dover; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, at the Gospel Lighthouse Pentecostal Church at Bull Frog Valley with Rev. Bob Freeman officiating.
Bural was in Owens cemetery under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service of Russellville.
Pallbearers were Jeff Byrum, Mike Freeman, Brian Roper, Mark Waldo, Brandon Whitworth, and Tom Nelson.
Jack L. Pittman
Jack L. Pittman, 73, of Hermitage, Tenn., died Thursday, July 15, 2004, at his home.
He was a former resident of Clarksville, where he was a member of Oakland Street Church and the American Legion, and was employed as a maintenance engineer at Clarksville Footwear.
He was a native of Chester, Ill., son of the late John Irvin and Roxie Ellen Tindall Pittman, Army veteran, and was preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Pittman.
Survivors include his widow, Barbara Jean Riddle Pittman; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Lee and Nancy Pittman of Nashville, Tenn., and Ronald Scott and Mickie Pittman of Leesville, La.; stepfather, George Layne of Murphysboro, Ill.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Beverly and Delaine Edwards and Sue and Terry Givens, all of Murphysboro, Ill.; and one grandchild, Marshall Lee Pittman.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 18, at the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in Rockwood, Ill., with Rev. Frank Vorhees Jr. officiating. Interment was in Ebenezer cemetery in Rockwood, Ill.
