Anthony Taylor
Anthony (Nick) Taylor, 48, of Little Rock, a native of Clarksville, died Wednesday, May 12, 2004.
He was a North Little Rock office manager and an ABC certified technician with The Snell Prosthetic and Orthotic Laboratory.
Survivors are his widow, Shay Taylor; parents, Howard and Dorcas Middleton Taylor of North Little Rock; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jimmy Taylor of Little Rock, and Chris and Lisa Taylor and Jason and Kristen Taylor, all of Sherwood; one stepdaughter, Dawna Felton of Little Rock; one brother, Dale Taylor of Little Rock; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 15, at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Rice officiating. Graveside services and burial followed at 2 p.m. at Oakland cemetery in Clarksville with Rev. Vernon Long officiating.
Pallbearers were Chris Keathley, Justin Baldwin, Tony Mills, Tommy Senteney, Billy Ferguson and John Merkley.
Beulah Tumbleson
Beulah Tumbleson, 91, died Tuesday, May 11, 2004, at Miner Nursing Center in Miner, Mo.
She was a native of Hagarville, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Elihu (Bethany McAlister) Jones Sr., widow of Victor Tumbleson, moved to Missouri in 1942 and then to Essex in 1967 and was a member of the Taylor General Baptist Church near Essex, Mo. She was preceded in death by two sons, Burl A. and Bill Tumbleson; four brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Wayne Tumbleson of Sikeston, Mo., Howard Ray Tumbleson of Albuquerque, N. M.; one daughter, Sharon Null of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; 16 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ira Jones and Elihu Jones Jr., both of Clarksville; three sisters, Eula Owen of Lamar, Iva Rushing of Clarksville and Earlene Davis of Russellville.
Funeral was at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 15, at the Mountain Home Freewill Baptist Church near Lamar. Burial was in the Minnow Creek cemetery under the direction of Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Mo.
Geraldine H. Fisher
Geraldine Houston Fisher, 80, of Oak Harbor, Wash., died Monday, May 10, 2004, at Careage of Whidbey in Coupeville, Wash.
A native of Hartman, she was a daughter of the late Jefferson Davis and Pearl Mae Wooden Houston, widow of George Ernest Fisher, former employee of a Van Buren furniture manufacturing plant, member of Pearl Harbor Survivors Auxiliary, and was preceded in death by one daughter, Edith Leilani Fisher; and two brothers, J. D. and Paul Odell.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret and Timothy Ninneman of Kent, Wash., and Ruth and George Alexander of Oak Harbor, Wash.; two brothers, Alva Houston and Maxie Don Houston, both of Fort Smith; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 15, at West Mount Zion cemetery near Hartman with Rev. William Wewers officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Kevin Dean Case
Kevin Dean Case, 42, of Charlottesville, Va., formerly of Fallsville, died Saturday, May 15, 2004, at the University Medical Center in Virginia.
He was a self-employed carpenter and son of the late Eldean Timms Case.
Survivors include two daughters, Katy Qualls of Clarksville and Samantha Muller of San Antonio, Texas; father, Dean Case of Catalpa; four sisters, Missy Bridges and Michelle Case, both of Clarksville, and Carla Burns and Debra Kame, both of Oklahoma; one brother, Travis Timms of Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Mikaela Qualls and Joshua Qualls, both of Clarksville, and Kristen Muller of San Antonio, Texas.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 21, at the Oark Community Church. Burial will be in Oark cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Stepp, Odell Boen, Roger Bridges, Cory Bridges, Carl Easley, and Terry Stewart.
Minnis L. Dunlap Jr.
Minnis Lee Dunlap Jr., 59, of Sherwood died Monday, May 17, 2004, at his home.
A native of Clarksville, he was a son of the late Minnis Lee Dunlap Sr., member of Apostolic Church in North Little Rock, ABF Freight Systems employee, and was preceded in death by his grandparents, Anna and Bert Reynolds and Mamie and Oliver Dunlap; and one brother, David Bruce Dunlap Sr.
Survivors include his widow, Judy Gardner Dunlap; two sons, David Lee and R. D. Dunlap; two daughters-in-law, Julie Dunlap and Alisha Miller Dunlap; mother and stepfather, Faye and Harvey Severn; five sisters, Linda Shep-
herd, Rita DeNike, Anna Myers, Barbara Torres and Namal Adair; five brothers, Danny, Charlie, Leslie, Wade and Michael Dunlap; three grandchildren, Dalton Lee, Preston Dayne and Cassadee Miller Dunlap; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 19, at Apostolic Church in North Little Rock with Rev. Walt Hollis officiating. Graveside services and burial will follow at 4:30 p.m. at the Hess cemetery in western Johnson County under the direction of Roller-Owens Funeral Home of North Little Rock.
Nana Lou Hodges
Nana Lou Hodges, 76, of Dexter, Mo., died Tuesday, May 11, 2004, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center in Dexter, Mo.
She was a native of Clarksville, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Elihu (Bethany McAlister) Jones Sr., attended the First Assembly of God Church in Dexter, Mo., and was preceded in death by one son, Darrell Hodges; four brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Hodges; two sons, Doyal Hodges of St. Louis, Mo., and Patrick Hodges of Overland Park, Kan.; two daughters, Paula Ulmer of Treadwell, N. Y., and Katrina Hatfield of Fenton, Mo.; two brothers, Ira Jones and Elihu Jones Jr., both of Clarksville; three sisters, Eula Owen of Lamar, Iva Rushing of Clarksville and Earlene Davis of Russellville; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 15, at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home Chapel in Dexter, Mo., with Rev. Mike Kohlbaker officiating. Burial was in the Morgan Memorial Park cemetery.
Ray M. Callahan
Ray M. Callahan, 56, of Lamar died Tuesday, May 11, 2004, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired truck driven, son of the late James J. Callahan, and of the Seventh Day Adventist Faith. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Dian Anglin, Maedean Rainey and Cathy Callahan; and two brothers, Randy Callahan and Dalton Callahan.
Survivors include his widow, Anna Kay Johnston Hook Callahan; daughter and son-in-law, Euna Irene (Missy) Callahan and Lee Wagner of Clarksville; mother, Irene Fetters Callahan of Lamar; two sisters, Jan Marlow of Clarksville and Liz Smith of Lamar; and five brothers, J. D. Callahan of Batson, Bill Callahan of Arizona, Doug Callahan of Clarksville, Bob Callahan of Ratcliff, and Jeff Callahan of Ozone.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 15, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Melvin Bankhead and Rev. Dale Lantz officiating. Burial was in Lamar cemetery.
Active pallbearers were J. D. Callahan, Bob Callahan, Jeff Callahan, Ronnie Smith Jr., Jeffrey Callahan, and Dwight Cowell.
Honorary pallbearers were Bill Callahan, Ronnie Smith Sr., Cecil Marlow, Troy Wise, Steve Fetters, Dewey Marlow and J. D. Marlow.
Rosalie G. Willey
Rosalie Garrett Willey, 77, of Clarksville died Friday, May 14, 2004, at her home.
She was a daughter of the late Joel and Bonnie Flake Garrett, 1944 graduate of Clarksville High School, attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville where she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Clarksville where she served as an elder, president of the Presbyterian Women's Association, sang in the choir and volunteered for many years at the Presbyterian Thrift Shop. She served as president of Chapter Q PEO, was a member of the Clarksville Supper Club and Ladies Wednesday Bridge and spent the last several years delivering meals on wheels for the Johnson County Senior Activity Center.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Stewart Willey; two daughters and sons-in-law, Deanna and Ewell Welch of North Little Rock and Beverly and Doug Miller of Rogers; and four grandchildren, Wesley Stewart Welch of Little Rock, Natalie Rose Sims and husband, David, of North Little Rock, Stephanie Miller of Nashville, Tenn., and Stacey Miller of Rogers.
Funeral was at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 17, at the First Presbyterian Church in Clarksville with Rev. Lance Jones officiating.
Burial was in Oakland cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Keith Lewis, Jimmy Harold Lewis, Phillip Truman Jacobs, Freeman Wish, Dr. Jack Patterson, Jerry Cacy, Kenneth Butler and Norman Butler.
