Hazel Johnson
Hazel Johnson, 92, of Clarksville died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
She was a member of First Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star, daughter of the late Jasper and Leona Lee Clinton, and widow of Whitney Johnson.
She is survived by one brother, Howard Clinton of Hunt; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Dr. Robert Brown officiating. Burial was in Liberty Hill cemetery.
Pallbearers were W. J. Rimmer, Dayne Phillips, Jim Helms, Wendell Lee, Burley King, and Don Brown.
Johnny N. Anglin
Johnny Norman Anglin, 57, of Hartman died Sunday, March 3, 2002, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a Baptist, carpenter, and son of the late Johnnie F. Buchanan Anglin Ogden.
Survivors are his widow, Elizabeth Harris Anglin; one daughter, Marsha Ralph of Clarksville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Johnny R. and Dawn Anglin of Hartman and Wayne and Dana Anglin of Clarksville; father, Ruben Anglin of Clarksville; three sisters, Shirley Emerson of Hodges, Ala., Laura Nicks of Ozark, and Linda McMahan of Clarksville; four brothers, Harvey Anglin of Knoxville, Lee Anglin of Pea Ridge, Jerry Anglin of Savannah, Ga., and Francis Anglin of Hartman; and eight grandchildren, Courtney, Kristen, Cassidy, Whitney, Logan, Cody, Leigha, and Tessa.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, at Hartman Baptist Church with Rev. Sam Howell officiating.
Burial will be in Mt. Vernon cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Junior Harris, Ted Young, Todd Anglin, Frank Poyner, Carroll Sherrill, and Alan Ashlock.
Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Hern, Brian Harris, and Keith McMahan.
John Goad
John Goad, 84, of Lamar died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002, at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith.
He was an entertainer, son of the late Comnie and Tindall Grace Goad, and was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Goad.
The body was cremated.
Local arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
John P. Young
John Pershing Young, 61, of Alton, Ill., father of Becky Madewell of Lamar, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2002, in Alton, Ill.
He was a baker, son of the late August and Bonnie Young, and was preceded in death by one son, Nathan Young; one sister, Mabel Duncan; and two brothers, George Young and Clyde Young.
Survivors include his widow, Priscilla Young; one other daughter, Hope Young of Alton, Ill.; three sisters, Bertha Young, Gladys Troxell and Nancy Young, all of Little Rock; three brothers, Ray Young and Junior Young, both of Clarksville, and Harvey Young of Coal Hill; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was Wednesday, Feb. 27, in Alton, Ill.
Margaret A. Massey
Margaret A. Massey, 89, of Las Vegas, Nev., formerly of Clarksville, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, in Las Vegas, Nev.
Survivors include two daughters, Pam Stille of Clarksville and Susan Connelly of Las Vegas, Nev.; two sisters, Josephine Miller of Oakdale, Calif., and Trudy Wright of Everett, Wash.; three grandchildren, Chris Stille of Clarksville, April Barnett of Paris, and Todd Metcalf of Charlotte, W. Va.; and five great-grandchildren, Forest Stille of Clarksville, Keith Brown and Kaylee Barnett of Paris, and Alex and Austin Metcalf of West Virginia.
Funeral service was Thursday, Feb. 28, at Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society in Las Vegas, Nev. A memorial service and burial will be at Oakland cemetery in Clarksville at a later date.
Truman K. Einert
ruman Kenneth Einert, 80, of Lamar died Friday, March 1, 2002, at his home.
He was a retired Arkansas Highway Department employee, son of the late Carl and Maude Alderson Einert, and was preceded in death by one sister, Myrna Einert Officer; and three brothers, Herman, Aden, and Gene Einert.
He is survived by four daughters, Alma Holt and Myrna Deforest, both of Lamar, Linda White of Clarksville, and Betty Killough of London; one sister, Alma Robinson of Lamar; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, March 4, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Terry Schlinker officiating. Burial was in Mt. Vernon cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Kenny White, Paul Holt, Mike Killough, Ray Willis, Kevin Holt and Don White.
Wilma E. King
Wilma E. King, 80, of Ozark, aunt of Judy Thornton of Clarksville, died Friday, Feb. 22, 2002, in a Clarksville nursing home.
A native of the White Oak Community, she was a daughter of the late Eric and Vera Collins King, member of the White Oak Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday school for many years, and director of the Duncan cemetery for approximately 30 years. She received a bachelor's degree from the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, a master's degree from the University of Arkansas, and was a retired school teacher having taught for 27 years with most of those years at Ozark. She was preceded in death by one sister, Frances Vaught.
Other survivors are two sisters, Gippa Kendall of DeWitt and Imogene Trichell of Broken Arrow, Okla.; three nieces, Jane Hollingshead and Anna Woodruff, both of Tulsa, Okla., and Stacey Pomeroy of Owasso, Okla.; one nephew, Ray Kendall of Huntsville, Ala.; seven great-nephews; four great-nieces; and two great-great-nephews.
A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with Rev. Lance Jones of Clarksville officiating. The body was cremated.

Andy Sexton
Andy Sexton, 34, of Clarksville died Saturday, March 10, 2001, at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith from injuries sustained from a gunshot wound.
A native of Ozark, he was a 1985 graduate of Clarksville High School and a carpenter.
Survivors include his widow, Sheila Terry Sexton; four sons, Dustin Sexton, Jacob Sexton, and Zachary Sexton, all of Coal Hill, and Skylar Sexton of Lamar; one stepdaughter, Samantha Terry of Lamar; mother and stepfather, Anita and J. C. Campbell of Clarksville; father and stepmother, Hartsell and Diana Sexton of Denning; and two brothers, Jamie Sexton and Tim Sexton, both of Clarksville.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 17, at Shady Grove cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home. The body was cremated.
Almedia West
Almedia (Mickie) West, 80, formerly of Hagarville, died Sunday, March 11, 2001, in Dallas, Texas.
She was a native of Joplin, Mo., daughter of the late Grace Morrow and Justice and Ressie Morrow; widow of Basil Carlton West, member of the Church of Christ and the Over Fifty Five Club with St. Pius X Church, a volunteer with the Brady Center in Dallas, Texas, and was preceded in death by three sisters; and one brother.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Mary Francis West of Dallas, Texas, and Dennis and Darlene West of Lamar; one sister, Grace Williams of Sacramento, Calif.; one brother, Charles Robertson of Idaho; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 15, in Garland, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 17, at the Hagarville cemetery. The body was cremated. Local arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
