Bernice L. Blevins
Bernice L. Blevins, 87, of Ozark died Tuesday, March 6, 2001, in Mercy Hospital/Turner Memorial in Ozark.
A native of the Harmony Community in Johnson County, she was a daughter of the late Rufus and Sara Adams Edwards, widow of Charlie Blevins, and a member of Webb City Baptist Church.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 8, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with Rev. Jan Akins officiating. Burial was in Liberty Hill cemetery at Hunt.
Fred Sutterfield
Fred Sutterfield, 86, of Russellville, father of LaVonna Hudson of Knoxville, died Friday, March 9, 2001, at the Paris Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was a native of Harriett, son of the late Wayne Arthur and Mary California Stephenson Sutterfield, United States Army veteran of World War II, member of the Free Will Baptist Church, retired employee of Boeing Aircraft in Wichita, Kan., and a nine-year employee of Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. He was preceded in death by 15 brothers and sisters.
Other survivors include his widow, Annie L. Sutterfield; one son, Freddie Sutterfield of Gate Harbor, Wash.; four grandchildren, Nicole Sutterfield of New York, N. Y., Denise Sutterfield of Tacoma, Wash., John Hudson of Morrilton, and Todd Hudson of Branson, Mo.; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and burial were at 3 p.m. Friday, March 9, at Rest Haven Memorial Park with Rev. Freddie Goates officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
Grace M. Chronister
Grace M. Chronister, 78, of Fort Smith, mother of Mary Domerese of Clarksville, died Sunday, March 4, 2001.
She was a member of the Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include one other daughter, Linda Stone of Fort Smith; four grandchildren, Dane Domerese, David Domerese, James Belk, and Jennifer Stone; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, at Ocker Memorial Chapel with burial in Hall cemetery at Natural Dam.
Maude E. Looper
Maude Esther Overbey Looper, 91, of Clarksville died Friday, March 9, 2001, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a daughter of the late John Thomas and Josephine Horn Overbey, widow of Ben C. Looper, charter member of Oakland Street Full Gospel Church, and was preceded in death by one son, Edward Earl Looper; and four sisters, Glynn Graves, Ruth Horton, Bertha Overbey, and Mildred Carter.
She is survived by one sister and two brothers-in-law, Marie and Dennis Wheeler of Lamar and Earnest Graves of Tulsa, Okla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 1 p.m. Monday, March 12, at Oakland Street Church with Rev. Carl Sory officiating.
Burial was in Lamar cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Darrell Wheeler, Calvin Price, Paul Williams, Larry Looper, Michael DuBois, and Wes Kendrick.
Naomi North McElroy
Naomi North McElroy, 88, of Fort Smith, formerly of Clarksville, died Wednesday, March 7, 2001, at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith.
A native of the Minnow Creek Community, she was a daughter of the late Levi L. and Winnie E. Holloway Voss, widow of Orville North and Jeff McElroy, and member of Lamar United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Deborah Ludlow of Fort Smith; one son, Robert North of Shreveport, La.; four grandchildren, Dr. Steven C. North of Roswell, N. M., Robin Lucius of Baton Rouge, La., Jennifer Barton of Fort Smith, and Scott Dillard of Rogers; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, March 9, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ken Parker officiating. Burial was in Minnow Creek cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Dean Castleberry, Larry Oakes, Joe Metz, Larry Bacchus, Lonnie Turner, and Mike Whitson.
Honorary pallbearers were John Paul North, Bobby West, and Joseph Ham.
Reed Self
Reed Self, 77, of Carrollton, Ga., died Tuesday, March 13, 2001.
A native of Johnson County, he was a son of the late Walter Blaine and Savannah Carrollton Self, a retired supervisor of Douglas and Lomason after 37 years of service, and was preceded in death by one brother, Loy Self; and one sister, Reba Self.
Survivors include his widow, Anna Self; two sons and daughters-in-law, E. Ray and Sherry Turner Self and Billy R. and Kay Self, all of Peachtree City, Ga.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Jimmy Allen of Heflin, Ala., Sue and John Walls of Carrollton, Ga., and Sandra and Dennis Barr of Bowdon, Ga.; two sisters, Frances Evans and Cloa Robertson, both of Hartman; nine grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 15, at Martin and Hightower Heritage Chapel in Carrollton, Ga., with Rev. G. W. Burson and Rev. Monroe Lipscomb officiating. Burial will be in Carroll Memory Gardens.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Andrea Nicole Fancher
Andrea Nicole Fancher, 19, of Kingston died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2004, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kan., from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was a student at the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville where she was a member of the Lady Eagles basketball team.
She was born at Huntsville, member of Calvary Baptist Church in Huntsville, a 2003 graduate of Kingston High School where she received the geometry, American history, trigonometry and algebra II awards and was a member of the FCCLA and FBL for four years, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Science Club for three years and had served on the student council. She was captain of the junior high basketball team in the ninth grade and was named MVP, all-tournament, all-conference, and an all-state candidate in the 10th and 11th grades and was MVP, all-conference, all-district, and all-state in the 12th grade. She was the recipient of the National Honor Roll award and was listed in sy0cf1Who's Who Among American High School Students sy0cf1for four years. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Gregory Lyn Boyd in 2000.
Survivors include her father, Stillman Leon Fancher of Kingston; mother, Angela Kay Boyd of Kingston; one brother, Cameron Blake Fancher of Kingston; paternal grandmother, Ines Melinda Fancher of Dry Fork; maternal grandfather, John James Mitchell of Berryville; and fiance, Garrett Jason Matlock of Kingston.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home in Huntsville with Rev. Roy I. Cain officiating. Interment will be in the Liberty cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Jarred Head, Jeff Anderson, Monty Hoskins, Justin Matlock, Coach Greg Poole and Coach Greg McCone.

Danielle Rae Hunter
Danielle Rae Hunter, 14, of Ozark died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004, at Mercy Hospital/Turner Memorial in Ozark from injuries sustained following a two-vehicle accident on Highway 23 south when she was thrown from the bed of a pickup.
She was a native of Pine Bluff, student at Ozark Junior High School and a member of Altus Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include her parents, Danny and Tammy Hall Hunter of Ozark; one sister, Amber Hunter of the home; two brothers, Danny Hunter Jr. and Tyler Hunter, both of the home; maternal grandparents, Sandra and Dennis Ashby of Lamar; paternal grandparents, Dean and Mary Hunter of Hartman; and great-grandmother, Wilma Lambert of Pine Bluff.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with Rev. Sammy Alverson officiating. Burial was in Highland cemetery at Ozark.
Pallbearers were Roger Walker, Keith Lambert, Richard Lambert, Henry Spencer, T. J. Wood, Bill Lambert and David Cliff.
