Floy E. Massey

Floy E. Massey, 90, of Clarksville died Friday, Aug. 20, 2010, at Clarksville.

She was a native of Morrilton, daughter of the late Richard and Emma Crowder James, widow of Vernon D. Massey, member of the Assembly of God Church, and was preceded in death by one son, Jim Massey; three grandchildren; one brother; and three sisters.

Survivors include one son, Lonnie Massey of Ponca City, Okla.; five daughters, Vela Payne of Ponca City, Okla., Fay King and Rita Nowotny, both of Clarksville, Wanda Weathers of Hartman, and Brenda Holman of Lamar; 20 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 23, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.

Pallbearers were Barry Pelts, Tim Freeman, John Nowotny, Kevin Massey, Keith Massey, Jeremy Pelts, Kyle Pruitt, Donnie Chavers, Trey Pelts, James Massey, John Massey, and Bob Williams.

Minnie Bell Davis

Minnie Bell Davis, 85, died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, in Santa Rosa, Calif.

A native of Johnson County, she was a daughter of the late Charles Monroe (Charlie) and Sarah Louisa Lewis Atkins, widow of Theopolus (T.O.) Davis, and preceded in death by eight siblings.

She is survived by two sons, Carl Davis and wife, Carol, and George Davis and wife, Elaine; two daughters, Jewell McDaniel and husband, John, and Mary Wilson; one sister, Ollen Atkins; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Humane Society of Sonoma County, 5345 Sebastopol Road, Santa Rosa, CA 95407-6401.

Ramona Joy Kelly

Ramona Joy Kelly, age 81, of Benton, passed away Monday, August 16, 2010. She was born in Clarksville, Arkansas, on July 8, 1929, to the late Vaughn Ogilvie and Estey M. (Miracle) Ogilvie. She was a previous member of Garden Homes Baptist Church and a current member of Second Baptist Church, both in Little Rock. She had been a bookkeeper for numerous accounting firms. She enjoyed gardening and loved to travel.

She is survived by her daughter, Pat Bain and husband, David, of Texarkana, Texas; three grandchildren, Kelly Bain-Conkin and husband, Jeff, of South Bend, Indiana, Jacob Bain of Fayetteville and Nikki Bain of Texarkana, Texas; and many loving friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Kelly; and one brother, Lovis Ogilvie.

Funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 20, 2010, at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton (501-315-4047) with Dr. James Thomason officiating. Interment followed at 3 p.m. at Woodland cemetery near Clarksville.

Visitation was 9 a.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Second Baptist Church Lake Nixon Ministry, 222 East 8th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72202 or the Humane Society of Pulaski County, 14600 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock, AR 72210.

Scharlotte Sue Stapp

Scharlotte Sue Stapp, 63, of Mulberry, sister of Connie Jean Rutt of Clarksville, died Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010, at Mulberry.

She was a member of Mulberry First Baptist Church and American Legion Auxiliary Post 149, attended Westark and obtained a registered nurse degree, was a former employee of S & H Kress in Mulberry, Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith in security, personnel and surgery for 15 years, Mercy Hospital/Turner Memorial in Ozark in the emergency room, and for the past 16 years has been employed by the Mulberry-Pleasant View School District as the school nurse.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Stapp; one daughter, Rebecca Harmon of Mulberry; parents, Gene and Mary Sue Smalley Lowrimore of Mulberry; one other sister, April Shilling and husband, Jim, of Mabank, Texas; one brother, Donald Lee (Bud) Lowrimore and wife, Nina, of West Fork; and one grandchild, Lexxa Harmon of Mulberry.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, at First Baptist Church in Mulberry with Rev. Don Cockran officiating.

Burial will be in New cemetery at Mulberry under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.

Pallbearers will be David Smalley, Adam Workman, and Eric Swearingin, all cousins; Greg Rutt, Marcus Shilling, and Kelly Lowrimore, all nephews; and Kyler Lowrimore, great-nephew.

Harold Bush

On August 23, 2010, a great reunion took place in Heaven between Harold Bush, his daughter, Cheryl Bush, and grandson, Floyd Isenbart.

Harold passed away at his home in Clarksville after a long illness, surrounded by his family.

Harold Dean Bush was born April 17, 1934, to the late Dennis and Alva Bush of Clarksville, Arkansas.

Harold was deeply devoted to his family he left behind, his wife of 54 years, Evelyn Jacobs Bush; one daughter, Carla and husband, Tony Delk, of Pryor, OK; two sons, Ron and wife, Barbara Bush, of Lamar, AR and David and wife, Sherry Bush, of Clarksville, AR; grandchildren, Cody and Brandi Isenbart of Springdale, AR, Ryan and Amanda Bush of Memphis, TN; Brandon and Kimko Bush of Clarksville, AR, Amanda, Ethan and Emily Bush of Clarksville, AR, Clarissa and Kayla Delk of Durant, OK, and Jessica and Jason Sumner of Fayetteville, AR; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Makenzie, and Trinity Isenbart, Sophia and Samuel Bush, and Boston and Landon Bush; nephews, Carl Bush, the late Christopher Birge, and Flethcher Scott Allen; brother-in-law, Fletcher Harold Allen; two sisters-in-law, Aleta Hamlin and Oneta Allen; and many friends.

Harold was of the Baptist faith, veteran and retired teamster from Jones Truck Line in Springdale, AR, where he worked for 35 years. Harold was also an avid Nascar fan.

The Bush family wishes to express their thanks to Dr. Dana Rabideau and Fort Smith Dialysis Unit for their six years of great care and devotion.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 25, 2010, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, August 26, 2010, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel, Clarksville, Arkansas. Body will be cremated.

Pallbearers will be Billy Forge, Bob Nelson, Jason Sumner, Carl Bush, Tony Delk, and Harold Allen.

Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Dewinter, Kyle King, Charles Warren and Bill Bush.

Roller-Cox Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Allen Ray Standridge

Allen Ray Standridge, 47, of Dover died Tuesday, March 23, 2010, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville.

He was a native of Clarksville, son of the late Clinton Ray Standridge, retired Tyson Foods employee after 25 years of service, attended Gospel Lighthouse Pentecostal Church at Bull Frog Valley, and was preceded in death by one daughter, Jessica Nicole Standridge.

Survivors include two sons, Kyle Allen Standridge and Michael Wesley Standridge, both of Dover; mother, Helen Ruth Standridge Clark of Dover; one sister and brother-in-law, Connie Lynn and Clinton E. Fillion of Dover; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Carl Rodger and Marilyn Standridge and Kevin Earnest Standridge, all of Dover; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday, March 26, at Gospel Lighthouse Pentecostal Church at Bull Frog Valley with Rev. Jackie Brewer and Rev. Arnold Humphrey officiating.

Burial was in Annie's Chapel cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Active pallbearers were Brian Roper, Mike Freeman, Dale Freeman, Billy George, Chris Jackson, and David Harris.

Honorary pallbearers were Christopher Williams and James Vaughn.

Edwin R. Gehrt

Edwin Richard Gehrt, 59, of Clarksville died Monday, March 29, 2010, at his home.

He was a native of Oak Park, Ill., son of the late Edwin Richard and Helen Marcum Gehrt, and an automobile mechanic.

He is survived by one son, Richard Gehrt of California; one sister, Kim Ozimek of Clarksville; two brothers, Ken Gehrt and Jon Gehrt, both of Clarksville; one grandchild, Cody Gehrt; one niece, Tasha Hall of Clarksville; and one nephew, Richard Hall of Clarksville.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 2, at Lone Pine cemetery. Cremation was under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
