Karen E. Walker
Karen Elaine Howard Walker, 52, of Benton, daughter of Jack K. Howard of Clarksville, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton.
She was a native of Dallas, Texas, and was preceded in death by her mother, Christine Howard, and one grandson, Brian Lee White.
Other survivors include her husband, Walter L. Walker; four daughters, Tahirih Holcomb, Stephanie Brown, Christsina Mancias and Susie Nichols, all of Benton; three stepdaughters, Jennifer Walker of Benton, Michelle Adams of Hood River, Ore., and Kathleen Walker of Boise, Idaho; one sister, Glenda Alianell of Garland, Texas; three brothers, John Alianell of Nevada, Texas, Steve Howard of Mesquite, Texas, and Michael Howard of Jefferson; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Roy Borel officiating. Burial was in Coal Hill cemetery.
Pallbearers were Mike Howard, Steve Howard, Raymond Hyatt, Brian Holcomb, Walter Walker, and Michael Howard Jr.
Leonard Lindstad
Leonard Lindstad, 83, of Lamar died Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, at his home.
He was a native of Groton, S. D., son of the late Peter Iverson and Pauline A. Erickson Lindstad, Army veteran of World War II, Lutheran, and a retired mechanic.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Johnson Lindstad; 11 stepchildren; and three sisters.
Funeral and burial will be in Austin, Texas.
Local arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Letty I. Whitkanack
Letty Irene Whitkanack, 101, of Sultan, Wash., died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004, at her home.
A native of Darwin, Ill., she was a daughter of the late George and Emma Heleine, widow of Virgil Whitkanack, and was preceded in death by one son, Max Whitkanack; one grandson, Jim; great-grandson, Allen; four brothers; and four sisters.
She is survived by one daughter, Shirley Whitkanack of Sultan, Wash.; one son and two daughters-in-law, Bob and Helen Whitkanack of Clarksville and Sue Whitkanack of Hagarville; five grandchildren, Chellia Hunt and Glena Burkes, both of Russellville, Jean Bowden of Searcy, Michael Whitkanack of Clarksville, and Brian Tremble of Seattle, Wash.; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22, at the First Baptist Church in Clarksville with Dr. Robert Brown officiating.
Burial will be in Hagarville cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jack Burkes, Eldon Mushrush, Mike Bowden, David Hunt, Mike Reynolds, and Steve Burch.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, at Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Normaleta Tilley
Graveside services and burial for Normaleta Tilley, 61, of Kennedale, Texas, formerly of Lamar, who died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2004, at her home, were at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, at Lamar cemetery with Rev. Clyde Vire officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
She was the widow of Ernest Lee Tilley and an employee of Burger Box in Kennedale, Texas.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Kari and Todd Pierce of Crowley, Texas, and Anita and Albert Mantell of Kennedale, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Ernest and Jo Tilley of Fort Worth, Texas; three sisters, Yvonne Brown of Gilmer, Texas, Carmaleta Loyd of Hurst, Texas, and Juanita Osborn of Herlong, Calif.; one brother, Don Bishop of Forest Hill; and seven grandchildren.
Paul C. Andrews
aul Clinton Andrews, 82, of Ozone died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, at his home.
He was retired from Monsanto Chemical Company, member of Ozone Baptist Church, son of the late Robert Julian and Dolly Stephens Andrews, and was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Myra Andrews.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Paula Jo and Virgil Gaubert of Luling, La.; one son and daughter-in-law, Julian and Iona Andrews of Luling, La.; four grandchildren, Tracey Simoneaux, Jennifer Archuleta, and Seth and Ethan Gaubert, all of Luling, La.; and four great-grandchildren, Lynnsey, Garrett, Tyler and Nathan.
Funeral was at 12 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at the Ozone Baptist Church with Rev. Dave McCracken and Rev. Bob Herod officiating.
Burial was in Russell cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Dr. Richard McDougal, Seth Gaubert, Virgil Gaubert, Ethan Gaubert, Julian Andrews, and Ray England.
Robert T. Coleman
Robert T. Coleman, 55, of Clarksville died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004, at his home.
He was a native of Burnet, Texas, graduate of Llando (Texas) High School, Army veteran, member of the Kiwanis Club and Stillwell Bible Baptist Church, member and past president of the Clarksville-Johnson County Chamber of Commerce, and was a 26-year employee of Arkansas Western Gas Company including manager at the Clarksville office from November 1986 to February 2000. He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Coleman.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Teague Coleman; one daughter and son-in-law, Misty and Kris Acord of Clarksville; one son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Ray and Kelly Coleman of Coal Hill; mother, Doris Garrett of Pyatt; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Connie and Ray Brooks of Harrison and Beverly and Graham Keymer of Pyatt; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Glenn and Karen Coleman of Valley Springs and Jerry and Rhonda Coleman of Midway; four grandchildren, Katie O'Neal, Zack Nichols, Tyler Neal and Kristin Acord; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, at the Stillwell Bible Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Goodman officiating with graveside services and burial following at 3 p.m. at the Silver Hill cemetery in Silver Hill. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Floyd Pledger, Phillip Bell, Bobby Ray Coleman, Kevin Coleman, Michael Teague and Matt Howard.
Honorary pallbearers were Charles Owen, Clifford May, and Kris Acord.
Shelda R. Bray
Shelda R. (Sammi) Bray, 55, of Paris, daughter-in-law of Elsie Bray of Clarksville, died Oct. 25, 2004, in Russellville.
She was a truck driver and preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Bernice Upgrand Mills.
Other survivors include her husband, Bobby Bray; and one brother, Glen Mills of Fargo, N. D.
A cremation memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Funeral Home of Paris.
Augusto Armellini
Augusto Giacomo (Toby) Armellini, 84, of Clarksville died Dec. 16, 2003.
He was a native of Little Rock, son of the late Ferdinand and Catherine (Pozza) Armellini, graduate of Central High School, served as captain in the U. S. Army from 1943-45 during World War II and flew the China-Burma-India Hump and received the Flying Cross for his efforts, former member of St. Andrews Catholic Church, previous co-owner of LeFever Display Service and a self-taught professional artist. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Armellini; one brother, Ferdinand Armellini Jr.; and one sister, Marie Waller.
Survivors are one son and daughter-in-law, Toby and Sylvia Armellini; one daughter and son-in-law, Janie and Randy Gresham of Clarksville; and three grandchildren, Lora Anne Gresham, Tiffany Marie Gresham, and Jessica Janney.
A celebration of his life was held at 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, at Griffin-Leggett-Rest Hills Funeral Home in North Little Rock with Elder Randy Gresham officiating. Interment followed at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
