Anna Lee Davenport

Anna Lee Davenport, 60, of Fernandina Beach, Fla., died Friday, Jan. 2, 2004, at Jacksonville, Fla.
She was a daughter of the late Annie Belle (Marvel) and Lonnie Dallas Davenport Sr., Army veteran, retired business owner in Fort Smith for 21 years, of the Assembly of God faith, and was preceded in death by two sisters, Vera Sue Davenport and Lonita Ann Davenport; and one brother, Arthur Alan Davenport.
Survivors include three sisters, Pam Parnell of Jacksonville, Fla., Bonnie Bess McFadden of Coal Hill and June Joy Johnson of Cedar Falls, Iowa; two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Dallas (Carolyn) Davenport Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Thomas (Rosalie) Davenport, all of Coal Hill, and Debra Davenport of Hartman.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in Hartman cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Steven Wayne Davenport, Mark Alan Davenport, Michael Johnson, Keith Alan Davenport, Kevin Wayne Davenport, and Terence Adam Davenport.
Honorary pallbearers were Barbara Ann McFadden Driggs, Betty Ray McFadden Baker, Wilma Jean McFadden Shepherd, Rita Smiley Losh, Karla Jayne Johnson Fuller, Robert Wayne Davenport, Dianna Kay Davenport, and Annie Marie Davenport Sampley.

Earl L. Morgan

Earl L. Morgan, 81, of Punta Gorda, Fla., died Friday, Dec. 26, 2003.
A native of Lamar, he was a son of the late George L. and Christina Morgan, attended the University of Arkansas until serving in the Army Air Corps as a fighter pilot during World War II, was a former resident of Richland, Mo., where he owned and operated Western Auto stores and furniture/appliance stores in the Missouri Ozarks, served on the Richland School Board of Education, member of the Methodist Church and Lions Club, and a Mason and Shriner.
After relocating to southwest Florida in 1963, he became involved in real estate and remained active in that field for 40 years, was a past president of Punta Gorda, Port Charlotte, North Port Association of Realtors, charter member of the Araba Shrine Temple, charter member of Elk's BPOE 2606, was a Sojounrer, member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Reserve Officer Association, and was preceded in death by one brother, George L. Morgan Jr., and one sister, Eileen Morgan Griffith.
Survivors are his wife of 58 years, Marie B. Morgan; four children, Rita Lynn Grimshaw, Janet Marie Konover, Edwin Clark Morgan and Leslie Earl Morgan, all of Punta Gorda/Port Charlotte, Fla.; two brothers, Carl Morgan of Clarksville and Harold Morgan of St. Charles, Mo.; and three grandchildren, Thomas Earl Grimshaw, Jeffrey Clark Morgan, and Christina Elaine Morgan.
Funeral was Monday, Dec. 29, at Kays-Ponger Chapel in Porta Gorda with entombment at Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens in Ft. Myers, Fla.

Granville Callahan

Granville (Buddy) Callahan, 74, of Clarksville died Friday, Jan. 2, 2004, at Veteran Medical Center in Fayetteville.
He was a son of the late John A. and Alberta Ogle Callahan, native of Traskwood, graduate of Glen Rose (Arkansas) High School, veteran of the Korean War, retired employee of Shell Oil Company in Houston, Texas, founder of Callahan Real Estate and Appraisal Service of Clarksville, member of First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Jane Benedict Callahan.
Survivors are two daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Rick Ashmore of Bryant and Linda and Andy Verwiebe of Clarksville; one son and daughter-in-law, Granville Wayne and Diane Callahan of Rogers; three sisters, Dorothy Cunningham and LaVoy Clift, both of Traskwood, and Jo Ella Skinner of Malvern; three brothers, Charles Callahan and James Callahan, both of Benton, and John Callahan of Haskell; six grandchildren, Granville Wayne Callahan Jr., Jason Domerese, Amy Callahan, Joshua Marcaletti, Chris Marcaletti and Laura Verwiebe; and one great-grandson, Dane Domerese.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Vernon Bass officiating followed by graveside services and burial at 3 p.m. at Mount Harmony cemetery at Haskell with Rev. Jacob Bagby officiating.
Pallbearers were Gran Callahan, Amy Callahan, Josh Marcaletti, Chris Marcaletti, Laura Verwiebe, Jason Domerese, Scottie Clift, Mark Clift, Jimmy Clift, Larry Skinner, Adam Skinner, Ronnie Skinner, Ronnie Cunningham, and Steven Callahan.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

James Charles Clark

James Charles Clark, 73, of Clarksville died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003, at his home.
A native of Bradford, Pa., he was a retired truck driver, member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, and an avid horse rider.
Survivors include his widow, Gerri Clark; one daughter, Janet Paseo of Lewis Run, Pa.; three sons, James (Butch) Clark and Jimmy Clark, both of Lewis Run, Pa., and Dennis Clark of Corona, Calif.; three stepdaughters, Elizabeth Warren and Mitzie Allen, both of Hartman, and Jackie Tyler of Clarksville; one stepson, Larry Sims of Maumelle; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one niece, Janie Slonim of Titisville, Pa.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Vernon Bass officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
The body was cremated at Faith Crematory in Van Buren.
Memorials may be made to Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, 1400 West Cherry Street, Clarksville, AR 72830.

Joseph Jack Stepp

Joseph Jack Stepp, 50, of Clarksville died Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a son of the late La Banner Alvin Stepp and a laborer.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Russell L. and Jennifer Stokes and Joseph A. Stepp, all of Hartman; mother, Hazel Lee Riley Stepp of Spadra; five sisters, Verdell Hill of Coal Hill, Juanita Hill and Barbara Warren, both of Ozone, and Carolyn Merkling and Pamela Cannon, both of Clarksville; four brothers, Marvin Stepp and Douglas Stepp, both of Hunt, and Wayne Stepp and Phillip Stepp, both of Clarksville; and one grandchild, Megan R. Stokes.
Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2, at Oark cemetery with Ron Owen officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Honorary pallbearers were Allen Hill, Tommy Daniels, Gene Vannoy, Eugene Hill, Sammy Stokes, and David Stepp.

Lloyd McFadden Sr.

Lloyd Ralph McFadden Sr., 59, of Clarksville died Monday, Jan. 5, 2004, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a son of the late Nelson Miles and Zady Darter McFadden, native of Rock Springs, Wyo., member of Labor Local Union No. 1290, retired employee of J. C. Dunn Construction Company in Kansas City, Mo., and was preceded in death by two brothers, Cecil and Ray McFadden, and two sisters, Hazel Mitchell and Jean Brumley.
Survivors are his widow, Lora Watson McFadden; one daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Larry Harper of Louisburg, Kan.; two sons, Lloyd McFadden Jr. of California and John Miner of Clarksville; two sisters, Dorothy Brown of Hartman and Ruby Gay of Pine Bluff; one brother, Harold McFadden of Santa Barbara, Calif.; and four grandchildren, Samantha Harper, Merendi Harper, Kylan Harper, and Draven Harper.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gary Blair officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Hill cemetery at Hunt.
Active pallbearers will be Lloyd McFadden Jr., John Miner, Larry Harper, John Brown, Jarred McFadden, and Harold McFadden.
Honorary pallbearers will be Cecil Brown, Dennis Patton, and Ricky Hurst.
Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8, at Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Laverne E. Rofkahr

Laverne E. Rofkahr, 81, of Clarksville died Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.
She was a daughter of the late Clyde and Laura Dobbs Garrett, widow of John C. Rofkahr, 25-year retired Sears Corporation retail salesperson, member of Central Assembly of God Church in Kansas City, Mo., and attended New Life Christian Center in Clarksville.
Survivors include one daughter, Jane Paramore of Clarksville; three grandchildren and spouses, Jon and Dona Winsell of New York City, N. Y., and Kevin Winsell and Kim and Robert Mullins, all of Oklahoma City, Okla.; five great-grandchildren, Julia Winsell of New York City, N. Y., and Grey Mullins, Grant Mullins, Garrett Mullins and Gage Mullins, all of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one sister and brother-in-law, Johnnie and Joe Dan Calvin of Clarksville; one brother and sister-in-law, Al and Joanne Garrett of Grandview, Mo.; and numerous nephews and nieces including Donna Garrett of Lee's Summit, Mo.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Frank Clemmons and Rev. Clisdal Ruffin officiating. Burial was in Shady Grove cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Cecil Rhodes, Amsey Garrett, Richard Warren, Kevin Waid, Lee Roy Warren, and Steve Warren.
Honorary pallbearers were friends of New Life Christian Center.
Visitation was from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 1, at Roller-Cox Chapel.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Research Hospital.
