Wilma D. Payne
Wilma Dean Payne, 77, of Clarksville died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2004, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Clarksville and daughter of the late Henderson and Lucy Rankin Stanfil.
Survivors include her husband, Don Payne; three sons, Larry Reece of Mt. Ida, Don R. Payne of Apex, N. C., and Kenneth L. Wood of California; six grandchildren, Jennifer Reece of Fort Smith, Meredith Reece of Greenwood, Allison Floyd and husband, Kevin, of Waldron, Chris and Brandon Payne, both of North Carolina, and Kevin Wood of Florida; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Robert Brown officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.
Pallbearers were Marty Howard, Danny Leeds, Troy Blankenship, Bill Hill, Dan Patridge, and Len Bradley.
Susan K. Magby
Susan K. Magby, 52, of Clarksville died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2004, at her home.
She was born in Sterling, Colo., graduated from Hot Springs High School in South Dakota, and was a member of Stillwell Bible Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, John Magby; one daughter, Brenda Magby of Bentonville; one son, Bernie Magby of Clarksville; parents, Bud and Eunice Marks of Oral, S. D.; one sister, Linda Marks of Denver, Colo.; and twin brother, Willie Marks of Sheridan, Wyo.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, with Rev. Jim Goodman officiating. Local arrangements are under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral.
The body was cremated.
Bobby C. Henry
Bobby C. Henry, 66, of Mulberry, brother of Lynn Meurer of Hartman, died Thursday, May 18, 2006, at Mulberry.
He was a native of Mulberry, son of the late Albert and Ruth Huggins Henry, retired from the U. S. Army and was a member of Mulberry First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ila Nichols Henry; one daughter, Angie Chrisco of Paragould; one son, Jeff Henry of Mulberry; one stepdaughter, Tammie Richie of Mulberry; three other sisters, Erma Scott of Paragould, Reta Moore of Lavaca, and Helen Brigance of Fayetteville; one brother, Leroy Henry of Jonesboro; and two grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 20, at Mulberry First Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Harrilson officiating.
Burial was at Rankin cemetery near Ozark under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Mulberry.
Craig A. Marvel
Graveside services and burial for Craig Alan Marvel, 45, of Conway, who died Tuesday, May 23, 2006, at Conway Regional Medical Center were at 10 a.m. Friday, May 26, at the Hartman cemetery with Rev. Larry Pillow officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
He was a 1979 graduate of Conway High School, employee of Crow-Burlingame Auto Parts Store, member and pianist of Zion Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by one sister, Jo Ann Marvel; and grandparents, Florine Hatcher Green, Clarence Green, Albert and Hazel Poyner Marvel, M. D. Whatley and Henry Slankard.
Survivors are his parents, Bruce and Pat Marvel of Russellville; one brother, Thomas Marvel of Russellville; grandmother, Iona Slankard of El Dorado; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Florence T. Jones
Florence Thomas Roper Jones, 94, of Hagarville died Thursday, May 25, 2006, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
She was a member of the Lee's Chapel Assembly of God Church, daughter of the late James J. and Annie Sanders Thomas, widow of Richard M. Jones, and was preceded in death by one son, Charles Roper, and one grandson, Larry Cowell.
Survivors are one daughter, Evelyn Emerson of Hagarville; four stepchildren; three sisters, May English and Essie Freeman, both of Lamar, and Ruby Ewton of Oklahoma; and five grandchildren, Linda Oneal and husband, Gene, of Springdale, Ronnie Cowell and wife, Sheliah, of Lamar, Charlotte Williams of Rogers, Brian Roper and Sherry Deal and husband, Randy, all of Dover; and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 27, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in Annie's Chapel cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bobby English, Larry English, Don Freeman, Gary Robbins, Brian Roper, and Justin Cowell.
James W. Bailey
James W. Bailey, 68, of Clarksville died Thursday, May 25, 2006, at his home.
He was a retired director of Arkansas Environmental Academy in Camden, served on water, waste water, solid waste, and recycling boards where he was the recipient of numerous honors and awards, son of the late Drayfus and Ruth E. Moore Bailey, and was preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Bailey, and one brother, Jerry Bailey.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon M. Bailey; three daughters, Angela Vaught and husband, Herb, of Altus, Tammy Pearson of Richmond, Va., and Melodye Stickley and husband, Russell, of Hartman; and seven grandchildren, Cody and Alexandria Vaught, Nick Helms, Collin and Katie Pearson, and Brittney and Quincey Stickley.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 29, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness with Don Collie officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.

Jackie W. Banning
Jackie W. Banning, 66, of Scranton died Sunday, May 28, 2006, in Clarksville.
He was born at Cecil to Alex and Sarah Pippin Banning, member of Northside Baptist Church in Charleston and a retired carpenter and farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Banning; one sister, Phyllis Lemon of Van Buren; and one sister, A. C. Banning of Charleston.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, at Smith Mortuary Chapel with burial in McKendree cemetery north of Subiaco.
Pallbearers will be Donald Thompson, Billy Hughes, Angelo Palarino, Tim Moffet, Russell Houser, and Philip Benard.
Michael E. Conley
Michael E. Conley, 49, of Ozark, brother of Denise Belt of Hunt, died Sunday, May 21, 2006, at his home.
He was an Army veteran, painter, native of Fort Polk, La., and son of the late Ruby Smith Conley.
Survivors are one daughter, Shannon Conley of Saltillo, Miss.; one son, Ross Conely of Saltillo, Miss.; father, Bill Conley of Ozark; two other sisters, Rita Harris of Alma and Melissa Pannell of Ozark; four brothers, Russell, Robert and Dennis Conley, all of Texas, and Billy Conley of Ozark; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 25, at Cass cemetery with Rev. Jan Akins officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Nick and Chris Schwartz, Dusty Thomas, Tim Pannell, David Belt, and Harvey Hill.
Opal H. Barnes
Opal Holland Barnes, 87, of Tulare, Calif., died May 2, 2006.
A native of Lamar, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Mary Lou Hughes Holland, reared and educated in the Greenwood Community near Altus, widow of Clyde Estes and Glenn Barnes, Baptist, and was preceded in death by one grandson, Mark Clark; three brothers, Blondell, Dwight and Chaylon Holland; and two sisters, Ruth Williams and Eria Mooney.
Survivors include one daughter, Wilma Estes Clark of Tulare, Calif.; one brother, Jack Holland of Visalia, Calif.; two sisters, Fern Davis of Tulare, Calif., and Verna Dean of Dinuba, Calif.; and two grandchildren, Ed Clark Jr. and Fonda DeAzevedo.
Funeral and burial were in Visalia, Calif.
