Billy Lee Earl Wood
Billy Lee Earl Wood, 69, of Lubbock, Texas, died Saturday, May 22, 2010, in Lubbock, Texas.
He was a native of Pottsville, son of the late Jeff and Elise Vinson Wood, and was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Wood; one brother, Charles Wood Sr.; and one sister, Lorene Criss.
Survivors include two daughters, Christina Wood of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Julie Ristau of Austin, Texas; three sons, Toby Wood of Dardanelle, Cary Wood of Pine Bluff and Chris Wood of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Linda Brandenburg of Clarksville and Laura Estridge of North Little Rock; two brothers, John Wood and Norman Wood, both of Clarksville; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 29, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger and John Wayne Wood officiating. Burial was in Mount Vernon cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Ricky Criss, Fred Wood, Michael Brandenburg, Jeff Wood, Paul Wood, and Dale Wood.
Honorary pallbearers were Charles Wood Jr., Ernie Wood, Johnny Criss Jr., Danny Criss, Jerry Wood, Kavin Wood, Terry Brandenburg, and Matt Estridge.
Donnie L. Guinnip
Donnie L. Guinnip, 50, of Clarksville died Tuesday, May 25, 2010.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Rachael Leann Guinnip and Desiree Guinnip of Kansas City, Kan., and stepfather, William I. Cowell Sr. of Clarksville.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Jimmy Ogden of Lamar; two grandchildren, Rainbow Guillotte and Sierra Henderson of Lamar; mother, Catherine Cowell of Clarksville; six brothers, Rick Guinnip, Mike Guinnip and Gerald Cowell, all of Clarksville, Dale Guinnip of Paris, John Cowell of Lamar, and Bill Cowell of Cisero, Ill.; and three sisters, Debbie Cox and Willena Calvin, both of Gravos Mills, Mo., and Karen Warner of Stover, Mo.
A memorial service was held Saturday, May 29, at the Lamar Community Building.
Jessie Killough Rye
Jessie Killough Rye, 76, of Henderson, Nev., formerly of Lamar, died Monday, May 24, 2010.
She was a daughter of the late John and Nellie Rowbotham Killough, widow of Dayton Hawkins and Bobby Joe Rye, graduate of Lamar High School, and preceded in death by six brothers, Eugene Killough, Wayne Killough, Finis Killough, Tommy Killough, James Killough, and Foster Killough.
Survivors include four sons, Frank Hawkins of Henderson, Nev., Keith Rye of Chino, Calif., Kevin Rye of Wrightwood, Calif., and Kirk Rye of Henderson, Nev.; four sisters, Lura Harmon and Bobbie Sherrill, both of Lamar, Sue Duncan of Wichita, Kan., and Oleta Sproul of Little Rock; and five grandchildren, Stacy Rye, Eric Rye, Steve Rye, Darrin Rye, and Auston Rye.
Funeral was at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 1, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Griffin officiating. Burial was in Madden cemetery at Lamar.
Pallbearers were Darrin Rye, Eric Rye, Auston Rye, Steve Rye, Stacy Rye, Talen Woodard, James Osborne, and Seth Osborne.
Paralee Wilson
Paralee Wilson, 85, of Clarksville died Sunday, May 30, 2010, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Paragould, daughter of the late Rufus and Stacy Adams Hern, widow of John W. Wilson, member of Hartman Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by one brother, John Hern; and three sisters, Nora Lee Hern, Esther Williams, and Catherine Morris.
Survivors include one daughter, Patsy Casbon and husband, Dennis, of Knoxville; one son, Lonnie Wilson and wife, Kathie, of Fort Smith; three sisters, Ada Ruth Hern, Paulette Hern, and Jane Rodriquez and husband, Chon, all of Hartman; two brothers, Floyd Hern and Gene Hern and wife, Helen, all of Hartman; sister-in-law, Earlene Hern of Knoxville; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, at Hartman Baptist Church with Rev. Grady Glass officiating.
Burial was in Hartman cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Donald Galvan, Danny Galvan Jr., Robbie Galvan, Johnnie Hern, Tom Fowler, and Lloyd Bailey.
Richard E. Rinke
Richard E. Rinke, 71, of West Fork died Saturday, May 29, 2010, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville.
A native of Hartman, he was a son of the late Otto and Louise Koerdt Rinke, graduate of Hartman High School, and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Hartman.
He is survived by one daughter, Regina Koonce and husband, Jon, of West Fork; one son, Kevin Rinke of Eubanks, Iowa; one sister, Doris Oberste of Missouri; two brothers, Gerald Rinke of North Kansas City, Mo., and Vincent Rinke of Independence, Mo.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, at Sacred Heart Catholic cemetery at Hartman with Father William Wewers officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Wanda H. Spetter
Graveside services and crematory burial for Wanda Hardgrave Spetter, 87, of Royse City, Texas, who died Feb. 23, 2010, in Rockwall, Texas, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 12, at Oakland cemetery in Clarksville.
She was a native of Clarksville, daughter of the late Earl and Coy Mae Boyer Hardgrave, member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Garland, Texas, and was preceded in death by one brother, Basil W. Hardgrave.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Tom Spetter; two daughters, Belinda Traister and husband, Phil, of Mesquite, Texas, and Regina Mae Cozar and husband, Ken, of Jackson, Miss.; three grandchildren, Tommy, Tammy and Mark; and three sisters, Erla Mae Everitt of Tucson, Ariz., Joanne Bohannon of Branson, Mo., and Yvonne Howell of Jonesboro.

Bella Virginia Neves, 86, of Clarksville died Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Sicily, daughter of the late Manuel and Palmira Oliveira Bento, and preceded in death by one daughter, Joyce Jones; one grandson, Kenny Jones; and one granddaughter, Kim Jones.
Survivors include one son-in-law, Richard G. Jones; grandchildren, Brian LaLone, Debi Rainey, Wilma Jones, Keith Jones, Joleen Schurman, Kris Jones, Steve Anderson, Kevin Jones and Linda Yriarte; great-grandchildren, Ryan Wright, Chelsea and Tim Vaughan, Evelyn Jones, Meg Ann and Jeffrey Briant, Brittney Schurman and Russell Jones; great-great-grandchildren, Alexis Vaughan, Dixie Briant, and Joseph Pevahouse.

Bill Burgess
Bill Burgess, 66, of Pauls Valley, Okla., formerly of Clarksville, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010.
A native of Tuckerman, he was a son of the late John T. and Virginia Hamilton Burgess, grew up and attended school in Michigan and California including Bakersfield Junior College in Bakersfield, Calif., former owner and operator of Burgess Oilfield Sales and Service in California, former employee of Walmart as an asset protection supervisor, and was employed as a Johnson County deputy sheriff prior to moving to Pauls Valley, Okla., in 1999. He was preceded in death by one son, Bobby Burgess; and one sister, Teri Hood.
Survivors include his wife, Judi Johnston Burgess; two daughters, Tanya Wages and husband, Joe, of Clarksville and Tammy Bender and husband, Barry, of Ventura, Calif.; two brothers, Edward (Bob) Burgess and wife, Gail, and Stanley "Wayne" Burgess and wife, Mary, all of Pauls Valley, Okla.; and four grandchildren, Kaylee and Blake Bender, Justis Burgess, and Logan Wages.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, at Wooster Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Dean officiating.
Carl E. Phillips
Carl E. Phillips, 75, of Hartman died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at his home.
He was a native of Hartman, son of the late Harve and Ora Holt Phillips, member of the International Union of Operating Engineers No. 101, and was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Jean Phillips; one son, Carl Wayne Phillips; and three sisters, Iva Anderson, Reba Green, and Ava Strope.
Survivors include two daughters, Debra Jean Kline of Marietta, Ga., and Mary Ann Williams of Hartman; one sister, Georgia Bramlett of Arizona; one brother, Cecil Phillips of Hartman; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were at 9 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3, at West Mount Zion cemetery with Rev. John Kindrix officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
