Clara Belle Horne
Clara Belle Horne, 98, of Clarksville died Thursday, April 26, 2001, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
A native of Roseville, she was a daughter of the late William S. and Linda Highfield Holzman, widow of Roy A. Horne, member of the First Baptist Church, retired employee of the Preibe Processing Plant in Clarksville, and was preceded in death by one daughter, Betty Lou Callahan.
She is survived by one daughter and two sons-in-law, Nina and Charles Landry of Hilton Head Island, S. C., and Charles Callahan of Clarksville; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Roy (Bud) Horne of Fayetteville and George and Georgia Ann Horne of Metairie, La.; one brother, Rudolph Holzman of Ozark; ten grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, April 30, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Dr. Robert Brown officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.
Pallbearers were Earl Green, Wayne Bradley, Eldon Scoggins, Robert Ed Farris, Wilburn Hendrix, and Wendell Self.
Doris Doyle Gross
Doris Doyle Gross, 86, of Clarksville died Wednesday, April 25, 2001, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a son of the late William Ellison and Sara J. Mathews Gross, a Baptist, retired from the U. S. Army, and was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Gross.
Survivors include his widow, Alean McGuire Gross; one daughter, Beverly Nelson of Clarksville; and five grandchildren, Barry Nelson of Kentucky, Kathleen Patterson of Clarksville, Michelle Nelson of Springdale, and Richard Gross and Scott Gross, both of Hot Springs.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. O. L. Kinsey and Rev. Mike Sawyer officiating. Burial was in Lone Pine cemetery.
Pallbearers were David Gilliam, Carl Turpin, Philip Taylor, Harold Pitts, Mark Hatchett, and Gary Jacobs.
Era C. Hannebaum
Era Copeland Hannebaum, 93, of Clarksville died Thursday, April 26, 2001, at Clarksville Convalescent Home.
She was a native of Dardanelle, daughter of the late Thomas Ware and Mary Ann Carter Crow, widow of Elmer B. Hannebaum and Johnny Copeland, former resident of Knoxville, and member of the Knoxville First Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, John T. and Carrol Copeland of Russellville; one daughter, Anna Jo (Ann) Taylor of Clarksville; two grandchildren, Greg Copeland of Bauxite and Robert D. Cryns of Whitney, Texas; and two great-grandchildren, Aaron Copeland of Bauxite and Shelby Ann Cryns of Whitney, Texas.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, April 30, at the Knoxville First Baptist Church with Rev. Ira Taylor and Rev. Lowell Eaton officiating.
Burial was in the Knoxville cemetery under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
Pallbearers were John Wheeler, Charlie Mann, James Mize, Bill Kenner, Jim Murdock, and Bruce Price.

Edwin Phillip Jarmon
Edwin Phillip Jarmon, 70, father of Tom Jarmon of Ennis, Texas, formerly of Clarksville, died Wednesday, April 25, 2001, at the Methodist Central Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
A native of Oklahoma City, Okla., he was a son of the late Edward and Alto Kenner Jarmon, attended Capitol Hill High School, served in the U. S. Navy for 20 years having retired in 1967, former member of the VFW, and for the past five years has been traveling for the Army Corps of Engineers.
Survivors include his widow, Flo A. Buck Jarmon; two other sons, Phillip K. Jarmon of Bristol, Texas, and Mark Jarmon of San Angelo, Texas; one daughter, Debbie Swank of McKinney, Texas; one brother, Robert (Grid) Jarmon of Guthrie, Okla.; one sister, JoAnn Moore of Longview, Texas; nine grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 11 a.m. Monday, April 30, at J. E. Keever Mortuary Chapel in Ennis, Texas, with burial at 3 p.m. at the D/FW National cemetery.
Fern O. King
Fern Ogilvie King, 86, of Clarksville died Friday, April 27, 2001, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
A native of Little Rock, she was a daughter of the late Orlan O. and Viola Bean, widow of Oden C. King, member of the Harmony Presbyterian Church and past secretary of the Women's Association for 13 years, member of the local NARFE Chapter, graduate of Little Rock High School, attended The College of the Ozarks in Clarksville and Arkansas State Teachers College in Conway, and was preceded in death by one son, Edward King; and one brother, Barney H. Ogilvie.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Frank McHenry of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; one son and daughter-in-law, Barney and Traci King of Hughesville, Md.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, at the Harmony Presbyterian Church with Rev. William Woodard officiating.
Burial will be in Harmony cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Nelson, Raymond Wyers, Abe Laster Jr., David Laster, Gerald Laster, and Richard Stephens.

Jasper Case Jr.
Jasper Case Jr., 63, died Wednesday, April 18, 2001, at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kan.
A native of Johnson County, he was a son of the late J. N. and Ethel Case, attended Oark School and Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, a retired realtor, and was preceded in death by one brother, Arlie Case; and four sisters, Marie McKinney, Anna Dewberry, Lois Johnson, and Verna Warren.
Survivors include one sister, Josephine Baker of Wichita, Kan.; three nephews, Carl Dewberry of Tulsa, Okla., Jim Baker of Wichita, Kan., and Rick Johnson of California; and six nieces, Wilma Boyer, Barbara Ackerman and Delores Johnson, all of California, Anna Baskin of Clarksville, Wanda Tolbert of Nashville, Tenn., and Karen Knipp of Wichita, Kan.
Graveside services and burial were April 24 at Kechi cemetery in Wichita, Kan.
Ruth Bartlett
Ruth Bartlett, 85, of Clarksville died Thursday, April 26, 2001, at Medical City Dallas Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
A native of Eudora, she was a daughter of the late Sanford and Valerie Miller Sandusky, widow of Irvin (Boone) Bartlett, attended Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Beta Sigma Phi.
Survivors include one daughter, Dicki Lavine of Dallas, Texas; two grandchildren, Todd Setser of Springdale and Tara Yarbrough of Dallas, Texas; five great-grandchildren, Justin Setser and Jordon Setser, both of Springdale, Garrett Yarbrough, Jackson Yarbrough, and Mason Yarbrough of Dallas, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services and burial were at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at Oakland cemetery with Rev. Lowell Eaton officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Ruth Pervier
Ruth Pervier, 74, of Boone, Iowa, mother of Mrs. Reece (Linda) Behimer of Knoxville, died Wednesday, April 25, 2001, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa.
A native of Boone County (Iowa), she was a daughter of the late Robert O. and Ruth Kincade Johnson, widow of Harold (Gene) Pervier, a nursing aide for Nursing Services of Iowa prior to retiring in 1992, and was preceded in death by one son, Wallace; one granddaughter, Jessica Behimer-Hancock; two sisters, Maude Miller and Selma Burke; and two brothers, Orville and Roland Johnson.
She is survived by two other daughters, Pam Craven of Ames, Iowa, and Trisha Davis of Des Moines, Iowa; four sisters and one brother-in-law, Vera Lindgren, Gladys Lindgren, and Lois Miller of Ogden, Iowa, and Mary and Ed Laube of Boone, Iowa; nine grandchildren, Danelle Chandler of Fort Smith, Mrs. Dean (Gigi) Jones of Coal Hill, Mrs. Heath (Sereniti) Haynie and Katie Behimer of Knoxville, Eric Behimer of Clarksville, Micah (Spike) Craven of Minneapolis, Minn., Samuel (Luke) Craven of Ames, Iowa, and Shalee Jones and Shauna Davis of Des Moines, Iowa; four great-grandchildren, Brody Basinger of Fort Smith, Cody Jones of Coal Hill, and Jennifer and Heather Hancock of Fallon, Nev.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Friday, April 27, at Schroeder Memorial Chapel in Boone, Iowa, with Rev. Don Stover and Rev. John Wayne Sparks officiating. Burial was in the Glenwood cemetery in Odgen, Iowa.
