Jimmie (Jim) Moore
Jimmie (Jim) Moore, 70, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, March 31, 1999.
He was a maintenance employee for Trane Industries, World War II Army veteran, member of Heritage Baptist Church, member and past president of Local 716 UAW, and a mediator for the state of Arkansas Labor Department under Governor David Pryor.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ann Moore; three daughters, Linda Hall, Charlotte Bartlett and Connie Harp, all of Clarksville; one stepdaughter, Gail Jones of Fort Smith; two sons, Jim D. Moore of Lamar and Michael R. Moore of Fort Smith; one stepson, Wayne Jones of Van Buren; one sister, Coleta of Gans, Okla.; three brothers, Chet Moore and Birdie Moore, both of Fresno, Calif., and Freeman Moore of Gans, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 11 a.m. Monday, April 5, at Heritage Baptist Church.
Burial was in the U. S. National cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers were Pat O'Brien, Ed Davidson, Randal Barbery, Bill Barbery, Bill Martin, and Brad Lewis.
J. D. Yarbrough
J. D. Yarbrough, 74, of Maxwell, Calif., died Wednesday, March 31, 1999, in California.
He was a native of Clarksville, son of the late Hobart C. and Paula Jones Yarbrough, 1944 graduate of Clarksville High School, graduate of The College of the Ozarks in Clarksville, and performed graduate studies at the University of Arkansas and Stanford University in California. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, rancher, an academic counselor and golf coach at Chabot College in Hayward, Calif., for several years, and was preceded in death by one son, Kirby Yarbrough.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Maureen Yarbrough; one son, Dane Yarbrough of San Francisco, Calif.; three sisters, Oleta Payne of Clarksville, Jessie Park of Russellville, and Alpha Klotz of Russell; and one brother, Loral Yarbrough of Mesa, Ariz.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 8, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bill Woodard officiating. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Bo Klotz, Kenneth Douthit, Danny Park, Rick Smith, Jack Phillips, and Sammy Wish.
Honorary pallbearers will be E. G. Smith, Stewart Willey, Fritz Ehren, Francis Pitts, Johnny Bock, and Dan Edwards.
Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, at Hardwicke Funeral Home.

Ralph Elwood Beal Jr.
Ralph Elwood Beal Jr., 80, of Ozone died Monday, April 5, 1999, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a son of the late Ralph Elwood and Vina Dickerson Beal, member of the Stillwell Baptist Church, a 22-year employee of the U. S. Postal Service, and was preceded in death by one brother, John Beal of Ackerly, Texas.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. M. E. Vance Beal; two daughters and sons-in-law, Laura and Steve Thulis of Clarksville and Mary Jan and Jay Cannon of Woodstock, Ga.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Elwood (Ann) Beal III of Garland, Texas, and Mr. and Mrs. James Vance (Molly) Beal of Rowlett, Texas; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 7, at Stillwell Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Goodman and Rev. Vernon Bass officiating. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 9, at Restland Memorial cemetery in Dallas, Texas. Local arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wanda Faye Hook
Mrs. Wanda Faye Hook, 61, of Gentry died Sunday, April 4, 1999, in Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Oark to Ester and Haven H. Lawrence Reeves, and was a former resident of Siloam Springs and Gravette.
Survivors include her husband, Arthur C. Hook; four sons, Arthur Cody Hook of Gentry, Donny Phillips of Decatur, Steve Phillips of the home, and Earl Phillips of Siloam Springs; two daughters, Cindy Fullerton of Siloam Springs and Shelly Cooke of Aztec, N. M.; one stepson, Floyd Hook of Gentry; one stepdaughter, Shirley Hook of Dallas, Texas; one brother, Arnold Reeves of Conway; one sister, Argie McCarley of Conway; two half-sisters, Virgie Dalton of Rogers and Alice Presser of Clarksville; 16 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, at Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs with Rev. Dennis Jech officiating. Burial will be in Gentry cemetery.
Condrey B. Swindell
Condrey B. Swindell, 81, of Rogers, father of Benny Swindell of Centerton, formerly of Clarksville, died Friday, Feb. 6, 1999, at St. Mary Hospital in Rogers.
He was a native of Granby, Mo., son of the late Walter and Rhoda Bradbury Swindell, and a member of Temple Baptist Church in Rogers where he served as a deacon. He owned and operated the Swindell Feed Mill in Centerton during the 1950s-60s, the Gravette Western Auto Store during the 1960s-70s, and the Benton County Real Estate of Gravette during the 1970s-80s.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Leota Mason Swindell; one other son, Dr. William G. Swindell of Rogers; two sisters, Mildred Wasson of Tulsa, Okla., and Lou Ann Carver of Adair, Okla.; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one niece; and one nephew.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, at Temple Baptist Church in Rogers with Rev. Ron Fields officiating.
Burial was in Mt. Pleasant cemetery in Hiawassi under the direction of Callison-Lough Funeral Service of Bentonville.
Memorials may be made to the Temple Baptist Church in Rogers or the Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church in Hiawassi.
Mrs. Golda Faye Vire
Mrs. Golda Faye Vire, 62, of Ozark died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1999, at her home.
She was a Baptist and daughter of the late Theodore Roosevelt and Otha Emaline Pipkins Wyers.
Survivors include her husband, Vernon H. Vire; two daughters and one son-in-law, Kara and Bill Dye of Pipe Creek, Texas, and Judy Goekler of Southlake, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Ellen Vire of Water Valley, Miss.; two sisters, Betty Jo Miller of Little Rock and Patty Wyers of Ozark; three brothers, Daniel Wyers of Jasper, Arnold Wyers of Akron, Ohio, and Ralph Wyers of Ozark; and two sisters-in-law, Aileen Terry of Clarksville and Jewell Pack of Springdale.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in Patterson Springs cemetery.

Gary I. Whitten
Gary I. Whitten, 48, of Clarksville died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, at his home.
He was a native of Roby, Texas, former resident of Crossett, son of the late Iva Whitten, and retired Georgia Pacific Paper Company employee.
He is survived by three daughters, Lara Shook of Little Rock, Nikki Kelley of Russellville, and Samantha Whitten of Clarksville; mother, Dovie Carter of Crossett; one sister, Ann Bonnette of Monroe, La.; two brothers, Jerry Whitten of Bastrop, La., and Jimi Whitten of Leavenworth, Kan.; and one grandchild, Hannah Kelley of Russellville.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, at Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Crossett. Burial will be in
Crossroads cemetery at Crossett with local arrangements under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Mrs. Inez N. Willey
Mrs. Inez N. Willey, 84, of Waterford, Mich., formerly of Johnson County, died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999, at her home.
She was a member of the Church of Christ, daughter of the late Frank T. and Mary E. Breedlove Moore, and widow of Walter Bean and Suel E. Willey.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Ann Morris of Waterford, Mich.; two sons, Norman F. Bean of Mountain Home and Jimmy W. Bean of Fayetteville; one sister, Ila Mae Selby of Richmond, Calif.; one brother, Ancil Moore of Crockett, Calif.; ten grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Mitchel Bean officiating. Burial was in Mt. Airy cemetery.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.
