Jerry Dale Clayborn Sr.
Jerry Dale Clayborn Sr., 51, of Clarksville died Wednesday, March 24, 1999, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a member of Stillwell Bible Baptist Church, employee of Greenville Tube, and son of the late Dick Clayborn and Anna Mae Bly of Altus.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Donna Faye Scott Clayborn; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Dale (Jeanne) Clayborn Jr. of Lamar and Richard Eugene Clayborn of Clarksville; eight sisters, Sue Marvel of Clarksville, Nina Patrick, Judy Ingram and Tammy Mason, all of Ozark, Joyce Harris of Wichita Falls, Texas, Jeanie Clayborn of New Boston, Texas, Vickie McKinney of Van Buren, and Shirley Bly of Mulberry; two brothers, Richard Clayborn of Altus and Jimmy Clayborn of Alma; one granddaughter, Kendalle Rayne Clayborn of Lamar; and one grandson, Collin Andrew Birkhahn of Lamar.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Friday, March 26, at Stillwell Bible Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Goodman officiating.
Burial was in Stillwell cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers were Barry Park, Sid Kern, Leon Kern, Jeff Clayborn, Dee Patton, and Jerry Dean.
Honorary pallbearers were Tony Marvel, Josh Dean, and Ricky Inklebarger.
Mrs. Jessie Lee Foster
Mrs. Jessie Lee Foster, 91, of Clarksville died Friday, March 26, 1999, at Clarksville Convalescent Home.
She was the daughter of the late John and Janie Taylor Davis, widow of Clyde Foster, and a Methodist.
She is survived by one daughter, Pearlene Odom of Hawthorne, Nev.; five granddaughters, Cecilia James of Russellville, Marilyn Austin and Faye Holmes of Fort Smith, and Shirley Trowell and Toni McNell of Sparks, Nev.; three grandsons, Cecil Foster Jr. of Russellville, and James Ruel Odom and Darrell Odom, both of Hawthorne, Nev.; and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 2, at Exxium Tabernacle OME Church in Russellville with Rev. Steve Lake officiating.
Burial will be in Reed cemetery at Russellville under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The body may be viewed from 11 a.m. until service time at the church.
Mrs. Julia F. Powell
Mrs. Julia F. Powell, 80, of Lamar died Friday, March 26, 1999, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Siloam Springs, daughter of the late Ross M. and Zona Lively Cundiff, member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, former resident of Russellville, and was preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Clayton Powell, and one granddaughter, Amy Knoernschild.
Survivors include her husband, Clayton C. Powell; three daughters, Shirley Choate and Linda Fuentes of Granada Hills, Calif., and Sharon Knoernschild of Lamar; one half-sister, Ruth Ramsey of Russellville; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, at the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Allen Grant officiating.
Burial was in Shiloh-Williamson cemetery under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville..
Active pallbearers were grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Rollow and Jerri Rollow.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
Mrs. Blanche Cline
Mrs. Blanche Cline, 73, of Hartman died Wednesday, March 24, 1999, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of South Carolina, daughter of the late Leonard and Iva Lane, member of Coal Hill VFW Auxiliary 8532 and was preceded in death by one son, Leonard Cline.
She is survived by her husband, Oscar Cline.
The body was cremated. Local arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the West Mount Zion cemetery Association, Route 1 Box 245, Hartman, AR 72840.
Michael Kevin Wano Jr.
Michael Kevin Wano Jr., 18, of Coal Hill died Saturday, March 27, 1999, at Johnson Regional Medical Center from injuries sustained in a one-vehicle accident on March 26 on County Road 83.
He was an employee of Wal-Mart Distribution Center.
Survivors include his father, Michael Wano Sr. of Oklahoma; mother, Kathy Joyce Wilson of Coal Hill; two sisters, Sheena Rose Marie Wano and Summer Dawn Wano, both of Coal Hill; and grandmothers, Rosemary Wano of Chicago, Ill., and Joyce Marie Wilson of Coal Hill.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, March 29, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Schlinker officiating. Burial was in Coal Hill cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Beau Morgan, Luke Morgan, Bradley Jones, Charles Steele, Ray Hanson, and Daniel Rice.
Honorary pallbearers were Jaylee Archer, Jeremy Adams, Mark Archer, and Gary Edwards.
Mrs. Nona Jeanette King
Mrs. Nona Jeanette King, 82, of Altus died Thursday, March 25, 1999, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Fort Smith, daughter of the late Henry and Ester McDade Slusser, and a Pentecostal.
She is survived by her husband, James Coy King; and one sister, Alliene Monahan of North Little Rock.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 27, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Wilburn officiating. The body was cremated.
Tamera Tine Dodge
Tamera Tine Dodge, 14, of Clarksville died Friday, March 26, 1999, at Knoxville from injuries sustained in a one-vehicle accident.
She was a student at Lamar School, a member of the Assembly of God Church, and was preceded in death by grandparents, Loyd Dodge and Ernestine Phillips.
Survivors include her father, Alan Dodge of Lamar; mother, Connie Edwards Dodge of Clarksville; one brother, Rodney Alan Dodge of Lamar; and grandmother, Charlene Dodge.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Monday, March 29, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leon Ketcherside officiating. Burial was in Minnow Creek cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Larry Hicks, Daniel Zachary, Tanner Storment, Justin Wyles, Derek Partin, and Bubba Umholtz.
Honorary pallbearers were the 1998-99 Lamar High School senior cheerleading squad.
