Mildred B. Goleman
Mildred Bernice Goleman, 83, of Knoxville died Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010, at Knoxville.
She was a native of Louisiana, daughter of the late C.D. and B.B. (Monk) Stephens, the youngest of eight children, widow of A.G. Goleman, and attended Knoxville Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth W. Goleman of Knoxville; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, at the Knoxville cemetery with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Ronald M. Wilbanks
Ronald Marshall (Ronnie) Wilbanks, 74, of Austell, Ga., whose brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Penny (Tabor) Wilbanks, reside in Clarksville, died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, at Emory Midtown Hospital.
He and his late wife, Shirley Gann Wilbanks, were former owners/operators of South Cobb Florist and he was a son of the late Emily Maude (Partin) and Burt Wilbanks Sr., printing pressman, and Mason serving as a member in the Austell Latham Lodge.
Survivors include one daughter, Vivian and husband, Glenn Whitehead, of Cumming, Ga.; three sons, Jeff and wife, Tracy, Wilbanks of Mableton, Ga., and Terry Allen Wilbanks and Wendell and wife, Karran, Wilbanks, all of Austell, Ga.; two granddaughters, Pam Hackett of Flowery Branch, Ga., and Kate Snyder of Goldsboro, N.C.; one great-grandson, Jadon Hackett; one great-granddaughter, Daphne Snyder; two other brothers, Burt Wilbanks of Carrollton, Ga., and Larry Wilbanks of Cartersville, Ga.; and one sister, Ann Chapman of Smyrna, Ga.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at Roy Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Austell, Ga., with Rev. Steve George officiating. Burial was in Barber cemetery at Mableton, Ga.
Russell E. Walker
Russell Eugene Walker, 58 of Ozark, whose sister and brother-in-law, Jackie Ann and Bill W. Hill, reside in Clarksville, died Friday, Feb. 12, 2010, at his home.
He was a native of Ozark, son of the late Eugene Walker, graduated from the Ozark School System in 1969 and the University of Arkansas with a bachelor of science degree in agriculture business in 1975, employed by the Arkansas State Plant Board for six years while residing in Stuttgart, and member of First Baptist Church at Branch.
Survivors include his wife of 22-plus years, Vonda Dee Cravens Walker; two daughters, Andrea Rose Walker and Bethany Leigh Walker of the home; two sons, Caleb Eugene Walker and Daniel Raymond Walker of the home; mother, Melba "Rachel" King Walker of Ozark; two other sisters and brothers-in-law, Jeania and Larry Dale Brown of Mansfield and Mary Ethel and Alfred Williams of Ozark; one uncle, Elvin Walker Jr. of Ozark; one aunt, Pauline Stroal of California; mother-in-law, Mahalla "Hallie" Cravens of Hartville, Mo.; one sister-in-law, Rebecca Lillard and husband, Mike, of Hartville, Mo.; one brother-in-law, Joel Cravens and wife, Sheila, of Hartville, Mo.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral was at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15, at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with Rev. Marcus Brown, Rev. John Matthews, and Rev. Tim Hobbs officiating. Burial was in Morgan Hill cemetery at Ozark.
Active pallbearers were Joel Cravens, Rodney Cravens, Mike Lillard, Bill Hill, Alfred Williams, Matthew Brown, and Larry Brown.
Honorary pallbearers were Mike Ford, Garrett Cravens and Joshua Hill.

Viola V. Carey
Viola Virginia Carey, 93, of Clarksville died Friday, Feb. 19, 2010, at Clarksville Rehabilitation Center.
She was a native of Rosetta, daughter of the late Henry and May Officer, widow of Pierce Samuel Carey, beautician, attended Ozone Full Gospel Church and was preceded in death by four sisters, Veronia Einert, Laura Carey, Mildred England, and Billie Larson.
Survivors include two sons, Pierce Donald Carey and James Douglas Carey, both of Ozone; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in Minnow Creek cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Kent Carey, Jeremy Pelts, Jason Pelts, Josh Stumbaugh, Lee Blackard and Will Blackard.
Honorary pallbearers were Jokoby Sparks and Brandon McGuire.
William A. Stepp
William Albert Stepp, 93, of Ozone died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home.
He was a son of the late Joseph Equill and Clarsie Margaret Arbaugh Stepp, retired farmer, and Mason.
He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins including Dean and Marilyn Case of Ozone.
Graveside services, burial, and Masonic rites were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, at Oark cemetery with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
William L. Wilbanks
William Larry Wilbanks, 64, of Cartersville, Ga., whose brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Penny (Tabor) Wilbanks, reside in Clarksville, died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010.
He was a native of Atlanta, Ga., and son of the late Emily Maude (Partin) and Burt Wilbanks Sr.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Grace Butler Wilbanks; children, Gerald Jiles of Ranger, Ga., Terry Hart of Cartersville, Ga., and Tracy Hatfield and Rodney Wilbanks, both of Ohio; one sister, Ann Chapman of Smyrna, Ga.; one other brother, Burt Wilbanks of Carrollton, Ga.; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, at Owen Funeral Home Chapel in Cartersville, Ga., with B.J. Piatt and Scott Stephens officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memory Gardens.
Arvil Earl Harmon
Arvil Earl Harmon, 91, of Tulsa, Okla., died Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010, in Claremore, Okla.
He was a native of Lamar, son of the late Benjamin Franklin and Molly Tate Harmon, served in the Navy during World War II, and was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Pauline Lollis Harmon; two brothers, Marvin and Roy; one sister, Dona; and one granddaughter, Michele Ferguson.
Survivors include one daughter, Janice Steed of Tulsa, Okla.; two sons, Roger Harmon and wife, Madeline, of Tulsa, Okla., and Randy Harmon and wife, Carol, of Vinita, Okla.; five grandchildren, Jonalyn Smith and husband, Terry, Kenneth Steed and wife, Melva, Robert Harmon and wife, Rachele, Nanci Kissel and husband, Eric, and Justin Harmon; 11 great-grandchildren, Vanessa, Cindy, Brent, Craig, Jesse, Angela, Audrey, Andrew, Joseph, Victoria, and Angelina; three great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Bessie Rowbotham of Lamar.
Funeral was at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3, at Peters-Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with Larry Merideth officiating. Graveside services and burial were at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 4, at Lamar cemetery.
George James Tencleve
George James Tencleve, 85, of Scranton died Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a native of Shoal Creek, son of the late George and Christine Engle Tencleve, World War II Air Force veteran, dairy farmer, member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Morrison Bluff City Council, American Legion, Scranton School Board for 15 years having served as president, Farm Bureau, Logan County Cooperative, and served on the AMPI Board. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Ben Baumgartner; and one sister, Ruth Peterson.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Josephine Tencleve; five daughters, Phyllis Koerdt and husband, Jerry, Alice Hughes, Lois Duvall and husband, Jeff, Ellen Kirbo and husband, Jackie, and Pam Siebenmorgen and husband, Dennis; seven sons, Ron Tencleve and wife, Charlotte, Jim Tencleve and wife, Jan, Ken Tencleve and wife, Deborah, David Tencleve and wife, Diane, Tim Tencleve and wife, Susan, Bruce Tencleve and wife, Jeanine, and Mike Tencleve; one sister, Leona Koch; 29 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Rosary service was at 7:45 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3, at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Subiaco. Funeral mass was at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 4, at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Interment was at Sts. Peter and Paul cemetery at Morrison Bluff under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
Active pallbearers were grandsons, Brandt, Jeff, Andrew, Keith and Matthew Tencleve, Ryan Koerdt, Allen Hughes, and Justin Stovall. Grandchildren served as honorary pallbearers.
Jackie Marie James
Jackie Marie Smith James went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, Oct. 1, 2010. She was the fourth child born to Preston Elbert and Grace Taylor Thomas Smith on June 6, 1928. She was raised in the Johnson and Newton county areas. She attended school in several one room school houses at the time ending her school career at Oark. As a young woman, she worked at Armor Chicken Plant in Bentonville, Arkansas. She married
Charlie C. James on March 6, 1954. Together they had and raised six children on Low Gap Road in northern Johnson County. She dedicated her life to her family, endlessly cooking, cleaning and washing clothes. She especially loved raising a garden and canning. She won several ribbons at the Johnson County Fair after her family was raised. Making jelly was her specialty. She was a member of the Hartman United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Imogene Arbaugh and Eileen Smith; two brothers, Leo Smith and Johnnie Smith; and her husband of 36 years.
She is survived by six children, Anita Cooper of Clarksville, Joel James of Hartman, Debbie James of Hartman, Arkansas, Rickey James of Hartman, Arkansas, Vanessa Thomas of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Gracie Laura Griffin of Fayetteville; one daughter-in-law, Deborah James of Hartman; three sons-in-law, Roger Griffin of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Bobby Cooper of Clarksville and Gerald Thomas of Broken Arrow, Okla.; one sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Marvin Graves of Springdale, Arkansas, one brother and sister-in-law, Dolin and Lorene Smith of Farmington, Arkansas, 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 4, 2010, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel, Clarksville, Arkansas. Pastor Regina Turner officiated. Burial was in the West Mount Zion cemetery, Hartman, Arkansas.
Pallbearers were Bryan Cooper, Sonny James, Ed Newsom, Terry Stamps, Paul Vickers, and Robert Wofford.
Roller-Cox Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
