Vada L. Tomlinson
Vada L. (Twiggy) Tomlinson, 84, of Clarksville died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a native of Glasford, Ill., daughter of the late George and Agnes Sonnemaker Clauson, and was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Roger Tomlinson; two sons, Gary Beckstead and wife, Sharon, of Lexington, Tenn., and Harry Beckstead and wife, Mary, of Clarksville; one stepson, Kevin Tomlinson of Canton, Ill.; one stepdaughter, Tammy Fanning of Topeka, Kan.; three sisters, Vivian Lowder, Blanche Wilkinson and Beulah Wilkinson and brother-in-law, Bob Wilkinson, all of Canton, Ill.; eight grandchildren and step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The body will be cremated and a private service will be held in Illinois at a later date.
Local arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Billy G. Young
Billy G. Young, 77, of Ozark, uncle of Jackie Young of Clarksville, died Thursday, April 9, 2009, at Ozark.
He was a native of Franklin County, son of the late Jackson Harvey and Eula Jenkins Young, retired OG&E employee and cattle farmer, and was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne Dane Young; one brother, Jack Wallace Young; and one sister, Betty Young Dicks.
He is survived by several brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-law, nieces, and other nephews.
Funeral was at 1 p.m. Monday, April 13, at the First Baptist Church in Ozark with Rev. Ted Darling officiating.
Burial was in Duncan cemetery under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
Active pallbearers were David Jenkins, Bart English, Wayne Hodges, Randy Vest, Robert Jones and Gary Williams.
Honorary pallbearers were Ronnie Mefford and Don Morgan.
Fred Garland
Fred Garland, 80, of Rogers, father of Dennis Garland of Clarksville, died Sunday, April 12, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers.
He was a native of Rosetta, son of the late Pearl and Oscar Garland, owner and operator of Garland Plumbing in Rogers, master plumber for 30 years and later employed by Home Depot in Rogers, and was preceded in death by one brother, James Oscar (J. O.) Garland Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Garland; three other sons, Mike Garland of Bella Vista and Rick Williams and Andy Williams, both of Rogers; five daughters, Midge Hunnicutt of Bella Vista, Rhonda Laughlin and Joey Garland, both of Rogers, Laurie Garland of Wichita, Kan., and Heather Rutherford of Siloam Springs; 19 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers followed by burial at 2 p.m. in Rosetta cemetery.
George H. Post
George Henry Post, 84, of Collierville, Tenn., brother of Trenna Kremers of Clarksville, died Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at his home.
He was a native of Altus, son of the late John and Sophie Sax Post, retired beauty supply salesman, member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Memphis, Tenn., and was preceded in death by four brothers, Father Cletus, Louis, Norbert and Alfred Post; and one sister, Bertha Myers.
Survivors include one son, Phillip George Post of Atoka, Tenn.; three daughters, Georgia Ann Post and Laurie Cotros, both of Collierville, Tenn., and Monica Reilly of Dallas, Texas; six other sisters, his twin, Fronie Evans, and Martha Hoyle, both of Ozark, Rita Evans of Tinley Park, Ill., Lucille Johnson of Wichita, Kan., Gertrude Vaught of Altus and Hermina Falck of Aurora, Iowa; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Rosary was at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Altus followed at 1 p.m. by the reciting of the funeral mass by Father Hilary Filiatreau with deacon, Mathew Post, and deacon-elect, Tim Post of Independence, Iowa, assisting.
Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery under the direction of Canale Funeral Directors.
Pallbearers were Jack, John and Matthew Riley, Peter Cotros, Phillip George Post and David Myers.
The family will have a memorial mass at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 17, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Memphis,Tenn.

Gerald Lee Pellham
Gerald Lee Pellham, 67, of Lamar died Friday, April 10, 2009, at his home.
He was a native of Fresno, Calif., son of the late Granville and Lola Mae Gregory Pellham, Navy veteran, and Methodist.
He is survived by two daughters, Carissa Lato of Alma and Jennifer Pellham of Mansfield, Texas; one son, Steven Pellham of Alma; one brother, Johnny Ray Pellham of Hartman; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. The body was cremated.
Harold Humerickhouse
Harold W. Humerickhouse, 65, of Piney Bay died Saturday, April 11, 2009, at his home.
He was a native of Detroit, Mich., son of the late Howard D. and Helen Margaret Weissert Humerickhouse, graduate of the University of Florida, member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus, former Air Force medic, and retired from the U. S. Forest Service as a boundary manager.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Barbara Humerickhouse; one daughter, Hilary Kemp and husband, Travis, of Lamar; three sons, Nick Humerickhouse of Miami, Fla., Dominic Humerickhouse of Orlando, Fla., and Dr. Edward Humerickhouse and wife, Leah, of Roanoke, Va.; one brother, Donald Humerickhouse and wife, Debra, of Palmetto, Fla.; two grandchildren, Kaleb Humerickhouse and Rachel Kemp; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rosary service and funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father William Wewers officiating.
The body will be cremated.

John C. Durham
John Condray Durham, 66, of Clarksville died Monday, April 13, 2009, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired truck driver, native of Pine Bluff, and son of the late William Condray and Claudia Mae Ray Durham.
Survivors include his wife, Jamie Carson Durham; three daughters, Mary Dell Beck, Henrietta Carol Sullivan, and Elizabeth Bernell Wright; two sons, Bobby Gene Beck and Charlie Randell Beck; three sisters, Sylvia Mae Coffin, Mary Jane Pierce, and Janie Sue Walters; four brothers, John Wesley Dixon, Sylvester Dixon Jr., Jimmy Dewayne Dixon, and Billy Ray Dixon; one stepsister, Kristal Dixon; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 16, at Heber Springs cemetery in Heber Springs under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
