Mildred E. McCollum
Mildred Elizabeth McCollum, 96, of Clarksville died Friday, April 7, 2006, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a daughter of the late Claude and Clara Wasson Taylor, widow of Rev. Raymond McCollum, retired home economics teacher, member of First Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by one infant son, David McCollum; three brothers, Claude, Emory and William Taylor; and one sister, Edith Balcom.
Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Griggs and husband, Max, of Clarksville and Dixie Smetana of Newburyport, Maine; two sisters, Jean Kuempel of San Antonio, Texas, and Marion Dillon of San Antonio, Texas; two grandchildren, Traci Stanley and husband, Jeff, and Timothy Collins and wife, Colleen; four great-grandchildren, Talon and Brock Stanley and Madison and Jillian Collins; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Graveside services and burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 13, at Austin Memorial Park in Austin, Texas, with Dr. George Musacchio officiating.
Local arrangements are under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Regina Faye Bradley
Regina Faye Bradley, 23, of Atkins, Arkansas, died Thursday, April 6, 2006, at UAMS Hospital in Little Rock.
She was born Sept. 15, 1982, at Dardanelle, AR. She attended Pottsville School and South New Hope Assembly of God Church.
Survivors are one daughter, Geanie Marie Barfield of Atkins; two sons, Tommy Joe Barfield and Christopher Barfield, both of Atkins; mother, JoAnn Savage of Atkins; father, Roy Bradley of Dardanelle; one sister, Jessica Bradley of Atkins; one brother, Roy Bradley III of Atkins; and two stepbrothers, Jonathan Bradley and Daniel Bradley, both of Atkins.
Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, April 10, 2006, at South New Hope Assembly of God Church with Rev. C. R. Young officiating.
Burial was in Pisgah cemetery at Pottsville under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home of Clarksville.
Pallbearers were Jerry Savage, Boyd Hunter, Scottie Midwell, Jimmy Savage, Curtis Savage, and Sean Bradley.
Visitation was held from 1-2 p.m. Sunday, April 9, at Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Virginia R. Goble
Virginia R. Goble, 87, of Paris, sister of the late Laura Brooke of Clarksville, died Friday, April 7, 2006, at North Logan Mercy Hospital in Paris.
She was a native of Paris, daughter of the late George Douglas and Ocie Carter Hardwicke, widow of Ed (Bob) Goble, graduate of Paris High School, member of the First Christian Church, and a retired business lady.
Survivors include one brother, Harold Hardwicke of Navoto, Calif.; three nephews, Eddie Brooke of Clarksville and Alan Brooke and Bob Brooke, both of Little Rock, along with several other nephews; and several nieces.
Graveside services and burial were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 11, at Oakland cemetery in Poteau, Okla., with Rev. Phil McGeehee officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Lani Grace Zeiler
Lani Grace Zeiler, nine-month-old daughter of Shannon Rutledge of Clarksville, died Monday, April 10, 2006, at her home.
She was born in Little Rock and was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Juanita Zeiler; and great-grandfather, Mack Yates.
Other survivors are grandparents, James and Glenda Zeiler of Clarksville; great-grandparents, Edith Yates of Clarksville and Byrones (Blue) Zeiler of Clarksville; two brothers, Bryce Parrish and Jordan Rutledge, both of Clarksville; and two uncles, Blue Mack Zeiler and Dustin Zeiler, both of Clarksville.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 13, at Woodland Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Milam officiating.
Burial will be in Woodland cemetery under the direction of Hardwicke Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Blue Mack Zeiler, Dustin Zeiler, Bryce Parrish, and Jordan Rutledge.
LeRoy S. Turner
LeRoy Sparks Turner, 88, died Sunday, April 9, 2006.
She was born in Clarksville to Robert LeRoy and Fannie Mae Gash and later adopted by John and Eliza Sparks, was a member of the Rebekahs and widow of Eugene Washington Turner.
Survivors are one son, Bobbie John Turner Sr. and wife, Jeannette (Jay); two grandsons, Bobbie John Turner Jr. and wife, Jill, and Brian Jeffrey Turner and wife, Angela; four great-grandchildren, Annika, Ian, Conor and Brittany; three nieces, Rebecca Ann Knox and husband, John, Maude Armstrong, and Bonnie Brooks; cousin, Winona Andrews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 13, at Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Owasso, Okla., with burial in Fairview cemetery.
Carroll D. Pruett
Carroll Dean Pruett, 75, of Clarksville died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006, at First Freewill Baptist Church.
He was a son of the late Burl William and Dora Ellen Duvall Pruett, graduate of Lakeside High School, member of Cherry Street Baptist Church and the Gideon's International, Army Corps of Engineers officer during the Korean War, Birmingham area manager of the Pet Milk Company, operated Pruett's Country Store from 1967-1972, and opened and operated Pruett's Water Conditioning Company from 1972 until his retirement in 1989.
Survivors include his wife, Nita Rose Frazier Pruett; two sons, Michael Alan and wife, Sheena Highfill Pruett of Springdale and Gary Dean and wife, Pam Bartlett Pruett, of Clarksville; one brother, John David Pruett and wife, Beverly, of Fresno, Calif.; one sister, Francille Osuna and husband, Richard, of Las Vegas, Nev.; five grandchildren, April and husband, Jeremy Mays, Alicia and husband, Jeremy Proctor, and Gary Allen Pruett and wife, Regina, all of Clarksville, Kristopher Pruett and wife, Amy, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Shondra Pruett of Dallas, Texas; and five great-grandchildren, Rocky Pruett Mays, Maddi Pruett Mays, Alayna Pruett, Payton Pruett, and Gary A. Pruett Jr., all of Clarksville.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, at the Cherry Street Baptist Church in Clarksville with Rev. Jeff Brewer, Rev. Bob Oden, and Rev. Robert Williams.
Burial will be in Stillwell cemetery under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Gary Pruett, Jeremy Mays, Jeremy Proctor, Geary Roberts, Jonathan Roberts, and Steve Gonzales.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rocky Pruett Mays, Kris Pruett, Don Cater, Mark Witherspoon, Darrell Timmerman, and Gary Rhinehart.
Memorials may be made to the Gideon's International.
Enola Fern Wise
Enola Fern Wise, 81, of Clarksville died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.
She was a daughter of the late Charles Edgar Rachels and the late Maude Lee Johnson Rachels, and retired secretary with the Department of Motor Vehicles.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Wise; one daughter, Alice Lee Wise of Laurel, Miss.; one son, James Michael Wise of Livermore, Calif.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The body was cremated.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, at Roller-Cox Funeral Chapel with Rev. Vernon Bass officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease Foundation or the Parkinson's Disease Foundation.
